✅ ZEBBUG, GOZO - I went for the hunt to look for the man himself Mr. Leli Cini (aka the Master of Salt). He has been harvesting salt since 1969 but for generations Xwejni Salt Pans has been producing salt and has been featured in many TV stations worldwide. Most recently they were featured in Restaurants on the Edge on Netflix. They have been harvesting genuine sea salt by hand since 1860 in Gozo, Malta! 🇲🇹 I found this place as one of the most unreal places I've ever been. Visiting these Ancient Salt Pans in Gozo, Malta. What an honour! The experience was unreal, unplanned, unrehearsed! ✅ Red Tower (St. Agatha's Tower) - Mellieha, Malta | It could be seen from kilometeres away up in the hills of Mellieha countryside, this Red Tower was built by the Knights of St.John and was used also in WW2. Sadly, we couldn't get inside (or as I've seen also going on top of the tower) ...pretty much we were locked outside of this Red Tower in Malta which was recently given a face lift especially a lick of that world famous red paint that is in evidence as you can see in the video. P.S - As this place is open thanks to volunteers who help out, in these pandemic situations, I understand why sometimes it is closed. ✅ GARDEN OF SERENITY, SANTA LUCIA - MALTA | I went to check out these turtles that I saw on Facebook the other day. They are a new addition to this garden in my village and I spotted them as they were sunbathing as a group, while some took a dip in the pond to freshen up. :) These turtles are called terrapin turtles, which is one of several small species of turtle living in fresh or brackish water. ✅ Paola - Malta | I went to chase the sunset in the fields of Paola and I almost got attacked by a dog that I didn't see coming. I went inside a new route (that I've never taken before) and after I've met a friendly local farmer and had a quick chat with him (he has a great story), I went to a closed alley were I could hear dogs barking and it wasn't a good spot to see the sunset. 📍 Ħal-Safi, Malta | I went to explore one of Malta's oldest villages (that goes back to the Punic-Roman period 1417-1419). Inside this small southern village of Ħal-Safi, I can tell that it is like time stood still (in certain areas) but then few metres away the fusion of old and new building is clearly on the rise. On the outskirts of the beautiful countryside, in this tranquil location, I found abandoned Punic-Roman ruins and amazing large multi-million dollar farmhouses (some cost around $2.1M). Is this where the rich hide in the South of Malta? 📍 Albert Town, Marsa - Malta | For the very first time, there's a Pork Feast inside this 125 years old slaughterhouse in Malta. Although with a handful of behaved protestors outside, they've even opened a small area where they process the meat.
