HK416 A7\A8 clone build part 2
I forgot to mention, but the trigger is HK's newest (with the protective bridge) and I like them so much that even though they are about twice the cost of an LMT trigger (my second favorite which I slightly prefer to Geissele) I have two of them.

AR-15 type piston systems part 1
I forgot to mention that the lightweight T-91 (Caracal 816) bolt carrier has a piston rod block that is taller than the basic T-91 bolt carrier's. the T-91 uses a upper receiver that is slight taller than a standard AR-15, but not as tall as the Caracal 816 or HK416. The basic T-91 bolt carrier and the Caracal 816 one will both fit in a standard AR-15 upper with charging handle, although the center of the divot on the 816 carrier will not line up with gas tube hole in the front of the upper.

I made this video since I thought I may as well put a personal research project from a couple months back to some public use and because I've seen people say that there aren't many option for HK416 handguards, hopefully this video proves otherwise (even if a few of these are no longer produced).

6.5 Grendel magazines
I started out attempting to use E-Lander magazines for my 6.5 grendel builds, but quickly switched to duramag as explained in this video. I have used the amend2 polymer grendel mags, but was less than impressed.
I'm not sure why people think you can't have double stack polymer mags for 6.5 grendel since when you try to load lancers with it the only issue winds up being overall length and lack of taper, not width.
Of course it won't stack as tightly as anything in the .378 rim diameter class so you can't get 30 rounds in the same magazine height, but the D&H 7.62x39 mag I show is a 30 rounder and it naturally has the same .44 rim as grendel, arc, and 5.45x39 which is why I wish D&H made a grendel compatible mag as the duramag only fits 26 rounds.

Haus Manufacturing HK416A5\A7 upper and Brownells HK416 bolt carrier fitment issues
My first video concerning parts for chemically powered mass accelerators!
Sorry for the bad lighting and pauses, this was completely unprepped as I just got the part today.
After looking at the video I realized that it wasn't so much the smaller tip on the Brownell's pin as it was the length of the thin section that allows it to work while keeping regular pins from being able to function. I don't know if HK pins will work in the Brownell's carrier.
After milling down the forward skis on the bolt carrier it fit fine.

Here are some thoughts on someone else's comments on the NGSW program.
Nicholas Drummond (a Defence industry analyst and consultant specialising in Land Warfare. UK advisor to KMW and FN Herstal. Ex-British Army officer) said some things on twitter concerning the NGSW program that I thought were rather interesting; this video is my take on those comments.
I archived the first few tweets so you can more easily find the thread I'm referring to. (Just remove the space after the colon to use the link.)

Armor Options for Your Crye Armor Chassis
Ceradyne produced a variety of plates for the crye armor chassis system, including shoulder, groin, and forearm plates.
Hoplite Armor now makes shoulder, abdomen, and thigh armor plates which work as decent replacements those original plates.
