"Civil War," The Movie
In this video, I discuss the recently released motion picture “Civil War.” The motion picture does several things. It advances the redefining of what it means to be an American into an ideological construct; it demoralizes ethnic Americans (a bad idea since we have been the basis of USA power all of these years); it presents ethnic conflict as overthrowing the American order and ending US hegemony; it presents a vision of a multi-ethnic, multi-racial society that is poor and happy and not a threat to the Owners; it exonerates the Owners; it is a message that we are not to elect leaders they do not like (it is believed that Nick Offerman is a representation of Trump and MAGA); and it condemns strong leaders as well as any system that puts real power in the hands of government which seeks to do good for society. We also get glimpses of movies past that dealt with ethnic and other violence in other societies, and so we get the sense the writer/director is visiting those horrors on Americans in this movie. It is a very dark motion picture, and while it is called a cautionary tale by the media, we need to note that once again the Owners are trying to manipulate us to act a certain way. We must neutralize the inordinate power of the lovers of money and bring them into collaborating in a positive way for the betterment of all peoples.

Return to St Thomas Aquinas and the Law of Nations
In this video, I discuss Pope Francis' message to the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences on March 7 and 8, 2024. Pope Francis, like Pope Leo XIII before him, recognizes the need to return to St Thomas Aquinas and his philosophy in order to understand domestic and international society, and to right order the same. This means understanding the ius gentium, or the Catholic tradition of the Law of Nations. This makes ever more relevant the work of John Eppstein and others who recognized the importance of protecting and improving the person, the family, culture, the nation (or people or ethnicity), the right relation of these to the State, and the right relation of states and nations in the international order.
Hugo Grotius and John Locke did not have the same view as the Catholics and so there developed a view of domestic and international society that made it easier for an ideology like Liberalism, which focuses on the individual, material gain and the accumulation of wealth, to take hold. That in turn concentrated wealth and power in the hands of those able to gain such, and those desirous of material gain. As Liberalism is devoted to the service of Mammon, the service to God is forgotten and has harmful effects in all societies struggling to follow the Natural Law. However, the Natural Law is knowable by all peoples, and hence forms a way by which to right order relations in society and between countries because the Natural Law is there to continue, protect, make prosperous, and bring harmony.
The Law of Nations offers us a way forward to rightly understand events (especially current events), and to craft the correct and best response. We must recognize that in the USA there are many nations: Blacks (formerly Negroes), Americans, Jews, Hispanics, Asians, and subgroups of each. Eppstein and the Catholics recognized these realities, and that displeased the powers of this world. They reacted by, among other things, boiling everything down to skin color. Concepts like "racial equality" were weapons turned against us, and now we are being erased with DEI and CRT. We cannot deal effectively with these things unless we understand what is happening and can gain a frame of reference knowable and understandable to others of good will and good faith. A good development is the rise of these concepts to some degree in international documents.
I have been talking about all of this for some time, and it looks like the Pope might be reading The American Proposition. Stay tuned for my piece on all of this. Below is a link to my books and also the Pope's message.

Cabrini, Biden and God
In this video, I discuss the motion picture Cabrini, Joe Biden's State of the Union, and how those things impact God's law. One thing the powerful private interests can do is to manipulate or use truth and the natural order to advance their agenda. While people have a natural law right to travel and emigrate, countries may limit immigration under that same natural law. Cabrini will be used to tilt the balance for unlimited immigration and the timing of its release is suspect, or at least should give us cause to pause. Cabrini also looks as though it will be used to advance ideologies that weaken the role of men, confuse sex roles or gender roles, and thereby weaken the family thereby weakening peoples or nations. Emotion, expert cinematography, and in short all the brilliance for which Hollywood is known for in the psychological warfare arena will be on full display by two writers directors who brought us the motion picture the Sound of Freedom thereby earning a share of the Catholic market. Biden's SOTU was another attack on the peoples of the United States and did anything but unify.
The natural law as set forth by St Thomas Aquinas sets forth the means by which to properly order the international society which means right ordering the domestic society which in turn means nurturing, rightly developing, and protecting the family, the extended family (nation) and hence the person. These concepts have been forgotten in large measure, but I and others are bringing them back and none too soon.
