First step for self recognition is realizing we are in a vehicle called the physical body. A universe itself running on systems upon systems. If you dare to not follow natures rules or basic truths in regards to the body, you may end up unhealthy, in pain, or passing way before your time. To help you better understand the bodies aging process, I recommend talking to someone above the age of 50 about health. See both spectrums (healthy & unhealthy). Throughout hundreds of years, humans have asked themselves the same basic existential questions. Even today the majority are still in the dark unable to identify themselves.
