Entry Level Thermal Monocular Advice || HIK Micro Falcon FH25 User Impressions
It's a common question - what entry level thermal should I get. This is my personal opinion on device base specifications, be that HIK Micro, Pulsar, Infiray or Thermtec. Yes I have a HIK monocular in this video, but the reputable brands will have devices with similar specifications if you'd prefer a broader consideration. Ideally, get out to a store you can hands on and test a few out. If you can't do that, I have device recordings and my take on the "entry level" HIK Micro Falcon FH25 in this video.
Big thanks to TSA in Australia for sending me the Falcon to play with. Without support from companies who are proactive in the hunting industry, these video's are not possible with the speed tech is evolving.
I hope this can help a few people out on the thermal journey, or reinforce a few aspects I prefer on devices.

Shooter Feral Pigs with The Texan - Feral Hog Cull || 308 Win Rifle || Thermion 2 LRF XG50
This contract shoot we are out hunting invasive feral pigs. There's plenty of action packed footage in this video with the thermal gear. Things get a little wild and I'm running the bolt pretty hard on my custom 308Win rifle. If you're seeking a video with bulk shooting footage, no bullshit, this is your happy place !!!
Big thanks to my unnamed mate "The Texan" for the call out seeking assistance on this control program.
Critters on the deck and not killing native animals and damaging agriculture is the aim of the game. These uncontrolled animals are an environmental and agricultural menace in Australia and are classed as invasive pest species.
We are not shooting for human consumption, it is purely pest control of invasive species in Australia. These uncontrolled animals are an environmental and agricultural menace, often carrying bacterial and diseases like brucellosis. Pigs are left where they lay as carrion, nothing generally lasts more than a week in the Aussie bush before it's just a few scattered remains.

My 308Win rifle is a full custom, which I will review soon to share all the details properly. Action is a Defiance Machine Tenacity, Triggertech Special trigger, 18 inch Carbon Six Barrel, Wedgetail Industries Suppressor, all in an MDT HTN26 Carbon Fibre Chassis. I'm running Fiocchi ammunition with 150 grain Hornady SST projectiles and a sprinkling of subsonic rounds, which are reloads using 190 Sub-X projectiles. My thermal scope is a Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XG50 and for the scanner I'm a Pulsar Merger LRF XL50 which is 1024x756 resolution !!!

9 Feral Cats, Do They Have 9 Lives (Secret - No They DON'T) #hunting #shooting #pestcontrol #notpets
For those wondering, no these feral cats are not pets. If you're confused why in Australia we hunt these invasive killers please google "feral cats in Australia".
Here's a extract from an Australian government study and report if you feel like more information, or using Google is too hard.
"Cats continue to drive population decline in Australian native animal species. Predation by cats is a recognised threat to over 200 nationally threatened species, and 37 listed migratory species (of which nine are also listed as threatened) . Feral cats in Australia kill over 1.5 billion native mammals, birds, reptiles and frogs, and 1.1 billion invertebrates each year. Pet cats kill over 500 million native vertebrate animals each year. Although their overall toll is lower than that imposed by feral cats, because pet cats live at high density, their ‘local’ impacts are much higher than that of feral cats."
Source: Threat abatement plan for predation by feral cats 2023
All this shooting is with my custom 308Win rifle, which I will soon share all the details properly in a rundown video.
Action is a Defiance Machine Tenacity, Triggertech Special trigger, 18 inch Carbon Six Barrel, Wedgetail Industries Suppressor, all in an MDT HTN26 Carbon Fibre Chassis. I'm running Fiocchi factory ammunition with 150 grain Hornady SST projectiles and a subsonic rounds, which are reloads using 190 Sub-X projectiles. My thermal scope is a Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XG50 and for the scanner I'm a Pulsar Merger LRF XL50 which is 1024x756 resolution !!! Daylight scope, I'm using a Japanese made Zerotech Trace Advanced 4-24x50mm.

BEST Feral Cat Hunt of My Life! Day and Night with a Vertebrate Pest Controller - Pig & Fox Shooting
Never have I had a night where I've shot 9 feral cats, but I have now, and it's all on video as my BEST feral cat hunt. This shooting trip we are out hunting invasive species - feral pigs, feral cats and the odd fox. There's plenty of action packed footage in this video in both daylight and after the sun sets with the thermal gear. Things get a little wild and I'm running the bolt pretty hard on my custom 308Win rifle. If you're seeking a video with bulk shooting footage and no bullshit, this is your happy place !!!
Access into this area is with my mates Polaris XP1000 side by side buggy. This machine is purpose built for his contract shooting business and works amazingly well in the terrain type for pest control. Big thanks to him, my unnamed mate "Bucket" for the invite out seeking assistance on this control program.

EBIKE Pig Hunt || Feral Animal Shooting with my 308Win Rifle & Thermion 2 LRF XG50 Thermal Scope
This shooting trip I'm solo and hunting feral pigs and the odd fox. There's plenty of bulk action packed footage in this video, for a twist I'll show you how I'm utilising an Ebike from EORB Australia to move around with stealth and take care of business. All animals shot are introduced invasive species in my country.
I'm not shooting for human consumption on this trip, it is purely pest control of invasive species in Australia. These uncontrolled animals are an environmental and agricultural menace, often carrying bacterial and diseases like brucellosis. Pigs are left where they lay as carrion, nothing generally lasts more than a week in the Aussie bush before it's just a few scattered remains.
I am a vertebrate pest control - contract shooter in NSW. For those wondering about the suppressors, both my mate and I hold the necessary permits in NSW to do so. If seeking information regarding that, please check the FAR webpage for details. All shooting is performed on privately owned farms, with exclusive permission granted in writing for paid services.

Clearing the Oats || Feral Pig, Cat & Fox Shooting with my 308Win Rifle & Thermion 2 LRF XG50
This shooting trip I'm solo and hunting invasive feral pigs, foxes and feral cats. There's plenty of bulk action packed footage in this video in both daylight and after the sun sets with the thermal gear.
It was great to be out riding around on my Suzuki King Quad AXI 500 which definitely opens areas up, otherwise inaccessible to a regular 4x4. The weather conditions deteriorated throughout the evening which made time in the paddocks not so pleasant in the end.
I'm not shooting for human consumption on this trip, it is purely pest control of invasive species in Australia. These uncontrolled animals are an environmental and agricultural menace, often carrying bacterial and diseases like brucellosis.
