Facing an aggressive attacker can be daunting, especially if they attempt a bull rush tackle—a direct, forceful charge intended to knock you down. However, with the right self-defense tactics, you can effectively neutralize this threat and protect yourself. Here’s how to stop a bull rush tackle using strategic self-defense techniques that anyone can learn.
Stay Calm and Assess Quickly: The first step is to remain calm. Panic can impair your ability to react effectively. Quickly assess the attacker’s direction and momentum.
Adopt a Stable Stance: Stability is key. Spread your feet shoulder-width apart, slightly bend your knees, and lean forward. This stance increases your balance and prepares you to absorb or redirect the force.
Sidestep and Redirect: As the attacker charges, sidestep swiftly to avoid the full impact. Use the attacker’s momentum against them by redirecting their energy away from you. This can be done by pushing them sideways as you move out of their path.
Use Defensive Techniques: Depending on the situation and your skill level, various defensive techniques can be employed, such as palm strikes, elbows, or knees to vulnerable areas of the attacker, like the nose, throat, or ribs, to halt their advance.
Create Distance: Once you’ve avoided or redirected the charge, create distance between you and the attacker. This gives you space to assess further actions, whether to escape or prepare for another defense.
Stay Aware of Your Surroundings: Always be mindful of your environment. Knowing your surroundings can help you avoid being cornered and find escape routes.
Seek Professional Training: For effective self-defense, consider training in martial arts or self-defense classes. Techniques from Krav Maga, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, or Muay Thai are particularly effective in close combat situations.

3 Excruciating Pressure Points to Humiliate an Attacker
Get Your FREE TRS Striker pocket knife Here
â–ºhttps://fightfast.com/YT_Striker
Pressure points, also known as vital points or vulnerable areas, are specific areas on the human body that can be targeted to inflict pain, discomfort, or disable an attacker temporarily in self-defense situations. It's important to note that using pressure points in self-defense should be used with caution and as a last resort. Always prioritize non-violent conflict resolution and, if possible, seek to escape or de-escalate the situation.
Here are some common pressure points that can be targeted for self-defense:
Eyes: Gouging or poking an attacker's eyes can cause extreme pain and temporary blindness. This is a highly effective and often instinctual response to a threat.
Nose: Striking the nose with a palm-heel strike, elbow, or knee can cause significant pain and potentially incapacitate an attacker momentarily.
Throat: A strike to the throat can cause choking, difficulty breathing, and intense pain. Be very cautious when targeting this area, as it can be dangerous.
Temples: Striking the temples on the sides of the head can disorient an attacker and potentially cause a knockout.
Jaw: A powerful punch or upward strike to the jaw can cause pain and disorientation.
Ears: A hard slap or strike to the ears can disrupt an attacker's balance and disorient them temporarily.
Neck: Targeting the sides or back of the neck can cause pain and discomfort, especially if you hit sensitive nerve areas.
Collarbone: Striking or pressing on the collarbone can be painful and may impair an attacker's ability to use their arm.
Solar Plexus: A strike to the solar plexus (the soft area just below the sternum) can cause an attacker to lose their breath and double over in pain.
Groin: A kick or knee strike to the groin can incapacitate an attacker, particularly if you're dealing with a male assailant.
Kidneys: The lower back area just above the hips can be targeted with a hard strike to cause significant pain.
Pressure Points on Arms and Legs: There are various pressure points on the arms and legs that, when struck or manipulated, can cause pain and temporary disability. These are commonly used in martial arts and self-defense techniques.
It's crucial to remember that the effectiveness of pressure point techniques can vary based on factors such as an attacker's pain tolerance, adrenaline levels, and body size. Also, relying solely on pressure points may not be sufficient in all self-defense situations. Therefore, it's essential to combine pressure point techniques with other self-defense skills, such as striking, blocking, and evasion, as well as de-escalation and escape strategies. Additionally, self-defense training and knowledge of local laws and regulations are crucial for using these techniques responsibly.

Stupid Simple (dirt cheap) Ways To Stop Thieves | Travel Security - Home Security | FightFast
If you haven't seen our previous door defeat videos check them out this video makes more sense once you have seen them. This simple rolled up towel technique prevents would be thieves/kidnappers/criminals from using an under the door tool that opens hotels doors, even when the deadbolt is set.
When it comes to self defense and security an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. The 5 second technique shown in this video completely blocks the under the door lock bypass tool. It'll give you more peace of mind when traveling in the US and abroad, especially for women traveling alone who are much more likely to be targeted. This should NOT be your only self defense plan, but it's such a simple step there is no reason not to do it.

Does That Hotel Latch Really Work? Meet Lock Jockey | Travel Security - Home Security | FightFast
We all feel more secure in our hotel room or home once we swing that little latch into place don't we? Well if you are dealing with a highly motivated attacker, kidnapper, or thief don't place too much faith in it. The lock jockey makes popping it off a very simple task. This tool saves lives but it is also possible for criminals to exploit it. At a cost of $30 it's a no brainer for criminals.
Does this mean the latch is worthless, NO. You should still use it, but know it's limitations. When you are traveling, or if you have this style of latch at home you should always engage it when you are in the room. It's still a great added security measure. Every added layer of security is critical for self defense; you just have to know the vulnerability of your defenses. In our next upload, we'll show you a simple way to make it very difficult for anyone to use the lock jockey on your room.

Criminals Can Open any Hotel Door with This | Travel Security - Home Security | FightFast
Get Your Lethal Fight Enders Here
â–º https://fightfast.com/FightEnders
Are we teaching you how to be a criminal? No, criminals already know this trick. A quick internet search will yield much more nefarious techniques as well. But if you don't know these things exist you can't defend against them. When it comes to self defense, travel security, and home security the good guys (you and us) will almost always be 1 step behind the crooks. The key for us good guys is to learn quick and adapt counter measures. And in all honesty there may be situations where you do use a door defeat tool for the preservation of your life or a loved one. Better to know and not need... as the saying goes.
In this video, Dale Comstock and Joe Teti review an open source door defeat tool called the Keedex K-22 Lever Opening Tool. What's more criminals can construct this tool from ordinary objects as it is an extremely simple concept. Most of us feel pretty secure in our homes, offices, or hotel rooms. Doors make great safety barriers. Once that barrier is taken away we or our belongings become extremely vulnerable especially if we are sleeping, showering, in another room etc. Knowing how to defeat these tools takes away one of the easy ways criminals can enter a safe place to do you harm. When it comes to self defense and travel security an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
TLDR: The video discusses the use of the k22 kydex door opening tool and the need for practice to enhance speed and efficiency, as well as the potential security threat posed by open source devices that can unlock doors without a locksmith.
00:59 🚪 Slide wire under door 6 inches away from frame to avoid getting caught.
01:37 🔑 A device can unlock doors without a locksmith.
02:24 💻 This rollable open source device poses a security threat and needs to be protected against.
03:02 🚪 Ensure room is empty before providing personal security.
03:51 💰 Practicing in hotel rooms can improve robbery efficiency, but criminals already know this.
04:19 🔒 Security is about staying ahead of potential threats
04:44 🚪 Open source equipment can quickly break into hotel rooms

Simple solutions really are sometimes the best. Many instructors way overcomplicate things. We suggest that you instead master a few basics. Of course, Paul Vunak makes this ear slap self defense technique look amazingly simple. And while it is simple, it does take practice to develop power and speed. But it'll take days not months to perfect. If you don't have this simple self defense move in your arsenal you are making a big mistake. It's an incredibly fast, powerful, and versatile opening shot. Best of all, it doesn't require great size or strength.

How Crooks Break Into Hotel Rooms | Travel Security | FightFast
Did you know FightFast also sells tactical gear? Use the Link Below for 20% Off!
http://threatresponsesolutions.com/YouTube
When it comes to security you have to think like a criminal. A savvy crook can get themselves into any room in the hotel with this ruse. It's shocking how effective it can be.
Why do you need to know this?
First, when you stay at a hotel always lock the deadbolt and the latch or chain immediately once you are inside. It's not just the maids that may barge in on you.
Second, it's impossible to secure your room from this kind of attack when you are not in the room. You can't engage the deadbolt or the latch/chain from the outside. So if you have valuables, put them in the safe, take them with you, or ask the front desk to keep them while you are out (obviously this implies you trust the hotel management, make this call on a case by case basis).
Third, if you find yourself in a desperate situation, like a disaster or crisis situation you could find refuge in a hotel room by using this strategy. There are obvious moral implications of using this, but knowing it could save your life. Better to know this and never need to use it, than need it and never have learned it.

High Speed Driving (Steering v Braking Traction) | Technical Driving | Survival | FightFast
If you own a vehicle as your primary means of transportation then you MUST understand high speed and technical driving. It's a critical part of a well-rounded self defense and survival strategy. Remember, a well maintained vehicle could be the only thing between you and safety, but you have to know how to use it.
In this video retired Delta Force Operator and Green Beret Dale Comstock is teaching you the basics of high speed driving; specifically, understanding the relationship between steering traction and braking traction. This dynamic is in play any time you get behind the wheel, but most people are completely unaware of this. They don't teach this in drivers ed.
Outside of a self defense or survival situation understanding these principles will simply make you a better safer driver, especially in rain, snow, or icy road conditions.

Stairwell vs. Elevator In A Hotel | Travel Security | Fighfast
Using stairways while traveling poses a unique risk, one that you will want to avoid. Stairways are often in secluded areas of a building. They have low foot traffic, low visibility, and you can be boxed in. Think of it this way, if you had to ambush someone would you consider a stairway a good place? Yes, you would. Criminals know that too. When it comes to travel security, things as simple as deciding between the stairway and an elevator are important. This is especially true for women and children.
Elevators are also a confined space, however, they are usually well lit and in high traffic locations. Given the choice, barring any unusual circumstances take the elevator.
If you must use a stairway you have to understand how to pie corners. This will give you a split second advantage if things do go wrong.

Defensive Ear Slap into Straight Blast • Self Defense Moves • FightFast
In this self defense lesson you learn how to use an ear slap or palm strike followed by a straight blast in situations where space is limited. When space is limited it's critical to create space for you to escape. The self defense techniques in this video rely on simple gross motor skills to get you to safety quickly. Self defense techniques that rely on fine motor skills go out the window once you have an adrenaline dump.
Some key points to remember from this lesson are, first, the ear slap does not need to land right on the ear to be effective. It's a simple self defense move you can do in tight quarters to start taking control of the situation. It can land anywhere on the head and still work. Second, you must follow up the ear slap with something, in this case a straight blast to put the attacker on his heels with constant forward pressure, and create space for you to escape. These don't need to be knock out punches, we are assuming a larger man is attacking you. These punches are simply a way to overload an attacker, the real key is getting him on his heels with forward pressure. Third, self defense technique is not a finishing move, it's for situations where you need to engage an attacker, then break contact to escape. Could be multiple attackers, you could need to tend to someone else, or simply high tail it to safety. For these reasons you want to put in one last shot to buy a second or two head start for your escape. The straight blast could disable an attacker but it's unlikely so you need to cap it with something else. A final palm strike/ear slap is a great choice.
Sometimes the simplest self defense technique you learn can become the most effective self defense technique you use. And if you are ever caught off guard, the first technique your mind will automatically thinks of is this technique. Silly as it may sound, the ear slap or palm strike can give you enough time to defend yourself or run away from a potentially life threatening situation.
In this self defense tip, Demi Barbito demonstrates how an ear slap can be used to set up the straight blast. A devastating combination that an attacker won't see coming. Done correctly this self defence technique will give you the option to continue your defensive assault, or run and flee the area towards safety.

Critical Muay Thai Kick Setup | Leaning Out Your Opponent | Self Defense Moves | FightFast
Muay Thai kicks are a devastating and brutally effective self defense move when done right, but they can also be one of the easiest strikes to defend against if you forget this one simple step. It's unlikely that you will encounter an experienced fighter on the street, but knowing this small bit of information that Mike Goldbach is about to show you will definitely keep you one step ahead of even the more skilled fighters you may encounter on the street. In this self defense video lesson, Mike Goldbach explains how easily a punch can disrupt a Muay Thai kick and how to use your hands in what he calls "Leaning out your opponent", to effectively connect your kicks and avoid being countered coming off the kick.

Carjackers and muggers often target people when their attention is on entering a vehicle, pushing buttons at an ATM, or locking and unlocking a building/door. Because of this, you need to have a strategy to mitigate your vulnerability in these situations. That's where situational awareness comes in.
In this video, Dale Comstock and Joe Teti demonstrate the safest and most secure way to approach and enter a room safely, avoiding a robbery, kidnapping or hostage situation. Threat or situational awareness is one of the simplest forms of self defense skills that you could posses in keeping you and your loved ones safe. Dale touches on how to scan the hallways for any potential threat, along with the proper way to open a door before entering and why you should never have your partner or loved ones enter the room first. Take a look and let us know what you think about this demonstration given to use by Dale and Joe.

How to Survive a Mass Shooting

With the rise of shooting in the United States, Derek Smith felt it was his duty to provide us with some knowledge on how to increase your survival in the event of an active shooter situation.
Stay aware of your surroundings: Be observant and alert to any signs of danger.
Have an escape plan: Identify exits and evacuation routes whenever you visit a public place or attend events.
Run, hide, or fight: In an active shooter situation, these are common strategies. If it is safe to do so, try to escape or evacuate the premises. If you can't escape, find a secure location to hide, preferably behind locked doors or barricades. As a last resort, fight back against the shooter using improvised weapons or by overwhelming them with numbers.
Silence your phone: During a shooting, it's important to remain quiet and not draw attention to yourself. Turn off the sound and vibration on your phone, and only use it if it is safe to do so.
Call emergency services: Once you are in a safe location, contact the authorities and provide them with accurate information about the situation.
Help others when it's safe: If it is possible to assist others without putting yourself in further danger, provide aid to those who are injured or in need of assistance.
Remember, these tips are general guidelines and may not cover every possible scenario. It's important to stay informed about the specific safety protocols and recommendations provided by local authorities or the organizations responsible for your safety.

Crazy Smoke Shop Shootout — Combat Tips — Self Defense
In this video combat veteran and former law enforcement officer Derek Smith reviews the harrowing scene of a smoke shop clerk/security guard who is attacked by 4 suspects at least two of whom are armed with firearms. From this video you'll learn some of the mistakes the clerk makes, and some of the things he does right. It's nearly impossible to handle multiple armed assailants in a scenario like this and the clerk is lucky he made it out alive. In the end he took action even if it wasn't perfect and he lived through the attack. Watching scenes like this can help prepare anyone who carries a firearm prepare for what an honest to goodness gunfight looks like. It ain't pretty and it's highly unpredictable. Even the non-firearm carrier can learn from this encounter. Remember violence is all around us. It's part of the world we live in. I really wish none of us had to worry about being gunned down at work or on the street minding our own business, but sticking you head in the sand is not your best option. We hope you learn something from this terrible attack.
