If there’s one other leitmotif that comes up in my songs it’s time travel… I guess in my brain it made sense that if you were as fast as Sonic you could run so fast it would reverse time. Since this one was mostly inspired by the Genesis game Road Rash (I forget which one) it’s safe to say that this and Venomous Words were both conceptualized after I’d played Road Rash a bunch at my brother’s friend Stuart’s house. Couldn’t tell you what year that was. There’s a very recurrent theme throughout most of these songs about either becoming a machine, becoming one with machines, or admiring machines.
