For the second week in a row, the court dates have been cancelled. Katja Woermer, his attorney, has been ill. This cannot be easy for Reiner who is completely prepared and has been in prison for over 4 months. The next scheduled date is now Feb 27. When he was 11 or 12, Rik heard of Dr Schweitzer and Dr Livingstone. He immediately knew: that's what he wanted to do with his life - to become a doctor so he could help the poorest of the poor. And that's what he has done - now for 33 years with his mission in Bolivia. He' also went to Haiti with the huge earthquake, going further inland where no other doctor went. He was also in Pakistan, very dangerous, where a medical colleague was murdered by the Taliban. His hope is to be able to continue until he's 100.
