The Khukuri and it's true History maybe somewhat forgotten, but, the blade and it's design never will! This is a 12 inch full tang blade known as the Beast! This blade design has 3 Chirra and is made of high graded carbon steel and has a 6" long dark rosewood scales / handle, 18" overall length. The weight of this knife alone is 886 grams, the blade is 3/8" inches or 10mm thick at the spine. Handforge by The Kami and Biswakarma castes who are the traditional inheritors of the art of khukuri making. It is handmade using the top quality materials in a very traditional way with predictable tools. When your holding a Khukuri in your hands, you know you now have the power to overcome any obstacles! Garden canning. Using a hot water bath method or using a pressure canner, always remember there are safety protocols in place for a reason. Don't deviate form them! Everything that we did was by hand. It took us 3 Days from start to finish to can 63 X 500ml jars of Crispy Dill Pickles for our pantry. Things that could trim time off of your tasks are: Having a dish washer, larger counter space, all prep work done in advance. Educate your spouse on how to become an asset in the kitchen. Did I just become a Gardener. Time to look towards the future in starting seedlings. Make your own compost. Know what goes into your soil and potting mix. Keep it all natural. Your plants, fruits and veggies will thank you for it and produce the most luxurious harvest ever. Remember, yes paper products do decompose, but, it doesn't mean that it's good for gardens, plants and such. Paper is made using all kinds of chemicals, ink on paper is also made with chemicals. So think about that before you question about using fertilizers whether it's a chemical or natural substance added to soil to increase its fertility. Happy Gardening Everyone. When should you start to maintain your Tomato Plants? I say from the START. As saplings 6" tall you should have a fan blowing lightly on them so that their stocks become stronger. Once the plants show their strength, remove them from the nursery and place them outdoors for about 3 hours a day for the first week or two, then 5 hours a day for the next two weeks following. When it's time to transplant them into your garden place a splash of organic root enhancer first, then plant. Yes this would also be a good time to install your sticks and tie the plant up so that they start to climb. Don't be shy, water these plants daily. Keep a close eye on their growth. If you see suckers growing between the leaf and the main stock, remove them! This will help the plant direct vital energy and nutrients into creating & ripening their fruits, yes the tomato plant will love you! Help the plant vine its way up a TALL stick, tie it off every 12 inches or so to keep them stable. Sucker check again, OK done. Now once your plants have produced a few vines of hanging tomatoes on the stock it's time to rid the plant of unwanted sun leaves. Yarrow Plant - is most frequently used as a bug repellent in a tincture form, extracted in alcohol. Used as an after bite, anti-inflammatory. Fresh leaves can be made into a poultice to pack open wounds to aid in stopping blood and healing. Plant can also be dried, turned to powder for teas, powder under the tongue can aid in a toothaches. Can also be taken with a drink to help detoxify the body. The infused oil is also a useful treatment for wounds, inflamed muscles, and bruises, it's an anti-inflammatory. Can also help with burns, rashes, bruises and relieve pain. The Yarrow Plant is also used for fever, common cold, hay fever, absence of menstruation, dysentery, diarrhea, loss of appetite, gastrointestinal (GI) tract discomfort, and to induce sweating.
