Gardening Tomatoes. Removing unwanted suckers. Pruning Leaves to prevent Disease and grow BIGGER?

When should you start to maintain your Tomato Plants? I say from the START. As saplings 6" tall you should have a fan blowing lightly on them so that their stocks become stronger. Once the plants show their strength, remove them from the nursery and place them outdoors for about 3 hours a day for the first week or two, then 5 hours a day for the next two weeks following. When it's time to transplant them into your garden place a splash of organic root enhancer first, then plant. Yes this would also be a good time to install your sticks and tie the plant up so that they start to climb. Don't be shy, water these plants daily. Keep a close eye on their growth. If you see suckers growing between the leaf and the main stock, remove them! This will help the plant direct vital energy and nutrients into creating & ripening their fruits, yes the tomato plant will love you! Help the plant vine its way up a TALL stick, tie it off every 12 inches or so to keep them stable. Sucker check again, OK done. Now once your plants have produced a few vines of hanging tomatoes on the stock it's time to rid the plant of unwanted sun leaves. In this video I show you how I did it and what it looks like once completed. Happy Gardening!
