Homemade Lemon Pepper 🍋
Homemade Lemon Pepper Seasoning! 🍋 If you take a look at the seasoning in the store you'll see some questionable things modified corn starch, natural flavoring, and not mention that pepper is an automatic! That means you need to smell fresh cracked pepper for it to taste it's best 🧂 So with all of that going against store bought how do we make it better?
🍋The Ingredient List🍋
Lemon zest, dried
Garlic
Onion
Salt
Sugar
1. Zest lemon and either spread out on a tray to air-dry, or put in over at lowest setting checking frequently.
2. Add in equal amounts of garlic and onion. Both of them combined will be about have of the lemon zest you have
3. Add in equal amounts of salt and sugar. Both of them combined will be about half the amount of garlic and onion that you have.
4. I prefer to have fresh cracked pepper but if you prefer you can add in the same about of pepper as lemon zest.
5. Shake well and enjoy.
You can adjust this to you taste, I prefer a lot more pepper then my husband. 🌶️ But this gives you a base to work off of. Are there any other seasonings that you that you want to try to make let me know in the comments! 👋

Homemade Mini Vanilla Cake 🎂
Perfect for two, Mini Cake! 🎂 Not only are you using less ingredients but you know that every bite will be eaten! Sometimes you just need some cake and this is the way to do it. 🍰 I normally get about 6 serving out of this. So it's perfect for me and my husband. 🧁 Who will you share this with?
🎂The Ingredient List🎂
🍰The Vanilla Cake🍰
🎂 Two Large Eggs
🎂 4 TSP Vanilla Extract
🎂 1 Cup Sugar
🎂 6 TSP Oil
🎂 .67 Cup Milk
🎂 1.5 Cup Flour
🎂 1.5 TSP Baking Powder
🎂 .25 TSP Baking Soda
🎂 .5 TSP Salt
🎂 1 TBSP Apple Cider Vinegar (optional but makes it so much better!)
🧁Vanilla Frosting🧁
*See note
🧁 Vanilla Extract
🧁 Butter
🧁 Powdered Sugar
🧁 Dash of milk
1. Preheat the oven to 350°
2. Grease Pan
3. Mix and whisk dry ingredients (sugar, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt)
4. In a separate bowl mix and whisk wet ingredients (vanilla extract, oil, milk, apple cider vinegar, eggs)
5. Combine wet and dry and mix thoroughly
6. Add mixture to greased pan
7. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until poked with a toothpick is clean
8. Let the cake cool before putting frosting otherwise the frosting will melt
9. Start your frosting with softened butter and beat with mixers
10. Add in vanilla extract and a dash of milk
11. Beat to combine
12. Slowly add in your powdered sugar and beat to combine
*Frosting is all about your taste. You may like it thicker (use more powdered sugar) or thinner (less powdered sugar) if it becomes too thick use a dash of milk to thin. Tasting is your best friend if it still tastes like butter you need more powdered sugar and vanilla. Keep working it and you will find what works best. You do not need a lot of liquid.
13. Frost cooled cake and enjoy!
This is a favorite treat at home and I'm sure it will be yours as well! 🎂 No preservatives or artificial flavors! Making cake is simpler than you think!🧁 Give it a shot you might surprise yourself! Also try making your own vanilla (check out my page!) as it makes this 💯 better!

Child like wonder 🫧
Our everyday life teaches us that we need to forget our wonders. 🫧 That life is serious. It needs to be taken as such for that job, that promotion, that next life event. This wears down the soul. 🌌 We don't need to take life so seriously! At the end of the day we are just here to experience the ups and downs. Not to know everything. This is your life to live. 🌈 This is your life to keep your child like wonder. Never stop exploring it.

Homemade Butter 🧈
Homemade Butter 🧈 Super easy to make and you don't have any preservatives in it! Once you start making your own butter there's no going back. It's also super handy to have the main ingredient in butter, heavy cream on hand. Heavy cream is used in a variety of recipes 🥛 As well as getting butter you also get buttermilk as part of the process! I got my big thing of heavy cream at Costco!🏢
🧈The Ingredient List🧈
🧈 Heavy Cream
🧈 Something to blend with, food processor, jar to shake
1. Add heavy cream to food processor
2. Be patient even in a good processor this still takes time.
3. Remove butter clumps and kneed together to remove buttermilk
4. Run under cool water to remove remaining buttermilk to help butter not get sour
5. Add salt if wanted
6. Add to your container and use as needed
Butter is one of the simplest changes you can made to be more self sufficient at home 🧈
I also love that I now always have buttermilk and heavy cream on hand! It's truly is a three in one! 🥛 I hope you give this a shot at home and taste the difference!

We Come From The Earth 🌼
This day and age we forget that the earth is where we come from 🌼 It's where we'll return 🪴 It's where we thrive🕯️ We go though our own struggles here, to work where we want to be, sometimes you have to go through the trenches and do what you don't want to get there. That's what the importance of having a partner is 🫂 Someone to keep you grounded and remind you that life can be as simple as the flowers 🌻

Being self sufficient 💪
This in no way may be perfect or even right but so far it's been holding up 🏠 Some of the corner shingles on our house came off so instead of paying someone to do it we decided to fix it ourselves! And hey we didn't do a half bad job 💪 Learning how to do these skills as well are part of being self sufficient! I'm ready to get my hands dirty doing it as well!👷

Homemade Chocolate Hazelnut Butter 🌰
This is absolutely delicious 😋 But really when was the last time you read the ingredients on this at the store! The first two ingredients on it are sugar and palm oil, so that means there is more of those then the nuts 🤯 For something to be a "nut butter" you would expect that to be first right? Luckily it's not hard to make at home and you can use whatever nuts you desire! 🥜
🌰The Ingredient List🌰
🌰 2 Cups of Hazel Nuts
🌰 3 TBSP Sugar
🌰 1 TBSP Coconut oil
🌰 4 TPS Unsweetened CoCo Power
1. Add nuts to a tray and bake for about 10 minutes or until the skin starts to blister
2. Let sit for about 5 minutes to cool
3. Put nuts onto a towel then wrap them up and give a light rub till skin comes off
4. Add nuts to food processor and blend (this will take a bit till they turn into a paste trust the process)
5. Add in your sugar, coconut oil, and unsweetened coco powder
6. Blend
7. Once you have a consistency you like, remove from food processor and add to your storage container.
8. If oils separate when not in use just give it a good stirring to recombine
This is delicious on some toast in the morning, or on a pastry to end your day 🍩 You and your loved ones will always be asking for more and you know exactly what your putting into your body 👅 I hope you all enjoy and stay tuned for some pastries made with this as well! 🥐

POV Your feet are finally free 👣
In my day to day life I am on my feet a lot! 👣 I use to wear flats, wedgies, and yes even heels to work. It was normal, everyone had on something similar and everyone always had the same problem. All of us sought comfort in getting off of our feet. 🤕 Then I started to think well why are we in to much pain if the foot is one of the best designs in the body? 🦶 Looking into it I was amazed the answer was so simple just so ignored! The answer was in our shoe's! 👠 Our fashionable shoes are not designed with the natural foot shape in mind. Cramming my toes together was causing so much pain! But I found a brand that makes shoes that don't do that. In June of 2023 I started my barefoot journey and now it's all I wear. No more pain and I'm on my feet for even longer 🥳 That's why I support this amazing company and you should as well!

Homemade cleaning paste! 🧽
Homemade cleaning paste! 🧽 Not only is this cheap to make, it has only ingredients you see! Beware of the chemicals in everything at the store. ☣️ It's crazy that there is stuff legal here but not everywhere else in the world! 🌍
🧽The ingredient list🧽
🧽 One Box Baking Powder
🧽 Big Squeeze of Castile Soap
🧽 One Lemon's Juice
🧽 White Vinegar, slowly added to your desired texture.
1. Combine all ingredients, being sure to add in the lemon juice and white vinegar slowly as the fiss up the baking powder.
2. Use to clean whatever mess you need.
3. Store left over in a container for upto a month.
Making something you can trust when your cleaning is not a hard task at all. 🧼 Remember you don't have to trust everything that's on the shelves. Their goal is money not your health. Don't let them take away our connection we have to both each other and the earth.🌌 We are interconnected in so many ways then we know!

Welcome to the Desert 🏜️
Welcome to the Desert 🏜️ Vast, Strong, Everlasting, and Teeming with Life. When you are out of the city with your feet in the sand, you can see the waves of energy. 🌵 Being disconnected from the concrete jungle is one of the best ways to learn to see and feel energy. There is a blockage in the city with nonconductive material that blocks and takes your energy away from you. 🦂 The connection is something that everyone has inside of them. Don't let them make you forget it.

For 2024
When we are patient, kind, forgiving and nonjudgmental. Our bodies and minds begin to vibrate at a higher frequency. We begin to feel and sense what energies align with our own and what doesn't serve us. We begin the process of healing , transcending our cultural programming and karma. My goal for 2024 is to cultivate healthy relationships with myself, my family, mother earth and all living things.

Scrap bag Vegetable broth 🥕
This is my favorite waste saver tip. And your not buying anything extra! By saving all your carrot tops, potato peels, and onion skins in a freezer bag you can slowly gather enough to make a full pot of broth.🥔 This is super simple to do and you make sure you get your full moneys worth. 💰
🫑The ingredient list🫑
🫑One full Pot of water
🫑One full gallon bag of vegetable scraps
🫑Any season of your choice
I used salt, pepper, garlic, onion, and sage
🫑🫑🫑
1. Add your water to a deep pot
2. Add freezer bag scraps to the pot. (You don't have to thaw them first)
3. Add whatever seasoning of your choice
4. Cover and let boil for as long as possible (I let mine go for about 6 hours)
5. Stain and can
6. Compost scraps of available to you
And just like what you have vegetable broth with no extra cost to you. 🥕 You can use this in any recipes that call for it or just drink it as well!🥔

Homemade vanilla!
Making your own vanilla is super easy!🍦 You don't need much and it tastes superior to the one you can buy in the store. Not to mention most of the ones in the store don't even contain any really vanilla! 😧 So for a better taste and cheeper product I recommend you make your own! 🧁 This vanilla you can use in place of any regular store bought.
🤍The ingredient list🤍
You may increase the ratio to whatever you please but here is your base measurements.
🤍1 cup unflavored alcohol 80 proof
(Recommendations vodka or bourbon)
🤍2 1/2 vanilla beans
(I just used 3 whole beans they are cheapest from Costco! More beans stronger flavor!)
🤍 Water even to fill the bottom of your pressure cooker
🤍Glass canning jar that will fit into your pressure cooker
🤍 Pressure cooker and rack to put jar on so it doesn't touch the bottom
🤍🤍🤍
1. Rub the beans in-between your hands to help loosen them, then slice down the middle (just to expose the beans not cut all the way through) from there you can cut into smaller pieces if you please then proceed to put them in your jar.
2. Fill jar with alcohol leaving about a inch of headspace.
3. Wipe rim if you plan on keeping it canned longer.
4. Place into pressure cooker on rack. Fill just the bottom with water enough to cover it.
5. Pressure cook for 40 minutes.
‼️6. This is the most important step LET THE PRESSURE COOKER RELEASE NATURALLY ‼️ DO RELEASE ANY PRESSURE YOURSELF AS THE GLASS HAS A HIGH CHANCE OF CRACKING ‼️ The whole process will take about and hour. Even when the pressure is released glass still may be HOT‼️ Please use caution and common sense! Wait for everything to cool before touching it!‼️
7. You vanilla is ready to enjoy! Use as you would any other vanilla. I recommend keeping the beans in as the can defuse more flavor!
🎂 And just like that you've made your own vanilla. Minimal ingredients and you know what's in it! This brings every recipe up a notch and you might surprise yourself with how good what you made is!🫣 Keep in touch to see how I used this vanilla in my sugar cookie recipe 🍪 that my great grandmother said was the best sugar cookies she ever had!
