When our good friend Amanda asked us to capture her amazing wedding day we were over the moon. When she told us it was going to be at The Monarch in Ogden we couldn’t have been happier, as we LOVE that venue. And when Wes and Amanda finally tied the knot… it was perfect. The amazing Steph did this brilliant tea cup piece at the first ever annual Ogden Tattoo Convention at the Union Station. I’m soo glad I got to capture her amazing art, and can’t wait to work with her again. All footage was shot on my much beloved Panasonic Lumix S1H and the 35mm f1.8 & 50mm f1.8 S lenses. This was also the first event I captured using the Zhiuyn Crane 3S, and I have to say… it’s AMAZING! Definitely my fav setup and kit of all time. When Eric had mentioned to that he was researching UV (ultraviolet) black light tattoo ink, and was willing to bring it in himself… we knew we had to film it. As Kensey mentions, he’s never worked with blacklight reactive tattoo inks before, so this was the perfect opportunity to give it a try. This is the chat we had with Inked By Kensey about working with this particular ink, with some fun video clips to show real time results.
