Ducks wait in line for fresh cut fries
Two beautiful ducks venturing out for a night on the town in Peterborough, Ontario stopped for a bite to eat at a quaint little fast food spot. Looks like humans aren't the only ones who love french fries!

Slumbering pooch has comical response when woken
On a lazy sunny summer afternoon, a very relaxed puppy was trying to catch a little nap while dreaming about all the important things in her life. While her owner and best friend watches, he can't resist but try to capture a bit of this on film... especially her comical reaction when she is rudely awakened by a loud noise. You'll love the almost cartoonish response as you watch her quickly run away only to return with a bit of an attitude.
A laughable reaction to a prank meant only in fun... hopefully the promised revenge is only a threat!

Wild deer and turkeys come together for snack time
Just a bit north of Peterborough, Ontario is North Kawartha Township. It's a beautiful area nestled in nature. It's the kind of place where you can look out your back window and see Mother Nature's sweetest creatures.
This one morning there was an unusual mix of characters showing up for a morning snack. A mama deer and her little one stopped by and went to their usual table only to find it overrun with a bunch of wild turkeys. She didn't care but the little one's not quite so trusting. After watching from a distance and seeing that deer and turkey can dine together, the little one makes a move only to be startled by one of these invaders.
Not often are you going to see a sight like this, especially if you're not in the North Kawartha area. So sit back and watch what you're missing living in the city and hopefully you don't dine with turkeys that aren't family!

A Walk Through A Winter Wonderland
When temperatures are in the mid 30 degrees celsius, it's hard to stay cool unless you're locked up inside with the air conditioning going. Well there is another way...come take a walk with me on what was one of the most beautiful winter days that I can recall. The sky was a bright blue with only a couple wispy clouds in the sky. It was cold and crisp out, the kind of day that when you breathed in through your nose your nostrils would stick together. There was ice on the branches of the trees that glistened as the sun reflected off of them. The snow was light on the ground so it was silent as you walked.
My daughter and I took this opportunity to get my drone out and try out a winter flight and it was well worth it. I think as you watch this you'll see why we bundled up and ventured out in the cold...we were thinking about those hot summer days while we were out but we enjoyed it all the same.
So take a walk with us and hopefully as we go you'll feel that cool breeze that we did and it will take a bit of the summer heat away...enjoy!

Mysterious Crop Circles Appear from Nowhere
While taking my Drone out for a test drive, next to a church and children's playground, I noticed something very unusual. At the top of the hill, in some very tall grass were markings like I had never seen before. They had no logical purpose for being there and how they would have been made escapes me. Hopefully you will get the perspective of how big this is based on the size of the trees behind it and even a passing vehicle on the road to the left of it. It conjured up images in my mind of what people have reported as being Crop Circles.
When you first look at it, you can almost see the body shape of a turtle...but one with antenna and a very long tail. In a highly populated area, how does something like this just appear over night.
If you think you have the answer, please comment because I sure don't know. Hope you enjoy a Drone's Point of View with what could be visitors to Peterborough...

Fire Fighter Coin Ring Tutorial
Recently I've started a hobby creating jewelry from Coins and Flatware and it has really taken off. A friend of mine is a volunteer firefighter and I wanted to do something for him so I took a Firefighter Challenge Coin and turned it into a ring. This isn't an easy process and there's lots of steps and repetition but I tried to create a condensed step by step of how I take a flat coin and turn it into a piece of jewelry that he'll be proud to wear.
The coin itself has no monetary value so it's not actual currency but it is a good solid .999 Copper, and it's a full ounce...it has a lot of weight to it. The coin is also around 1 1/2" across...thats big.
I have purchased special punches, presses, dies, and all sorts of other tools to be able to do these rings while being able to maintain the detail both on the outside and on the inside of the ring.
I've done all sorts of coins, local and foreign but the size of this one really made it a challenge...no pun intended.
This is the first video that I have done where I have included my voice, so I hope it sounds better to you than it did to me. Hope you enjoy my new hobby and if you're interested in seeing other pieces that I have done and continue to do, take a look at my Instagram page which you can find under Rekindled Treasures. I'm trying to bring life and passion into the jewelry I'm making from some of the old forgotten things.

Coronavirus - Is this the cure?
Coronaviruses (CoV) are a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV). A novel coronavirus (nCoV) is a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans.
Coronaviruses are zoonotic, meaning they are transmitted between animals and people. Detailed investigations found that SARS-CoV was transmitted from civet cats to humans and MERS-CoV from dromedary camels to humans. Several known coronaviruses are circulating in animals that have not yet infected humans.
Common signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases, infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and even death.
Standard recommendations to prevent infection spread include regular hand washing, covering mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing, thoroughly cooking meat and eggs. Avoid close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing.
With all of that...you still have to have a little fun...

Oh Canada M&M's
In my house there's always been a debate over which is better...M&M's or Smarties. Don't get me wrong, they're both a great way to satisfy a craving when you're in desperate need for chocolate but everyone is a little more partial to one or the other.
Both profess to be at least 'Prepared in Canada' and when you look at the Nutrition Facts...who am I kidding...don't look at the Nutrition Facts...if that's what you're concerned about then head to the fridge and grab a carrot. For those of you like me who don't mind stepping out of the garden patch for a snack, then these are what you're looking for.
So some like to 'eat the red one's last' while others like those animated spokespersons in all the commercials...I even used to have a big plastic dispenser that gave out a wonderful treat when you pulled his arm down.
Now one of these companies have taken a bit of a 'patriotic' stance with their candy...you may say it's just an advertising gimmick and maybe it is, but it's a damn good one in my books!
My mother used to tell me not to play with my food but for some reason I just couldn't help it this time. Sit back, take your hat off, and enjoy my video of a great candy with something even greater made out of it. Be proud, men and women fought for our freedom and our right to choose between M&M's and Smarties...enjoy!

RUN SQUIRREL RUN!!!!
Chipmunks are cute, Squirrels not so much! When my dog Kahlua spots a hefty sized squirrel on the other side of the kitchen window she makes it quite clear that it's not welcome. The two quickly go nose to nose through a pane of glass and then that squirrel realizes it better make a run for it because a Tree Rat is no match for this pup. That squirrel suddenly looks like 'Rocky' from that old cartoon because this Squirrel can FLY...watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat...or at least make a squirrel disappear!

Early Morning Feeding
You should start each and every day off with a good breakfast...and breakfast doesn't get any better than this!
In an area just north of Peterborough Ontario, it's still real easy to get up close and personal with nature, in fact in some areas like this, nature becomes like part of the family. This video was taken on the property of a very lucky family who gets to interact with some of the most beautiful creatures you will ever see. Deer are often seen from afar but how often do you get the chance to actually have a deer eating out of your hand while her baby watches from a nearby location. This is Mother Natures very own petting farm without the need for any fences to confine the animals...they're here because they want to be and because the way they are treated by the family that lives here.
Not many of you will get the chance to have a beautiful deer like this eat right from your hand but hopefully you will enjoy this little interaction and it may even get you in a festive spirit.
Enjoy...

A Quick Little Car Wash
There's nothing that takes you back to your childhood more than the times you begged your Father to take you through the Car Wash. There was always something magical about watching the colourful soap and water making all kinds of weird and wonderful shapes as it swished about the windows...which you had your face pressed up against as if you were defying all the laws of nature by not getting wet.
Car Washes have changed a bit these days, no more big brushes than ran scratches up and down every part of your parents car, but the magic still hasn't changed. Take a quick ride through a car wash with me...feel free to push your face up against the screen and not get wet...enjoy!

Near Crash too Close for Comfort - Scary!
Driving on a busy highway can be enough of a challenge with heavy traffic and people with zero patience. Add on people who are just not paying attention and our highway becomes a potential death trap and crashes are bound to happen.
Recently on a trip with my daughter on one of Ontarios busiest highways, we were faced with a first hand experience of a driver who was either not paying attention or for some reason thought that they were the only one on the highway that mattered. This one scared my daughter slightly and raised my temper as this idiot tried to push their way into a lane already occupied. One car was forced to make some evasive moves to prevent what would have definitely been a bad crash and from my vantage point was way too close for comfort. Kudos to the one driver and hopefully the other at the very least got a good scare, possibly soiled themselves, and started paying attention for the rest of their drive.
Be safe everyone...enjoy!

Puppy put into Hypnotic State of Slumber...Hilarious!
This is a hysterical look at a puppy that just doesn't want to give in that it's bedtime. Meet 'CHASE', a stubborn little 'Shorkie-poo' (sorry, not my name for it...Shitzu, York Shire Terrier and Poodle) who is having a hard time giving in to the fact that the day is over and it's time for sleep. 'Holly' the slumbering 'Shi-poo' has already said her goodnights and is tucked to the side waiting for everyone else to do the same. Thankfully Andrew has a special way of getting 'Chase' to concede. This is the cutest thing your going to see today...enjoy!
