Monkey was spotted by Allison while he was searching for food, and when she approached him, he ran away and hid inside a garage. She called Hope For Paws' emergency line and Loreta Frankonyte and I responded quickly. The other day Loreta and I got to visit Monkey in his forever home, and it was so cool to see him happy in San Diego with his loving family. Echo was in so much pain, but he was so scared and he wouldn't surrender to us. Loreta and I ran so far we couldn't even tell anymore if we're running north, south, east or west. At one point we completely lost him, got back to the car, drove around, and then we spotted him! Echo's injury was so bad and sadly we couldn't fix his leg, so it had to be amputated. SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: On Tuesday morning, #GivingTuesday, we will have a SUPER SPECIAL video for you!!! Please make a note to yourself to come back - it's going to be SO COOL! Sardine, Salmon and Squid were so lucky that someone heard them cry and called Hope For Paws for help. There was way for these kittens to get into the trash bin without being thrown in deliberately! The bin was huge, there was no food in there... it's just terrible that someone would do such a thing :-( JoAnn Wiltz and Lisa Arturo headed out and saved all of them and now we need everybody to SHARE this story so we can find them homes. After completing this video, we learned what's the medical problem Snowbird is suffering from that causes the weakness in her hind legs. The source of the problem is actually in her HEART and her condition is called: Cardiac Shunt. Later on today the cardiologist will determine if we can fix this with surgery or by managing this condition with medication. Winn and Dixie were so lucky that Citlaly Rodriguez and Isaac Barajas heard their cry for help down in the L.A river, and called Hope For Paws for help. When Loreta Frankonyte and I arrived, we worked with these two awesome kids and together we completed this rescue mission. The dog would always run into an enclosed property, and I asked Vanessa not to trespass and let us handle it. When Lisa Chiarelli and I arrived, construction workers allowed us onto the property, and I highly doubted I would find her there because they were working and it was quite noisy. To my surprise I spotted the dog (Zoe) and to my surprise I also found a puppy (Vanessa said it's possible she had puppies recently, but she couldn't confirm that because she had never seen puppies). Lisa and I approached slowly, and I just knew that Zoe wouldn't leave her baby - Meadow. We asked the construction workers where are the other puppies (it's unusual for a dog to just have one puppy), and they told us that 4 days prior to our arrival, kids had stolen the other 5 puppies. We asked if they knew where we could find these kids, but they had no idea. Lisa and I sat with Zoe and Meadow for 30 minutes, gained their trust, and together we continued to the hospital for medical treatment. A couple of days later, Zoe and Meadow continued to their foster home with Shelter Hope Pet Shop and they are now ready to be adopted :-) Please share their rescue story on your favorite social media network so we can find them amazing homes. It is clear that both females, Nessie and Dee-Dee recently had puppies, and the owner probably felt like he got what he needed from them and so he dumped them along with the boy, Charlie. On this rescue, I was joined by Zainab Zakria from the UK who helped me save the trio. After we got them medical care, they continued to their foster home with Shelter Hope Pet Shop, and they are now looking for their loving forever homes.
