Guitarist/songwriter Bob Yeazel joined the Denver-based band Sugarloaf for its second album, Spaceship Earth, in 1971; he wrote or co-wrote many of the tunes, including “Tongue in Cheek” which peaked at #55 on the Billboard Hot 100). He had previously played on two albums as part of a Colorado band called the Beast. Yeazel was later the guitar player with the Freddi-Henchi Band and a main engine for the Erica Brown Band. From "Things Are Getting Better" Bob Yeazel's Every Man Hears Different Music. The ability to write something this great, is something I admire above all! I've been around long enough to know there is a good singer and picker on damn near every street corner. But it's the writer who crates the universe. Bob told me he wrote this in his early 20's, thus making it even a little more impressive. The simple fact is, this is 4 minutes of perfection. I truly, and will always believe, had this album been released in the early to mid 80's, it might have been as big as Born in the USA! Maybe I'm wrong.... I'd love to find out but my damn time machine just broke!

My favorite Bob Yeazel song! From the CD "Things Are Getting Better", comes "Sun". A song that so much, reminds me of my wife. While the entire CD is great, this song and "Every Man Hears Different Music" belong on the soundtrack of life! Bob was a great friend who honored me with the privilege of letting my label release this album. Sadly my friend passed this last June (2016). While I miss him as a friend, we still have the Music! Bob left CO and moved to FL to retire a few years ago, bought a modest home, hooked a pontoon boat to his fuckin' Lexus....I laugh every time I think of it!...Got himself a big ass beer cooler and kicked back. He never tired of noticing it was 10 degrees in Denver, and 82 here in sunny south FL. And was not above emailing friends and family in CO. to laugh at them about it, on the way to go boating. So while Bob was introducing me to a lifetime of songs he had written, being a typical southern boy, I introduced him to Shine. He took to it like a hillbilly takes to a second cousin... So we passed many a happy hour drinkin' and smokin', all in all....We had a hell of a time. R.I.P. My Brother, you are missed. Enjoy friends Brian Hardman Fatboy Records Sept. 2017
