KAI SIGEL | TENDON PAIN: 3-heavy, slow lifts. 4-pump shoulder. 5-ulnar glides
http://www.DoctorsToTrust.com
presents episode 1035 | Kai Sigel
Physiotutors podcast
Protocol
3-Early rehabilitation
-slow & heavy resistance training
-for wrist flexors: dumbbell curls
-weight that can be curled with
tolerable pain 5 to 15 reps
-SLOW [3+ secs UP; 3+ secs DN]
-3+ sets every other day
"Personally, I prefer 3+ sets DAILY"
[low carb, non-inflamed: daily should work]
Protocol
Increase sets, reps, weight over time
Also target pronator teres
[helps forearm pronate]
-head-heavy object:
-hammer, broom, racquet
-3+ sets 5 to 15 reps
[3+ sec UP & 3+ sec DN]
Increase sets, reps, weight over time
Protocol
4-Target shoulder
-2 studies: shoulder external rotation,
extension & abduction peak
torques decreased with golfer's
& tennis elbow
-If shoulders not able to absorb load
during overhead & racquet sports
STRESS PASSED ON TO JOINT!
so: include shoulder external rotation
--cable pulls; lat raises; pull-overs
Protocol
5-Ulnar glides: ulnar neuritis in
up to 50% of golfer's elbow
-perform ulnar nerve sliders &
tensioners
-start with sliders
-abduct shoulder,
extend wrist & finger;
pronate forearm;
flex elbow
bring hand, neck, head together
Protocol
5-Ulnar glides: ulnar neuritis in
up to 50% of golfer's elbow
-perform ulnar nerve sliders &
tensioners
ulnar nerve tensioner:
-same as slider, but head moves
away from hand
-10 to 20, several times a day; daily

KAI SIGEL | TENDON PAIN: 1-cut fast/high loads 2-KT; accu; massage OK short term
http://www.DoctorsToTrust.com
presents episode 1034 | Kai Sigel
Physiotutors podcast
Tendons don't get better by rest...
-perhaps with reactive tendinopathy
rest may help
[reactive tendinopathy:
non-inflammatory, short-term
response to injury or increased
activity]
Most overhead movement athletes
say: pain stopped, but started again
Tendon inflammation IS NOT CLASSIC TYPE
seen in other injuries...
Not able to change the pathological
part of the tendon
Therefore:
-treatment on the inflammation itself
or changing the pathological part of
the tendon won't work
Protocol:
1-decrease high & fast load
activities
[these make tendon store & release
energy QUICKLY--main drivers
behind tendon overload]
-why golfer's elbow often seen in
athletes throwing, hitting, serving
a ball
Not necessary to stop all high & fast load activities...
SIMPLY reduce
-frequency; duration; reps/intensity
so that pain subsides within 24
hours
"For me: I reduced playing days from
4 to 2 or 3; and not back-to-back.
And avoided serving.
-broke downward spiral
-pain became stable
Protocol
2-Adjunctive options
-accupuncture, KT tape, massage
-may help relieve pain short term
-won't increase tendon capacity
to bear load for long term
-ibuprophen good short term
-helps prevent swelling
-don't use for more than 1-2 weeks

MARK RIPPETOE | TENDON PAIN will NOT heal with rest: MUST CORRECTLY WORK IT OUT
http://www.DoctorsToTrust.com
presents episode 1033 | Mark Rippetoe
Starting Strength podcast
Golfer's elbow is medial epicondylitis
Tennis elbow is lateral...
-inflammation of tendon insertions of
the forearm flexors
-produced by incorrect grip on squat
[or athletic motion straining these
tendons]
Athlete switched to safety bar squats;
-pain went away in a few weeks
-a single, moderate squat session & the
pain came back
-the tendonitis did not go away
Tendinopathy does not go away with
rest!
-going to doctor: "my knee tendon hurts"
-won't ask if you are squatting correctly
-just tell you to rest
-so, you rest...
-after a few years, start again
-Pain is back!
tendinopathies do not heal with rest
-tendon has changed for the worse
Must fix the mechanical problem...
-that caused the inflammation
-train through it, make it heal
-train it correctly under a load
-so it can regain normal morphology
For golfer's & tennis elbow:
Protocol:
20 sets slow chin-ups: 2 to 3 reps
-will hurt like Hell at first
4 to 5 workouts, then it goes away
-causes temp increase in inflammation
-makes tendon heal itself

JOHN CAMPBELL | Europe: NO VACCINES for under 12 Yrs. “Parents will not stand for it here”
http://www.DoctorsToTrust.com
presents episode 1032 | Dr John Campbell
John Campbell podcast
Senator PauL: Your 16 year-old has had COVID, gets better,
is OVER COVID.
You vaccinate him, he gets myocarditis,
will you give 2 more shots?
CDC says, if 16 year-old gets COVID,
recovers, gets vaccinated, gets
myocarditis, hospitalized with
elevated heart enzymes, gets very
sick.
"As soon as he gets better, CDC
says: vaccinate again!"
Sweden: no vaccine for under 12 unless high risk
-Finland; Norway; England: same
-most of Europe: same
Israel has a study of thousands!
"All this research showing increased
risk of myocarditis after taking
your vaccine...yet you say, you
haven't heard about it"
Even more risk after vaccination
than if getting infected
CDC already has it on their plans:
vaccinate all the kids while in school
But, parents WILL NOT ALLOW IT
"They have seen that it is not
deadly in children.
You will make less money.
I don't like people in government
getting money from you and are
now conflicted in their interest"

John Campbell podcast
Dr Campbell: Moderna paid NIH $400m recently...
-Sen Rand Paul asks the
CEO about it...
Q: does this create a
conflict of interest?
CEO: We paid it for a patent
we received a few years ago...
It is for the government to
decide.
Higher incidence of myocarditis among males 16 - 24
after taking the vaccine?
CEO: no, the data from CDC
shows there is less for those
vaccinated than for those
who get the infection.
Rand Paul: that is not true.
Here are 6 peer-reviewed
papers that say the opposite
of you.
Also, your president said
the incidence is higher among those vaccinated.
PauL: scientifically sound to mandate 3 shots for boys?
CEO: up to government...
Paul: you have been
advocating for boosters!
MYOCARDITIS IS MOST COMMON
AFTER SECOND DOSE
"Your president said, yes, let's discuss
whether to have 1, 2, or 3 shots"
-90% of myocarditis comes after

http://www.DoctorsToTrust.com
presents episode 1030 | Dr Ben Bikman
Dr Steven Lin podcast
Some say saturated fat is the cause of insulin resistance...
-ONLY happens when incubate muscle
cells with high saturated fat
-Not when YOU EAT SAT FAT
STUDIES
-on low carb, eat 4x sat fat, still
very insulin sensitive
-over past 40 years...
-sat fat consumption DROPPING
-diabetes skyrocketing
An ounce of truth: sat fat on cells directly causes
insulin resistance
-when EAT FAT, it is desaturated &
extended
When you infuse fat of any type
-poly or mono unsaturated, saturated]
into blood stream, this forces it to
metabolize it immediately...
so: insulin resistance

BEN BIKMAN g’ BYU LAB: ALZHEIMER’S From insulin resistance:BRAIN has FUEL GAP
http://www.DoctorsToTrust.com
presents episode 1029 | Dr Ben Bikman
Dr Steven Lin podcast
BYU Lab published paper earlier this year...
-hippocampus involved in cognition
-it relies on 2 fuels: glucose & ketones
-research on human hippocampus cells
-Alzheimer's cells had reduction in
glucose-metabolism genes
THEY WERE ALL DOWN
-ketone genes were totally normal
in both Alzheimer's and normal
Other research: early dementia brains
take in less glucose, BUT STILL USES KETONES
We are looking at degree hippocampus
becomes insulin resistant...
-hippocampus NEEDS GLUCOSE by
insulin-dependent pathway
-When insulin resistant, CANNOT GET
THAT GLUCOSE FOR FUEL
"Brain is energy HOG. But, when
insulin resistant, cannot access the
glucose it is dependent on.
BRAIN HAS ENERGY GAP"
-while body swimming in glucose, insulin not working!"
AND: eating carbs so much, NEVER
HAVE KETONES--which could replace
glucose gap!
"Alzheimer's to some degree is due to
insulin resistant hippocampus"
-IMPROVING INSULIN RESISTANCE
can make up the energy gap.

BEN BIKMAN f’ | CHRONIC STRESS at WAR with insulin! CORTISOL drives insulin resistance
http://www.DoctorsToTrust.com
presents episode 1028 | Dr Ben Bikman
Dr Steven Lin podcast
3 main drivers of insulin resistance...
chronic
-elevated insulin
-inflammation
-stress [cortisol & epinephrine]
shown in research in
-isolated cells; rodents; humans
CORTISOL & EPINEPHRINE directly
cause insulin resistance
both want to push glucose UP
Cortisol will strip protein from muscles & bones
in order to turn it into glucose
in liver
-at odds with insulin
[driving glucose down]
WAR between stress hormones & insulin
In clinic: if one given cortisol-like steroid
to control inflammation: will become
very insulin resistant very quickly
Question: acute stress? affect on insulin resistance...
-rapidly onset and rapidly gone
Sleep deprivation causes stress
-brings on insulin resistance, but
-one good night sleep relieves it

http://www.DoctorsToTrust.com
presents episode 1027 | Dr Ben Bikman
Dr Steven Lin podcast
High insulin is a way for the body to
assess the environment...
-how fit this this person?
-if your metabolic house is out of order
then, no pregnancy
MOST COMMON:
-infertility? PCOS & ED
-driver? insulin resistance
"Body saying: We Are Not OK"
-as insulin resistance IMPROVES
-fertility returns
Insulin resistance in pregnancy is NORMAL...
but, if taken too far: problematic!
-pregnant? mom or dad had T2D?
-must be very careful
-some insulin resistance during
pregnancy is normal, but if allows
insulin resistance to get very bad...
-will get resistant to own insulin
-glucose will climb, leading to
gestational diabetes
Gestational diabetes consequences:
-will very likely develop T2D later
-and BABY much more likely also
Due to?
-perhaps because baby is developing
in environment of high glucose & insulin
Therefore becomes hard-wired to
seek high glucose & insulin in life
-eating to develop type 2 diabetes

BEN BIKMAN d’ | Gonads convert testosterone into estrogens: insulin STOPS THIS
http://www.DoctorsToTrust.com
presents episode 1026 | Dr Ben Bikman
Dr Steven Lin podcast
Australia & US, most common form of infertility
in women is PCOS...
-ovaries accumulate cysts
-formerly eggs that are there due to
failure to ovulate
Ovulation requires ENORMOUS SPIKE
IN ESTROGENS
Estrogen pushes ovary so follicle
will bud off to become egg
-all others will degrade
Insulin inhibits ovaries to make estrogens
All estrogens, in men & women, were once
testosterone
-all gonads convert some testosterone
into estrogens
-uses enzyme: aromatase
-as insulin grows more & more,
pushes aromatase down more & more
SO:
1-woman fails to ovulate
[develops polycystic ovaries]
2-has abundance of testosterone
[body hair, baldness, acne...]
Effect in men?
-excess insulin stops blood vessels
making nitric oxide, so
-blood vessels won't dilate
-ED is consequence

Dr Steven Lin podcast
LDL saves blood vessels from oral bacteria: LPS
Mined plaques from coronary arteries...
-have dozens of infectious pathogens
-including ORAL BACTERIA
-people with frequent gum infections
SIGNIFICANTLY more likely to have
heart problems
Development of an atherosclerotic
plaque could be directly from mouth!
Insulin resistance and heart disease...
-constricts blood vessels
-causes kidneys to retain sodium
-water retention: higher blood pressure
-activate sympathetic nervous system
-constrict vaso system:
-makes heart beat faster, harder
ALL CONTRIBUTE TO HYPERTENSION
-dyslipidemia: lowers HDL; increases TG
LPS [lipopolysaccharide] from gum
disease or leaky gut...
-LDL binds to LPS; neutralizes it
-carries it to liver for excretion
LDL is NOT THE VILLAIN
it is trying to correct the problem
by scavenging LPS from plaques in
blood vessels

BEN BIKMAN :: | GUM DISEASE can trigger inflammation throughout body!
http://www.DoctorsToTrust.com
presents episode 1024 | Dr Ben Bikman
Dr Steven Lin podcast
GUM DISEASE can
trigger inflammation
throughout body!
Normally, insulin comes into liver...
-store glucose as GLYCOGEN
-excess glucose into FAT--LIPOGENESIS
-stored in liver or
-emitted into blood as VLDL or LDL
When liver insulin resistant:
-still LIPOGENESIS
-RELEASES GLUCOSE into blood
"So, high blood sugar already;
-liver sends glucose back into blood;
-raises insulin MORE!"
Oral gum inflammation from gum disease...
-sends genuine inflammatory load
throughout body
-LIPOPOLYSACCHARIDE. pro-inflammatory
molecule, from common gum infection:
P-gingivalis:
"Very Pro-Inflammatory throughout body"
-starts cellular process creating
insulin resistance
Generally, insulin resistance begins in fat;
but, also in MOUTH!

HVMN podcast
Your dentist has more frequent interactions
with you than your own physician...
so, dentist can detect problems
very early
Type 2 diabetes is overwhelming many
due to their doctor looking at it as
a glucose problem
Then, years later, realizes it is an insulin
problem!
High glucose? just push insulin higher!
"This approach kills patients faster"
3x higher heart risk; 2x cancer & Alzheimer's risk
INSULIN affects every cell in body...
at some cells, it affects uptake of
glucose:
-muscle; hippocampus; fat
-most cells take in glucose WITHOUT
insulin prompting it
INSULIN tells every cell in body:
Store Energy!
-insulin resistance:
1-insulin is impotent at various cells
2-insulin levels chronically elevated
BOTH OF THESE HAPPEN TOGETHER EVERY TIME

PAUL MASON g | ATHEROSCLEROTIC PLAQUE can be reversed! Get metabolically healthy
http://www.DoctorsToTrust.com
presents episode 1022 | Dr Paul Mason
HVMN podcast
If LDL is damaged
Vasa vasorum: small blood vessels that supply large blood vessels
Damaged LDL can lodge in walls of the small vessels as fatty deposits
If lds is not oxidized…
This fatty deposit, plant, does not occur
High triglycerides and low HDL are markers of oxidative stress
Damaged LDL is what causes fatty deposition
If you have high triglycerides and low HDL
You are much more likely to have damaged LDL
Fatty deposits in the blood vessel walls are not necessarily there forever
Plaque regression is possible
In a study, those with plaque progression had LDL levels
50% lower than those with plaque regression
Observational, documented research:
Atherosclerotic plaque can be reversed!
People with highest LDL are the ones who get this reversal
LDL can be bad, but only if oxidized
If you are metabolically, healthy,
With LDL, not oxidized, not damaged:
You will be OK

PAUL MASON f | LDL critical for LIFE! When damaged by oxidative stress becomes DEADLY
http://www.DoctorsToTrust.com
presents episode 1021 | Dr Paul Mason
HVMN podcast
if we had no LDL in our body, we would simply die
If lds becomes damaged, however, we have a problem
Liver excretes, very low density lipoprotein…
This carries inside: triglycerides and cholesterol a molecule
Lipoprotein is so much more complex than cholesterol
Deliver excretes, very low density lipoprotein…
This delivers cholesterol to the tisha's that need it
And triglycerides were needed
As it delivers, it shrinks and becomes: intermediate density lipoprotein
It continues to deliver, becomes:
Low density lipoprotein, LDL
LDL then is taken back up by the liver…
In the cycle continues
If LDL is damaged…
APOB 100 protein is the security card
If it is damaged, liver will not receive it…
So, starts to accumulate in blood
APO be 100 protein is the security card
Oxidative stress is one thing that can damage a POB 100

PAUL MASON e | VEGAN META STUDY: HDL down; Triglycerides up
http://www.DoctorsToTrust.com
presents episode 1020 | Dr Paul Mason
HVMN podcast
February 2021, Cochran, study :
vegan diet and cardiovascular issues…
Not one randomized, control trial looked at clinical outcomes
Such as: shortness of breath, impaired cognition, heart attacks
Only looked at surrogate markers like blood markers
Result of vegan diets:
HDL decreased and triglycerides increased
The authors acknowledge these changes in direction,
which means vegan diet are not good for our health
LDL also went down, so,
if you still believe the debunked notion
that LDL is bad, then you may see it,
offsets the HDL and triglycerides
Lowering of LDL, however,
is almost certainly associated with
increased cardiovascular risk.
Meta-studies prove this.
BATHUM, 2013 study :
118,000 subjects all over the age of 50
Results: those with highest LDL
had 50% reduced chance of dying
Study excluded those with heart problems,
cholesterol problems on statins,
cardiovascular disease, diabetes
this was healthy, younger population…
Lowest LDL increased all cause mortality by double

PAUL MASON b | CORRUPT SCIENCE! Statins RAISE diabetes RISK… not reported!
http://www.DoctorsToTrust.com
presents episode 1017 | Dr Paul Mason
HVMN podcast
we have solid science,
and it is literally buried
In 2020, a study of cholesterol and statins
in white rabbits:
author suggested their results
did apply in humans
another study, 2008:
showed statin use—
increased the incidence of diabetes and blood glucose.
Also three studies shows statins
worsened sugar control.
These results were statistically significant:
meaning: not by chance,
yet the authors concluded:
“could be due to chance”
authors could not say:
maybe statins are bad for diabetes.

just masked by the drug
NOW: person has more fat cells!!
All the fat mass comes back and more
-more capacity to store fat

BEN BIKMAN 4 | CALORIES on metabolism: high carb: slows low carb: speeds net: 300 calories/day
http://www.DoctorsToTrust.com
presents episode 1011 | Dr Ben Bikman
TheKetoNutritionist podcast
Sub-clinical inflammation...
-starts in fat cells
2 ways to get fat
1-hyperplasia: cells multiply, stay small
[women, blacks, caucasians mostly]
2-hypertrophy: cells get larger in size
[most people, men...]
"fat cell can grow 20x in size;
pushed further from capillaries;
harder to get oxygen;
releases pro-inflammatory proteins
increases blood flow
So, suffocating fat cells are belching
out pro-inflammatory cytokines
[C-Reactive Protein is one]
-trying to increase blood flow
THIS INCREASES INFLAMMATION
THROUGHOUT BODY
When get to muscle cell:
-directly cause insulin resistance [IR]
INFLAMMATION is 1 direct cause of IR
Fat tissue is an aggressively active
endocrine organ...
-secreting many protein & hormones
into blood all the time
David Ludwig, Harvard, papers:
-give people 2 isocaloric meals
-exact same calories
-monitor their calorie expenditure
high carb: SLOWED METABOLIC RATE
low carb: HIGHER METABOLIC RATE
Difference? 300 calories a day
