Roundin' Up The Campers!
Well, turkey season is over and it was time to haul the campers back to the house.
Probably not the most exciting video, but I mixed in some humorous scenes and there was a camper mishap!
Who's camper had a mishap? Watch and find out, lol!
Listen to to rooster "roar" at the end....

Turkey Camp, 2022: Two birds down!
Due to the Oklahoma Spring Turkey Season opener falling on Easter weekend, we began our pursuit of wild gobblers the following weekend on Saturday, April 23, 2022.
It's always fun getting together with long-term hunting buddies and sharing the experience in the field, enjoying hearty fellowship and the bounty of God's creation: Building deeper bonds, especially as we are getting older. Time afield together becomes all the more cherished. All true outdoorsmen innately understand that sentiment.
Viewer be advised that there is live hunting action and the harvest of birds; all legally, of course.
There's also reference to a top secret turkey call, nicknamed the "Rio Grande." A witty and tactical call expressly developed from natural, organic byproducts. The "producer" of this call at this time wishes to remain anonymous, as production of this call is currently a private, one-man operation, tailor made when the unction moves him.

Video Short: "A Few Residents of Claremore Lake"
My son and I were fishing at Claremore Lake and were visited by a few locals, drifting by peacefully as we wet a few lines. I suspect they were used to handouts and were giving us hints.

Crappie Day Trip!
My son and I took a quick trip to try and catch a few crappie. But, alas, the water was still a bit too cold for lots of action, so we'll have to try again another day.
Nonetheless, it's always fun getting out and wetting a line! One can always appreciate the beauty of God's creation even if the fish aren't biting.
One can also get a kick out of little mishaps along the way, too....

The People's Convoy 02/27/2022
On Sunday, February 27, 2022, my wife and I shared in the joy of joining multitudes of freedom loving and patriotic Americans in watching the growing parade of truckers and their families passing through Oklahoma on their way to DC.
"The People's Convoy" is what they named it.
Whether you're politics lean to the right or to the left, one must admit that this has elicited a windfall of patriotism across the fruited plains.
I hope you enjoy this historic video.
We were there.
I hope you get a sense of the historic impact this clearly depicts of people practicing their sacred right to free speech in our beloved country!

Using the Yooper Scooper in Oklahoma!
So what is a Yooper Scooper?
Oklahoma recently got some snowfall during a winter storm event on February 3rd and 4th, 2022.
Coworkers and I cleared snow at work both days, getting 6-8 inches the first day and a couple more inches overnight.
But the story here in this short video highlights my Yooper heritage. I was born and raised in Michigan's upper peninsula, specifically the Keweenaw peninsula. Practically whelping in a snowbank, lol!
It wasn't unusual to get a few hundred inches of snow between late October and into April. We grew up with the stuff, some years, like the blizzard of 1978, snow drifted up to the eaves of our homes.
A Yooper invention, the "Yooper Scooper, was a snow removal tool most Yoopers owned. I brought mine to Oklahoma. I've had opportunity to use it a few times over my 32 plus years of living in Oklahoma. Not often; but glad to have it when a quick driveway clearing was in order.

Custom (Gallagher) Ruger .44 Magnum Super Blackhawk
In this video I showcase one of my favorite handguns: A custom Ruger Super Blackhawk in .44 magnum.
It also chambers the "10.9 Ruger Magnum," popularized by gun writer, Layne Simpson. I briefly describe the concept in this video.
I had the custom work completed by the late gunsmith, John Gallagher, of Jasper, Alabama. Sadly, John passed away in April 2020 after battling an illness, a mere few years after completing my firearm. He will be missed, was a master gunsmith, loved by marksmen and outdoorsman far and wide, and left us way too soon.
I hope you enjoy this video!

Oklahoma Archery Parting Thoughts
The last day of Archery Season had arrived. I was out for half a day and reflected on the past deer season as a whole.
Perhaps this short video speaks to thoughts you've had as the season winds down.

Dangerous Creature!
I was out hunting. Sitting quietly. Something touched my neck. I made a dreadful mistake, and paid dearly. What seemed harmless wasn't. Beware this creature, despite it's diminutive size and innocuous appearance....

"Deer CAMP 2021" ~ Muzzleloader & Rifle Season
Scenes from 2021 Muzzleloader and Rifle Season in Oklahoma.
I'm new at the YouTube thing, and do all my filming from an android phone and trail cameras with the use of FilmoraGo Pro app on my phone.
Due to limited equipment, I haven't been able (yet) to get footage of the moment of "harvest."
I do get live footage of deer in the wild and relaxing scenery.
I hope you enjoy my fledgling attempt at video production with only my phone, lol!
Someday, perhaps, I'll be able to do a more professional production, but until then I'll at the very least attempt to capture the spirit of our adventures.
God bless!

This joyous gathering to celebrate the joining of our son in holy matrimony was held in Woodward Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma on October 10, 2021.
The day was beautiful and boasted a perfect temperature with partially overcast skies and a gentle breeze.
Fun was had by all and a delicious meal was enjoyed by all afterwards at Osaka, a hibachi restaurant, courtesy of the bride's father, a wonderful gift to bride and groom!
Enjoy the video.

2021 Oklahoma Archery Opener
Our main objective was getting camp set up for muzzleloader season. However, being the opening weekend of Archery Season we did get to spend some time in the woods. The first morning we got rained on, but any time spent in God's glorious outdoors is time well spent. Enjoy the video and please consider subscribing! God bless and happy hunting this Fall!

Taking your kids hunting is a parent's opportunity to bond with their children and create very special memories.
It also creates in your children a love and appreciation for the outdoors and respect for the good Lord's creation.
