Valentines Day Jam Pastries
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- Jam of your choice (I used Strawberry)
- Flour for rolling
- Baking paper
Optional
- Egg for egg wash
- 125g icing sugar, mixed with pink food colouring
- 30 ml water (can use more or less depending how think you would like th icing)
1) Roll out the pastry on a floured surface and use cookie cutter in to an equal amount of shapes.
2) Lay one half of the shapes on a lined baking tray and add a small amount of jam to the centre and spread within the middle of the shape.
3) Add the other half of the shapes on top of each and seal with a fork on all corners.(add egg wash here)
4) Cook on 180c for 8-12 mins until golden brown
Optional
5) Mix water and icing to make the icing sugar and drizzle on pastries

Rustic Homemade Wraps
Serves 12
Ingredients:
- 3 cups of flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 4 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1.5 cups of hot water
Instructions:
1) Mix the flour, salt and baking powder in a large bowl then rub in the oil.
2) Add hot water and mix until the dough is soft, then knead the dough for 2 minutes. If you need more add more flour to get the right consistency.
3) Divide the mixture into 12 equal parts, roll into balls and cover with kitchen towel and rest for 15 minutes.
4) Roll out each ball onto a floured side into wrap shapes.
5) Cook each wrap on a high heat for a few minutes pressing down as they cook.

Quick and easy Spanish style chicken and rice. Takes less than 30 minutes to cook and is roughly 290 calories a person.
Serves 3-4 people
- 200g chicken
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 cup uncooked rice
- 2 and 1/4 cups of chicken stock
- 2 teaspoons of smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of cumin
- 1 teaspoon of chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
- salt and pepper or season salt to taster

- Heat olive oil in pan and cook chicken 2/3 mins on each side and mix the seasoning together and add half to chicken
- Remove chicken from pan and set aside
- Add the rice and stock to the pan, then stir in the rest of the seasoning
- Then add the chicken on top of the rice, add lid to the pan and cook for 20 - 25 minutes

- 1/4 cup of salt
- 4 teaspoons of ground black pepper

Ingredients
- half cup bicarbonate of soda
- 10 drops of essential oil
- container with holes in the top to sprinkle
Mix together and add to container. Sprinkle over carpet. Leave for a few minutes then hoover.
Customize to your container size, 10 drops of essential oil to half cup of bicarbonate of soda.

One Pot Hearty, Tasty Potato Soup
Perfect cozy warming one pot potato soup.
Serves 4
Ingredients:
- 5 medium size potatoes
- 2 small white onions thinly diced
- 1 medium red onion thinly diced
- 50 grams butter cubed (this can be substituted for a healthy alternative of your choice)
- 1 medium carrot
- 1 sweet pepper (optional)
- 1 teaspoon of chilli flakes (adjust to your taste)
- Salt and pepper to season
- 500ml beef/ vegetable stock (I use Knorr stock pots)
How to make:
-1) Dice red and white onions and add to pot with the cubed butter and salt and pepper.
2) Cook on low until the onions soft.
3) While the onions are cooking, chop the potatoes, carrots and sweet pepper and then add to the pot.
4) Add the stock and chiili flakes and cook on medium until the potatoes are cooked.
