Hard to believe we are already half way through 2024. In this conversation I reflect on my New Years words for 2024. My words areInheritanceandSound Mind.Isaiah 61:7 is the inspiration for Inheritance. This scripture talks about instead of shame and disgrace we can receive an inheritance of double portion in your land and everlasting joy. Now that is a great word to have my mind and heart focus on. Trusting and Receiving can be a challenge.A Sound Mind is an amazing gift. In2 Timothy 1:7, Paul says “God did not give us a spirit of fear but of power and love and a sound mind.” Starting the day with this reminder has been incredibly encouraging. I hope you find this conversation, encouraging as well. Leaning into scripture can be the difference between a beautiful day or a defeated one. We get to choose.

While talking with Penny Armbruster, I am not sure if I am more impressed with the Luke Clinic and the significant impact it has made on the women and families it serves OR the conviction, and heart centered wisdom and joy of Penny, their executive director. I think it is both. The Luke Clinic is a free life-affirming 501 C3 nonprofit charity dedicated to taking care of mothers, providing prenatal care and infant care. Impactful follow up from previous episode: Frankly Speaking to our children about their sexuality. Intriguing conversation with special SVU detective explaining why it is important to talk with our kids about their bodies. She gives specific advice on who can be a potential perpetrator and advice on how to keep our kids safe. Please share this episode with any parent that you know is open to this important discussion.

Several years ago, sitting in a coffee shop journaling, I found myself receiving a download before I even knew what to download was. I was overcome by this powerful rant about how important it is to teach our kids about sex. How important it is for them to know their identity as sexual beings. How we need to speak frankly to them about the truth of how God created them. They need to know that they are powerful creators. They need to know this now more than ever. Our children are sexual beings and they are loved and created by God. This is part of our superpower as children of God. It’s time we acknowledge it, embrace it, love it and release the shame and doubt and fear around teaching our children about their sexuality. It’s time to frankly speak with love and joy and celebration with our children.

Do you wonder what your true calling is? Me too. I believe part of mine has to do with removing self condemnation. I share this story and how I feel encouraged by the Holy Spirit to dig deeper into knowing: 1) We are unconditional loved by God 2) We have special gifts and talents 3) We are guided and protected by a Divine God If we all knew deep in hearts the truth of these messages imagine the love and joy in our lives.

Have you ever noticed that everyone has an opinion? As I explore the best way for me to eat, sleep, spend time with my family, exercise, etc, there are so many voices telling me the right way to do it. Deciding not to be a submissive listener but being more observing of feedback and not absorbing what I hear. I’ve been stepping more into my discernment with God. Do you have a sentence that you recognize you’ve been saying to yourself for quite some time? I identified one of mine. It is “I am so mad at myself.” Now I am exploring how does saying this sentence serve me? How does this sentence serve the Lord? Join me as I dive in discussing this generational thought and unpacking its origin to see it and learn from it and rest in God’s love, healing and peace.

At the end of each of my podcasts I close with: When the Blocks are Cleared, the Clarity Comes, Trust Deepens, Ease Flows and Truth is Evident. During this show I go into detail explaining each step and how they have been part of the flow of my spiritual journey. For me, I have noticed a pattern for a deeper relationship with God, myself and others. It is seeing and clearing mindset, emotional blocks which then leads to more clarity in my life,deeper ease and flow with God and then finding truth in Him.

Resting is a physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental practice. So many times, God talks to us about letting go, trusting Him and that He has us. I explore this concept at a very deep heart felt level. Resting has always been a challenge coming from an achiever mindset. Psalm 5:3 says “ in the morning, Lord, you hear my voice, in the morning I lay my request before you and wait expectantly”. This is truly where I am learning to : Resist Every Satanic Thought ….. into His hands. I am safe and He has me.

Being a Mom of 5 kids and the Campus Life Middle School Director keeps Erica Gardner busy and blessed. We discuss what is on the hearts of middle schoolers and the challenges they face. Campus Life has been a safe haven for these kids to have a compassionate listening ear and experience acceptance and kindness. What is a temple? It is a building of worship and a consecrated piece of ground for worshiping God. While reflecting on scripture: 1 Corinthian 6:19 "your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit" I became convinced that I need to treat myself with more lovingkindness. I am recognizing that my body can provide some strong guidance since the Holy Spirit is ever present and I need to be more self aware.

Sharing some vulnerable soul searching on this podcast. Asking myself if I am really welcoming God into my deepest desires?
