I woke up to my doorbell being rung at 6am in the morning. It was ringing none stop. I looked outside but no one was there. I thought I might have a short or something. I thought I saw a twig on the button, so I went outside to check it out. Turns out it was a baby praying mantis that had landed on my doorbell. It was on the button for 20 minutes. I had to chase it off the button to get the ringing to stop. My doorbell ring sounds like the chime to a grandfather clock. You can hear it in the background.

Here you go. Six weeks today. I am discovering the pitfalls of macro algae in the display tank. It keeps falling apart and scattering everywhere. I had one Pom Pom that is now 3 glued to rock Pom Poms. So far, the critters seem to be eating. Definitely pooping. I have tons of shells for the hermits.

Decided to drop a macro algae in the 10 gallon tank. The amphipods that have stayed hidden since the mysid shrimp were introduced. They went nuts, pouring out of the rock. Not afraid of being eaten when they think there is something to eat. Thankfully they have swarmed in and out of the Pom Pom. (There is a glass shrimp in the tank too.)

Another hermit flipped him over. Then he has to pull himself back.

We have fish in the 10 gallon saltwater tank. The Neon Blue Goby got into a quarrel with another Neon Blue Goby. (It’s own reflection!) Thankfully it lost interest and is now exploring its new tank.

We have 5 Trochus snails, 4 Cerith snails, and 7 dwarf Zebra/Orange & Black hermit crabs. I had a spot of musics net, nasty little gross snails without shells, and 5 hours in with the new clean up crew, and that spot is gone.

The mysid had the wafer all to themselves until the hermits found it.

The blue goby sits on this rock ledge most of the day while the pajama cardinal either hovers on the back left corner or watches me through the rocks from the back of the tank.

While looking out back window, a friend saw and recorded an abino Squirrel. Louisville Kentucky is known for it's albino squirrel population.

This guy is all over the macro algae. Who knew they had a ‘face’.

When you are a small mysid shrimp, the bigger shrimp might see you as food. This little shrimp is trying to bury himself in the sand.

I started recording snow falling at different times, then Mango jumped in the window. With the help of software magic, I have a fun vid with Mango enjoying the view.

When you follow a mysid around the tank, you run into everyone else. Hermits, Ceriths, and other mysid.

Found out why my bed is messier than when I leave it in the morning. Sometimes, our cats like to sleep under the covers even when we are not around.

He is all over the tank all the time. I don’t think I want to get a fish big enough to eat him.

This guy changed shells on me. Looks like he is happily eating now that he isn’t hunting for a new home.

This guy rarely makes an appearance in the front of the tank. He also seems to move backwards most of the time.

Little hermit crab in new shell makes the same run through the macro algae again.

I recorded this video 5 years ago in September. This was the last litter that a feral mommacat had before I was able to get her fixed through Alley Cats. She was always a wonderful momma and I was so glad to be there with her as she raised these wonderful babies. I still have one of the gingers.

The snails are out and about eating. Lights out in 20 minutes.

Got some feeder mysid shrimp to seed my tank and this guy was in the bag. He is huge. Never saw a mysid this big before. Guess because they usually are eaten by your fish before they get this big.

I have two fish, 8 hermits, 4 Cerith snails and 5 small Trochus snails. The tank is 5 weeks old, has been seeded with coralline algae, amphipods and copepods. I started with dry rock and live sand.

This little guy is fast. One minute he is on the sand, the next minute, he is at the top of the rock. His personality is growing.

When you think you are the one watching them, someone eats at you through the rocks.

This little guy has zero fear while climbing a macro algae. He falls from the top but goes right back to climbing.
