Censorship within Conservative Grassroots
How do Conservative Journalists survive censorship and cancel culture within the conservative movement? I ask Gail Griswold, Local Control, and Gretchen Garrity, Right2WinOzarks. We also laugh a lot.

Conservatives desire local journalists who will tell local stories. They need us to speak for them. Yet, because of the lack of journalism for so long, when we speak the truth, they circle the wagons and begin to exclude people for daring to speak out.
Is this what Conservatives should do? Kill Free Speech and Freedom of the Press? Do they only give lip service to these ideals? Do they understand that Conservative values mean accepting a debate of ideas—even if it is a vigorous debate?
It can feel as a journalist that neither political party wants us to be truth-tellers, but it is a disappointment that the party that says they believe in the 1st Amendment doesn’t mean it when it’s applied to them.

I enjoyed reading Woman in the Stone by S.V. Farnsworth. I was able to secure a podcast with her, and we discussed its complex themes around assault and trauma, the irrational decisions made, and how recovery is a slow process over time.
Farnsworth has built an interesting world driven by character growth. Her descriptions of objects and people are complete and full. She gives her world life through her words.
Living near Joplin, Farnsworth is a local author whose work deserves our attention. While big publishers often dominate our reads, it is crucial to remember the value of independent authors like Farnsworth, who bring fresh perspectives and unique storytelling to the table.
If you're looking for a great new book by a local author, visit S.V. Farnsworth’s website and pick up one of her works.

Tony Petrosino--7th Congressional District Delegate
Tony shares his experiences witht the State Convention and the Floor. He discusses some of the failures of the day.
Mr. Petrosino provides another eyewitness account of the State Convention on May 4th and helps explain what happened. Overall, Nick Meyers and crew bungled many of the procedural parts of the day.
Then Representative Ben Baker, from the 160th district, goes on Elijah Haar’s show on KWTO on 93.3 to misrepresent the actions of the Grassroots, insulting by using “Autistic” as a slur against the Grassroots, and trying to dismiss vetting.
Too many people on May 4th were acting like it was a day to canvas for SOS Jay Ashcroft or Senator Bill Eigel instead of focusing on the State Convention. Both men are running for governor along with Lt. Governor Mike Kehoe.

Fall Guys
We must stop blaming the wrong people as we try to find who is responsible for creating the crisis about the towed vehicles and claiming that the vehicles needed towing.
Mr. Sanders and Mrs. Hope seem to have been trying to help Convention goers out.
My theories about what happened are:
An Employee, without permission, said they would clear cars by towing. They lied.
An Employee was given an incentive to say they were going to tow cars by someone.
The Hotel is lying about its policy. This one seems the least likely as there is no good reason for them to hide their policy, and they would also have no way to distinguish cars from Art Fest, Hotel Guests, Prom Attendees, and Convention Goers by 6 pm when many people had already left.
There are bad actors in this. Either for trying to cover their own butts, for accidentally causing this, purposely causing this, hoping to blame Sophia Shore for this, or hoping to clear the attendees.
We also need to know if the Convention rules allowed this to happen or if the Parliamentarian is to blame for advising Mrs. Shore to allow the motion to proceed. Was she forced to take it by rules, or was it bad advice?

Missouri State GOP Platform Gets Towed Away by Ben Baker and Dan Stacy
******Details*****
Jonica Hope shares information about the Missouri Republican State Convention.
On the crucial date of May 4th, Representatives Ben Baker and Dan Stacy strategically employed parliamentary procedure to halt the resolutions that were in favor of life, medical freedom, and girl sports. They also managed to quash a resolution that could have potentially held representatives like them accountable.
Ben Baker has a history of hurting conservative causes and criticizing conservative journalists.
Jonica shares how they didn't allow a crisis to go to waste when it was announced tow trucks were outside the convention center. While there remain questions about the tow trucks and who called them or if they were there at all.
Go here for more details. https://open.substack.com/pub/hickchristian/p/how-the-gop-platform-was-towed-away?r=2zm770&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=true

SB 727 is a Monstrosity--Don't Let a Free Meal at the VFW Convince you otherwise
Were you not invited to the propaganda meal tonight at the VFW, put on by the Americans for Prosperity? They want to convince you that SB727 is a good bill, despite the fact that they refuse to allow journalist to come and record or ask questions. What does that say to you about their propaganda meal? If they are afraid of the press, then are they really confident about this bill? Or do they hope the gravy will make the lies easier to swallow?
Gretchen Garrity from Right to Win Ozarks and I discuss the problems in SB727, though we don’t provide a meal because we are afraid you might choke on your food when you hear about this bad bill.
This bill is unconstitutional.
It violates our agreement with elected officials to protect us against an overreaching government. They should act in an interposition between the government and us, in this case, DESE and its collusion with wealthy businesses, to gain access to our children for its nefarious purposes.
This bill also strips away the Safe Harbor language, which previously protected homeschooling families by providing a daily log and an activist prosecuting attorney. Now, despite having to do even more work, families no longer have Safe Harbor language, which would have protected them from accusations of educational neglect.
Last, they have created a Fascist agreement with businesses that will make money off of the donated amounts by taking up to 10% for administrative and marketing costs by transferring the wealth to those who “deserve” it, according to this bill.
So, if you don’t go to the VFW to get your propaganda with your meal, then listen to us discuss this bill and the problems with it.
Below are my notes on SB727
Here is the SB727 Text to review.
