New Years Day 2023
Well it’s that time of year again when in a fit of total optimism many of us make great promises to ourselves and to others about what we are going to do in the New Year.
The changes we are going to make, the mistakes past we will not repeat going forward because somehow the cosmos has given us a restart on the January 1 2023.

Holy Spirit / Rapture and Tribulation

Sunday November 27 2022
The Rapture and Tribulation are both events in the future for the saved and unsaved alike.
For the saved there will be a rapture and completely bypassing the tribulation.
For the unsaved there will be a complete bypassing of the rapture and the full experience of the tribulation.
That is the future for mankind.

Christians and Politics
If there is anything that will spark a spontaneous debate, if not an outright heated argument, it is a discussion involving politics & religion—even among believers in Jesus Christ.
Christians are not in uniform agreement about many issues, including Christian theology, biblical meanings /verse meanings and yes politically. In most areas there is room to let us agree to disagree, but not every disagreement will allow that as God has given us very specific insights & thoughts on many matters.
Can we have political views separate from the considerations of our Christian faith? What does God’s word tell us.

Ordination of Bob Jernigan
Most pastors are ordained early in their ministry some even before they start…Mine was a little different. I came into God’s ministry late in life and was appointed to my first Church at age 62. I started the ground work and followed the steps to ministry at age 59. I was appointed to and licensed to be a pastor at a United Methodist Church in Tennessee, I had to go to training at Martin Methodist College and to licensing school with the Methodist, but I did not have the required Master in Divinity to be ordain by the UMC , I was a locally appointed pastor. I came to St. Johns UMC in 2015 under same type appointment and licensing. Yesterday I was ordained for the first time after 12 years of serving two churches as their Pastor. I hope the Lord allows me to continue for many more years. This is a short video of that ceremony….Bob

Creation part 3 Sunday August 21 2022
Did Life come from dead chemicals? Many scientists assume life came from non-living chemicals and that this only happened once. They say that everything we see alive, whether plant or animal, came from that first, primordial, single cell. Or like I said last week from Goo to you!
Talk about a humanist religious belief!

Creation VS evolution
Creation VS evolution; God says he created everything in existence in six days of creation. Humanist atheist says it was a natural process taking many billions of years. By faith I believe God's word to be true. Creationists know that God exists and that the Bible is His Revelation to mankind. God and his Word are truly knowable.
Evolutionists likewise have assumptions but their faith is blind.
They take many necessary steps for granted in the molecules-to-man model.
In other words, evolutionists assume that non-living chemicals gave rise to that first living cell which, in turn, mindlessly and randomly evolved into ever and ever more complex forms of life. To believe their goo into you is the ultimate blind faith. Both of these are a religious faith, either in the All Powerful God of creation or the random events of the universe. In this message I list some of the false assumptions.

The Blind Leading the Blind
The Blind leading the Blind never turns out well.
We seem to be a divided and polarized society today. We are divided along political, racial, religious, moral and ethical beliefs. Many have called themselves the “WOKE” when in fact many others believe the “woke” have been blinded by Satan.
This division and confusion should be expected as Satan is the father of lies and confusion.
Before we get too personally judgmental about others we would be wise to remember another scripture.
Matthew 7:3
New Living Translation
