What to plant in zone 3
If you live in zone 3 you’ll want to do some planning in order to maximize your planting time. With a last frost date of May 15th and first frost date of September 15. These dates will vary a week or two so it’s important to watch the weather before planting.

Determinate vs. Indeterminate Tomatoes

Things to consider about growing determinate tomatoes:
-Large crop which ripen all at once making it great for canning or large portions
-Can be better suited to be grown in smaller spaces like containers
-Lower maintenance that generally don’t require pruning or the need to be tied up
Things to consider about growing indeterminate tomatoes:
-Require lots of space
-require support once they grow bigger/taller
-Will require more maintenance and pruning
