Coronavirus quarantine, lockdowns, and social distancing has become the normal realities of the human race. You are now paranoid, and living in fear of infection. Washing hands numerous times, religiously wearing a face mask and distancing your self, and scared to touch, kiss and cuddle people you love and care. You spend more time at home, thinking, worrying, tossing and turning in bed every night. Waking up exhausted, tired, hoping for a miracle to miraculously appear, and make the past year look like a horrible dream. Yesterday, I felt very sad to watch my beautiful teenage daughter, and her friends dressed like princesses, attend school graduation day, wearing a face mask. I spent my entire life, working in hospitals, diagnosing, managing and helping adults and children with serious contagious infections with no fear of getting infected. For more than 40 years, I have administered flu or Hepatitis B vaccinations but never took them to protect myself, I have warned members of my profession about the pandemic that could kill millions by 2050. I observing how these bugs spread in hospitals, threatening our profession and our very existence. I have endowed pain, destroyed my family life and bankrupted myself and suffered for creating a system to help identify infected individual at home, prevent them spread infections at home, to friends and the community. I blame the pharmaceutical companies, device manufacturers and people in power living under an illusion of theoretical ideals, without understanding the practical realities of managing pandemics for ignoring my concern, and implementing changes to protect you and protect us. Scientists, were so pre-occupied with whether, or not they could. They do not stop, to think if they should. Its ironic, a fantasy movie Jurassic Park, aptly, describes the medical crisis we face today, Here I am, trying to rectify the error created by evil people sharing news, messages on social media that scared you. Forcing tests, implementing quarantine and lockdown, that is ripping apart families, communities, bankrupting businesses and nations. By forcing vaccinations, tests and isolating people, the doctors, and people in power are not only violating human right, but also making a serious mistake of irritating the virus and bacteria colonised in and on our body.
