Vintage Roll Top Desk Makeover | Elegant Upgrades | Free Flip
I picked this guy up from the marketplace for free. It did take me two trips and a couple Aleve to get it to my shop, but hey- free is awesome. Plus, it’s absolutely gorgeous. This was a super simple finish, but it made such a difference. As of right now, I have a woman who is just trying to find a truck to pick it up. Fingers crossed it goes through and I will get to add the $300 to the house fund!

DIY Roll Out Pantry | Copper Pipe Pulls & Plywood | Easy Pull Out Pantry | Elegant Upgrades
Whilst helping my parents with their kitchen remodel, we realized they needed to fill an extra space between their fridge and wall. Well, what better use of space than an additional pantry? I quickly took measurements and got to work.

Turning An Antique China Hutch Into A Coffee Bar & Wall Mounted Cabinet | Elegant Upgrades
I spent two weeks at my parent’s house helping them remodel their kitchen. This is one of the projects I was tasked with- Turning my step dad’s grandmother’s old china hutch into something functional and beautiful for their coffee bar. So while I can’t give you numbers on this piece, I hope it will give you some ideas on how to use something in a new way and with a new finish.

Sad Little Shelf To Statement Piece
This shelf came free with the blue shelf from the last video- luckily this one came out much more to my liking. I can’t give numbers on this one as I am away from home helping out my parents remodel, but I’ll update you once I get home and get it sold.
The leg inspiration from this piece is from DIY Wife- I definitely recommend checking out her channel.

A Little Bit Of A Blue Shelf & A Little Bit Of A Failure...| Elegant Upgrades | Free Flip
This was such a strange flip for me. I got this shelf for free (thank goodness) and I had such high hopes for it. I wanted to try a different esthetic from my usual and, while I’m glad I tried something new, I am incredibly unhappy with the style. If it doesn’t end up selling, be on the lookout for a revamp 😅.

Little Hutch Top Tiny Cabinet Upcycle | Free Marketplace Flip | Elegant Upgrades
Whenever I see these little hutch tops I always pick them up. Usually they are the top from and antique or vintage piece, this one was not. But I picked it up anyways- it was free. Well, turns out it was still worth it and sold in a day so it seems as long as you can make it cute, they will go quickly.

Two Nightstands From One Dresser | Upcycling French Provincial | Elegant Upgrades | Marketplace Flip
So I’ve had this dresser for months. MONTHS! I couldn’t figure out what to do with it. And then when I had this idea, I took another month or so because, well, because I was being timid. But I can honestly say, if I found another dresser situation like this- I would totally pick it up and do it again! It was much easier than expected and I felt very accomplished. Thanks for watching, and just so you know- I truly appreciate you.
As for those interested in the numbers-
I found this piece for free on marketplace. I paid under $10 for the top. I always have paint on hand and Chalk Mountain Paint has excellent coverage so I used less than 1/3 jar. So far I’ve sold one of these for $150 so I’m gonna call it a profit of about $140 and I still have another one to sell. Fun!

Skirt Ripped Chair Flipped #3 | Elegant Upgrades | Facebook Marketplace Flips
This was the easiest one so far! However, it did take the longest to sell- a whopping three days. Let me be clear, three days is great, but I think it took longer than the other two because it wasn’t as low a profile. These things are so cool! And that’s a bit more to head to the house fund- wish me luck!

Skirt Ripped, Chair Flipped | Free Flip | Elegant Upgrades
Another bonus video! These are so short I don’t feel like they count and there really isn’t a technique to share, just some fun knowledge on the flip. I just can’t believe these chairs! This is my second one and it sold in a day. I have a couple more to do that I just found as well so wish me luck! I’ll keep ya posted.

Alice in Wonderland Antique Leather Top Table Makeover | Elegant Upgrades
Alice is finished and she already has a new home. It’s a record- sold before it was complete. How cool is that?! I put a color wash on one of Sir John Tenniel’s original illustrations from Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and gave the legs a real blendy Wonderland look.
I used all @chalkmtnsupply products-
Paint color list (don’t hold your breath, there’s a lot!):
Mellow White, Light Yellow, Chalkboard, Deep Emerald, Sapphire, Indigo, Deep Plum, Barn Red, Woodland Harbor, and Blackboard
Sealers: Satin Poly for the top to apply the illustration and to protect (several layers), the bottom sealed in Hemp Wax. Then the whole piece was gone over in the Antique wax to give it an aged look- ya know, like and old book.

Time Lapse Of Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland Tabletop
Here I found a photo of Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland and enlarged it to fit my tabletop. I then decoupaged the print with satin poly. I then let it sit overnight before working on the colors. I made sure to water them down enough to let the lines show through and it had a watercolor feel to it. If I smudged a little somewhere I didn’t want it- it just wipes off since we let the poly dry overnight. I’ll let this dry over night as well and then do several coats of poly to seal and protect the table.
I used all
@chalkmtnsupply paint and the colors are listed in the video of you need a similar pallet.

Cloudscape Dresser With Anaglypta Wallpaper Side Accents | Elegant Upgrades
This was just a “step out of my comfort zone” type piece. I truly had no idea what I was doing, but I’m glad I did it. I was totally inspired by Brushed By Brandy’s piece- you should check her out if you haven’t already. But who are we kidding, of course you have.
Also, fun fact:

Plum Perfect Secretary Makeover | Elegant Upgrades
This was such a fun embellished piece to do. I started with some resin appliqués cast from Redesign with Prima moulds. And then let the Deep Plum paint take me away. Then, of course, I finished with guilding wax. And in the the midst of this piece, I was asked to become a brand ambassador for my favorite paint- Chalk Mountain! So obviously I said yes and then ran around the house screaming joyfully (poor husband). How cool to have my favorite brand even notice me?!
So I have a promo code for you should you want to try their stuff-
TARYN15%
(I’m sure you could guess it’s for 15% off)
