These pieces of leftover pottery were given to me by a dear friend. And now they are a favourite memory of our friendship.

I didn't look too hard, really, but I had to overcome many obstacles in this, my most challenging upcycling project ever! (so far)

Turning trash into Treasure ... I really enjoy playing with designs and shapes ... and then eventually with colour. This is my third but not last upcycling art project made with cutlery. We are utensils in the hands of God, set to explode into His beautiful formations!

I'd been collecting old, broken jewelry for many many years, and surprisingly ended up with soooo many shell necklaces. First thought I could use them "as is" still on their strings, but no, in order for them to properly express themselves, I had to remove them all from their bondage. Hmm... sounds like what God has to do for us these days; Jesus is untangling and removing us from our bondages, yay!

This one method I use to upcycle my hoards of jewelry ... I've been saving up old jewelry for many years and this piece called "Paisley Galaxy" is an example of how I make my art. See my website at dorothealeblanc.ca
