Chinese Communist Party regulators have just implicitly confirmed strong warnings against investing in China issued by Trump administration officials and independent experts like former Reagan advisor Roger Robinson. Beijing’s investigations of wrongdoing by Alibaba and Ant Group – conglomerates associated with billionaire Jack Ma and favorites of Wall Street – validate the inadvisability of American underwriting of non-transparent and unaccountable Chinese companies. The CCP crackdown on Ma’s enterprises is clearly politically motivated. He dared to criticize China’s financial system and is being punished for it. But such an official take-down can happen to any Chinese company at any time. And U.S. investors generally have no recourse if they suffer costly losses as a result. President Trump and his team are right to have acted to impede CCP fundraising in our capital markets, especially for those helping it oppress the Chinese people and threaten ours. Democrats in Washington and their partisans in the media and corporate headquarters are relentlessly attacking legislation recently enacted for the purpose of restoring election integrity in Georgia. They insist it would suppress minority votes. That’s manifestly not true. But the lie is nonetheless being pushed in the service of suppressing something else – namely, free and fair elections nationwide. Specifically, in coming days, the U.S. Senate is expected to act on S.1, federal legislation that would impose throughout our Union fraud-inviting rules like those that led to contested election results, not only in Georgia’s presidential race, but in five other swing states, as well. Senator Mitch McConnell and every one of his Republican colleagues must withstand the sorts of vicious criticism now being directed at patriotic Americans in Georgia to assure that all of our votes are not suppressed from now on. Hawley’s announcement was reinforced by stunning testimony in the Georgia State Senate Wednesday. Inventor Jovan Pulitzer showed how optical scanning could rapidly detect illegal ballots, then revealed that his team had hacked into and was monitoring in real time vulnerable voting systems being used in Georgia’s run-off elections. America has a problem. In Donald Trump’s second impeachment trial, the former President is not the only one in the dock. So are tens of millions of us if the House prosecutors can successfully implicate Mr. Trump’s supporters in his alleged seditious conspiracy. After all, the stated purpose of Democratic partisans is to prevent Donald Trump from regaining the presidency in 2024. Consequently, they will not only be vilifying him, but using every opportunity to marginalize and suppress like-minded Americans. So, expect to hear a lot in this trial about the threat posed by so-called “racists,” “white supremacists,” “domestic terrorists” and even “Christian insurrectionists.” It doesn’t matter that you are none of those things. It’s said that, “People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.” In the case of Joe Biden, the principle should apply as well to people who live in White Houses. President Biden says his predecessor should not have access to classified intelligence briefings, a courtesy normally extended to former Commanders-in-Chief. Mr. Biden’s stated justification is his fear that Donald Trump “might slip and say something.” If anyone should be denied access to classified information, it should be Joe Biden. He’s notoriously loose-lipped. He’s also been deeply compromised by our nation’s most dangerous adversary – the Chinese Communist Party. And President Biden has demonstrated utter contempt for the most basic of security concerns by reportedly consulting on China policy with his son, Hunter – a profound counter-intelligence risk given more than a billion dollars by CCP operatives.
