Nasty Little Creature
Let me share a story about a painful experience I had with...a caterpillar!
Yes, a caterpillar called the "Tussock Moth Caterpillar" which has hairs, that when contacted, create a painful and allergic reaction.
Avoid what happened to me one Archery 🏹 Deer Season when I swatted what I wrongly thought was a fly on my neck.
It took a week for the swelling, pain and itching to go away.
Enjoy the video!

Coffee in the Treestand, ESSENTIAL for Success
There's nothing like a piping hot cup of coffee after sitting in the cold for a few hours. Especially up in a climbing treestand.
Nothing like it.
Adds to the joy, and lifts one's spirits.
My wife always supplies me with the best.
And it never has bothered the deer in my experience. At least in my neck of the woods.
Heck, it might even attract them!

Views From The Deer Woods
Deer hunting is not just about the kill, but is a time of refreshing, of restoration.
Time spent in God's creation makes one appreciate the scenery around oneself.
It imparts serenity and gratitude to the core of one's innermost being.
Enjoy a few common sights where I hunt.

Colton's 2015 Rifle Season Buck
My son, Colton, harvested a beautiful 8-point buck during the 2015 Oklahoma Rifle Season.
Interestingly, he almost chose not to hunt that morning!
He was sure glad he did!
Congratulations son! Pops is proud of you!
