Alright Now/All Right Now: FREE Doing Their Thing 1970 Live Stereo Remix
Here is a more up to date stereo remix of Free's classic live studio performance of Alright Now/All Right Now (written both ways!)
The track separation is NOT perfect as frequency bands do overlap, ending up in cancellation in points, Paul Kossoff's guitar in particular!
But here it is in all its glory! A ripper performance by 1 of the British greats of blues/rock!

Monoprice 15 Watt Guitar Amplifier Unboxing Australian FIRST! FAIL!!!
Just received the really cool, (& relatively frugal) Monoprice Stage Right, 15 Watt guitar amplifier with 12" Celestion speaker!
While it seems well built, 2 glaring issues with this otherwise nice amp. 1, it's US power only, despite the website showing the back panel with a MULTI-POWER transformer fitted, and 2, sadly it had transport damage! (NOT Monoprice's fault!) UPS damaged this amp!
I was SO looking forward to doing a review & demo for you as an Aussie first, but I couldn't even power it up!
This amp seems to be modelled after the Laney Cub combo amp. Same wattage, valve compliment, and features. Same/similar circuit I'm guessing.
The Laney retails here for $780!!! This is just the same amp in a different box, and a different speaker. (Laney use H&H speakers, can't vouch for how good those are, as I have NO experience with them!)
Hell, it wouldn't surprise me IF these Mono amps are made in the SAME factory AS the Laney, 'budget' line!
I have contacted Monoprice to see what they advise to do about the damage and/or the power options.
But I dare say it will have to go back, as the front baffle is cracked right thru! (DAMN you UPS! You have a LOT to answer for Doug Heffernan!)
To be fair to Monoprice, their service is really good, and the speed of shipping was amazing, maybe TOO fast!
Please share your thoughts, like & subscribe if you feel inclined!

HUXLEY TELECASTER STYLE ELECTRIC GUITAR FROM ALDI UNBOXING & SET UP DEMO
In this video, I show the surprisingly good & frugal Telecaster style electric guitar that was on sale recently at ALDI!
They normally retail @ $100, but they always have left overs and get marked down to $60-70!!!
I got this 1 for $70!
For the money, I CAN'T really fault it!
Neck and body well made, and joined, frets neatly installed, no sharp or rough edges. The nut was cut perfectly, I did not need to do any slot filing whatsoever!! 0.5mm @ fret 1!
The pick ups, (as you would expect) at this price point ARE rubbish, however are not terrible. Weak ceramics, however, it does sound LIKE what it looks like! Not great, but it's in the tonal ball park. I HAVE heard worse on $2-300 examples!
This is NO Fender folks, however, I think it IS as good as any mid range SQUIER Telecaster, with natural neck and cheapy pick ups!
This will be a chopper guitar, and will not be very Tele-esque by the time it's done.
For a sub $100 guitar, it is far BETTER than you should expect to get for that sort of spend!

Behringer VT999 Vintage Tube Monster Front End Demo!!!
This is MY demo of the Fantastic BEHRINGER VT999, Vintage Tube Monster, real valve Over Drive pedal!
1 of the BEST things Behringer has ever made when it comes to O/D stomp boxes!
Utilizing a REAL 12AX7 type pre-amp valve. It stands UP along side many others that cost 100s of dollars! (This sells in AU for way less than $100!)
The circuit only works on low voltage, plate starvation mode, but still delivers, warm, dynamic and compressed overdrive that only a real valve can produce.
ONLY I think the Blackstar HT range of Pedals and Amps (Which incorporate the HT OD circuit as its preamp) run on 300V circuits.
Most of the others still run on 9-18V plate starvation.
Be that as it may, this pedal has some GREAT, high-end features!
Solid steel chassis construction, solid rubber feet, heavy duty foot switch, a volume & gain control + full 3-way tone eq control for total sound shaping.
It also has a noise gate, with an adjustable threshold, to cut back gain hiss.
Tho with a good valve in it, the noise floor is pretty low, even when the gain is maxed.
The stock valve is pretty average, the pedal sounds good but unremarkable.
CHANGE it for a good quality 12AX7, like a JJ, EHX or Sovtek, and watch this baby come to life!
It is now the ONLY O/D pedal I own and use!
I use it in the front end of my amps, for low gain sounds and my amps own overdrive for higher gained sounds!
Very transparent, and dynamic, it suits any type of electric and semi-acoustic guitars!
Please enjoy!
