So Long (original music)
TheDogPa w/Jack Flash and Jeff Sargent
A song I did in 2000 with my old vocalist Jack Flash. Bass by Jeff Sargent. Keyboards, acoustic, drums (midi/sequenced) and guitars were by me (Doc).
This was my first attempt at creating a drum track. I used my favorite TV show to tell the story, and some aerial shots of the UK, to make a video to go along with it. The clips were all different rates/sizes so it is what it is...just for fun.
Written, recorded edited and mastered, etc., blah blah...by Doc (TheDogPa) Vocals written/sung by Jack Flash.
I should add that I wrote a backing track....Jack helped me make it a song :O)

Dorian Jam
Dorian improvising. Just another camera test. This time with a mono room mic picking up backing track from computer speakers, room noise, my guitar amp down real low...and my dog...LOL! Made up on the spot, mistakes and slop included :O)

If you'd like to try your hand at it, buy the package from Bandcamp, please....I did, and it's under $12...and has 99 more tracks.

No Foolin' by Fission (original music - Written by Rob Epler)
This is our first recording done on a portastudio & mastered to cassette. In 1980 we decided to start doing originals so we got a singer/songwriter. He left, but allowed us to keep using his songs, of which this is one. A bit later, with a new singer, we recorded this. We called it "Punk Metal".
@Jack Flash ( / @jack-flash ) on vocals, Robert on drums, Gordon on bass and 'Doc' (me) on guitar. The drums and guitar were laid down live, bass and vocals added after we bounced it to stereo, leaving 2 tracks open. I later dumped the old cassette we mastered on to my computer.
If I remember correctly, I had no amp with me, so this is my Custom '79 Peter MAX Baranet guitar (that the entire world loved to copy) through a Peavey solid state bass amp and into the portastudio direct...with a lot of EQ!
I should also add that there was an intro...drum roll and screeching guitar. A roll like just before this solo, and guitar - ending like just before that roll - to start the song. We decided to cut it out for the 'single' version, making a rather short song. Somewhere I must have the old cassette with it, but I couldn't find it. We'd start shows with this...and a long wild intro with a long drum roll that would seriously tax our drummer...LOL!

Caden's Blues

I was feeling the blues. I started out slow and easy, just blindly improvising to something brand new, learning as I went. Sometimes that’s all we got...but my heart was in it. How I got through it all, I’ve no idea. I was having a good time but it got interrupted, though I kept going...
I doubled down, and then I looked up just in time to see it had already started fading away. It ended rather abruptly after that.
Life, like songs, can be that way, frequently filled with imperfections and unforeseen challenges, and mistakes we have to live with. Still, I’d rather die trying, than just trying not to die. The trick is to keep going, even when you got the blues.
Anyway, I was thinking about you buddy...this one’s for you.
