Pears formula recipes are scarce on the ground. The most complex formula I have attempted to date. I think I will shift down and go back to simpler recipes. It's expeensive and messy [fun though]. And yes, that is a Crock Pot I used to make the soap. Hot process cooks the soap slurry until the lye is converted into the fats and makes soap. Cold process goes into a mold, covered and cures as the lye integrates with the fats over a period of time. Why Pears? It's a soap I have used for years and love. The fact it's been around for a couple of hundred years.... that's good too. Bye from here. Ampco Oiler is a period accessory to enhance engine performance, fuel economy and longevity. I added it to my 1963 Plymouth Valiant just because it's so bizarre and given the ethanol diluted gasoline we have, I suggest it can't hurt. I was giving it a dose of Marvel Mystery Oil every tank anyway. Now it has a steady, direct supply of that ruby red and minty fresh juice courtesy of Ampco Lubes. 86 Olds Calais getting prepped for a second repaint after 20 years.

Side note to clarify : 10" loops are hard to find outside of the Harrisville ones. They are all cotton. Others available on Amazon have been polyester and don't produce as nice a result, IMHO. Plus: polyester and heat don't play well together. Cotton for the win.

This video features a Montgomery Ward under-dash "Riverside" AC unit installed in a 1963 Plymouth Valiant. Date of installation is unknown but it must have been some time in the '70s as I have had the car since 1982. Also featured ; an almost equally old stereo cassette player installed by my BFF, Bill some time in the mid-'80s. I'd like to keep the AC because it's so old now, it's a 'period" piece as well, but it can't keep the R132 a in it. At least the fan blows so the heat is tolerable during summer in the desert when it's stopped at a light. Happy Motoring, Dvaeo

Consumer warning: watch the number of oz and the prices. They're getting sneakier with the packaging every day. A half oz. here, a 1/4 oz there. Price goes up a little. No one ever complains or notices.
