Torrey Pines State Beach is a public beach located in the San Diego, California, community of Torrey Pines, south of Del Mar and north of La Jolla. Coastal erosion from the adjacent Torrey Pines State Reserve makes for a picturesque landscape. It is a local favorite among surfers and remains a quintessential Southern California beach. Occurrences of bioluminescence in the waters near the beach have been noted.
Portola Redwoods State Park is a 2,800 acres (1,100 ha) state park in California in San Mateo County. The parks' primary watercourses — Peters Creek, Pescadero Creek, and their associated tributaries — converge at Portola Redwoods State Park. Tip Toe Falls is a small waterfall along Fall Creek, a tributary of Pescadero Creek.
The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is an oceanfront amusement park in Santa Cruz, California. Founded in 1907, it is California's oldest surviving amusement park[1] and one of the few seaside parks on the West Coast of the United States.
Pismo State Beach is a beach on the Pacific coast in the U.S. state of California. It is approximately 17 miles long and fronts the towns of Pismo Beach, Grover Beach, and Oceano in San Luis Obispo County. It is managed by the California Department of Parks and Recreation.
The Field of Light is a large-scale site-specific light-based installation created by British artist Bruce Munro. The sculpture slowly changes color, creating a shimmering field of light.
Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout! is an accelerated drop tower dark ride attraction at the Disney California Adventure Park at the Disneyland Resort. Based on the characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (specifically those from the Guardians of the Galaxy films), it depicts Rocket recruiting guests to attempt to free the remaining Guardians of the Galaxy from display within the Collector's fortress.
A zip-line, zip line, zip-wire, flying fox, or death slide is a pulley suspended on a cable, usually made of stainless steel, mounted on a slope.
With its breathtaking San Francisco Bay views, easy hiking, welcoming beaches and picnic areas, and wild open spaces, Crissy Field is a recreational paradise that has long been discovered by locals. The site has a rich history – first as a home for the Native Ohlone, then as an Army airfield, and later as a busy industrial area for the military.
When the post became a national park, the restoration of Crissy Field - led by the National Park Service and Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy - was the first significant transformation. Today, nature lovers flock to Crissy Marsh, a birdwatching hot spot. Locals and visitors alike run, stroll, and cycle along the Bay Trail to the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. And the former airplane hangars and warehouses are home to recreational uses from a rock climbing gym to a trampoline house. History buffs are served up a fascinating story from the past at the Military Intelligence Service Historic Learning Center.
Crissy Field's 100 acres are bookended by two stunning picnic destinations, West Bluff. Enjoyed by millions every year, the northern waterfront is the park's "front door," a threshold you will want to cross time and again. Parking is limited, but don't worry – the area is well served by the Presidio GO Shuttle and is best enjoyed on your feet.
Universal Studios Hollywood is a film studio and theme park in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles County, California.
SeaWorld San Diego is an animal theme park, oceanarium, outside aquarium and marine mammal park, in San Diego, California, United States, located inside Mission Bay Park. It is owned and operated by SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment.
Urban Light (Two-hundred and two) restored cast iron antique street lamps.

Construction Update Universal Studios Hollywood New ‘Fast & Furious’ coaster
New ‘Fast & Furious’ Coaster Construction Update
Universal Studios Hollywood has exciting plans as they prepare to introduce a brand-new roller coaster inspired by the beloved "Fast & Furious" film series. This thrilling coaster will undoubtedly capture the franchise's essence, highlighting its iconic elements of high-speed street racing and exhilarating mid-air adventures. The park recently revealed that construction will commence shortly. The ride will incorporate an innovative ride system meticulously crafted to immerse visitors in the dynamic and action-packed world of "Fast & Furious." While specific details remain under wraps, Universal Studios officials have confirmed that the existing attraction "Fast & Furious — Supercharged" on the backlot Studio Tour will continue to operate.
Positioned on the upper deck at the former locations of Animal Actors and Special Effects Show attractions, as reported by USA Today, the new coaster promises an unforgettable experience. Despite the absence of an official opening date announcement, fans can anticipate an extraordinary ride that embraces the heart-pounding essence of the film series. This exciting development follows the recent release of the franchise's tenth installment, "Fast X," which achieved remarkable success by earning over $700 million worldwide.
Furthermore, Universal Studios Hollywood's innovation extends beyond the "Fast & Furious" coaster. The park introduced Super Nintendo World, an immersive area inspired by the popular Super Mario video game franchise. This section features an automobile-based ride known as Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, where participants don augmented reality goggles for an enhanced adventure. As Universal Studios continues to push the boundaries of entertainment, visitors can eagerly anticipate the upcoming "Fast & Furious" roller coaster as another thrilling addition to their cinematic ride experiences.

Flash Flood Studio Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood
The Flash Flood attraction incorporated into the Studio Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood was introduced in 1970 with the guidance of Jay Stein, President of the Recreation Division. This captivating attraction aimed to provide visitors an exhilarating adventure rather than just observing regular film production activities on the lot. The attraction is set within a narrow street in a Mexican village, where a remarkable display occurs. By utilizing rain bars, an impressive movie-like rain effect is achieved by directing water sprays upwards to simulate rainfall. Intense strobe lighting and thunder sound effects bring a simulated thunderstorm effect to life. Occasionally, the rain becomes more intense, leading to a simulated flooding scenario.
At the highest point of a hill, a massive wall of water rushes down, creating a dramatic scene where the tram appears to be threatened by engulfing floodwaters. The force of the floodwater causes a wooden cart to swing dangerously close to the tram, and even a signpost is toppled over. As the tram progresses, the water is drained from the set and recycled into dump tanks for the next tram's arrival.
This impressive effect was introduced to the tour in 1968 and featured in various films, including "Big Fat Liar" and "Fletch Lives."
During this part of the tour, guides often share two interesting facts. Early filmmakers discovered that plain Californian water didn't appear well on film, so they added powdered milk to enhance its visibility. Therefore, when Gene Kelly famously sang "Singin' in the Rain," he performed in milk. The other amusing fact involves the responsible use of water. The floodwater is not wasted; it's recycled and used in the upper lot's drinking fountains. This ensures efficient water reuse for the next tram's visit.
After experiencing the flood scene, the tram proceeds through Mexican Street/Old Mexico, heading towards Six Points, Texas.
How Does It Work?
The Flash Flood attraction employs a large tank holding 10,000 gallons of water. The flood is orchestrated in two primary ways: one torrent cascades down the hill, while another rushes through buildings on the left side of the area. Furthermore, two bursts of water are precisely generated beside the tram by directing pressurized water through two additional ducts.
In its earlier years, a tree used to be knocked over by the flood, but this has been replaced by the current signpost and cart, enhancing the dramatic impact of the experience.

Universal Studios Lot Filming Locations Studio Tour Universal Studios Hollywood (2007)
"Filming Locations" is a video segment produced as stall material for the Studio Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood in 2007.
A filming location is a place where some or all of a film or television series is produced, in addition to or instead of using sets constructed on a movie studio backlot or soundstage. In filmmaking, a location is any place where a film crew will be filming actors and recording their dialog. A location where dialog is not recorded may be considered a second unit photography site. Filmmakers often choose to shoot on location because they believe that greater realism can be achieved in a "real" place; however, location shooting is often motivated by the film's budget. Many films shoot interior scenes on a sound stage and exterior scenes on location.
There are two main types of locations.
Location shooting is the practice of filming in an actual setting
Studio shoots in either a sound stage or back lot
Universal Studios Lot is a television and film studio complex located at 100 Universal City Plaza in Universal City, California, adjacent to the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park. It is the site of Universal Pictures and is owned by Comcast through its wholly-owned subsidiary NBCUniversal. The lot officially opened the gates of Universal City on March 15, 1915. The lot began offering its modern studio tour in 1964, which eventually evolved into the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park. Today the Universal Studios Lot is made up of 400 acres, which includes more than 30 sound stages, the Brokaw News Center and 165 other separate structures.
On March 15, 1915, Carl Laemmle opened Universal City Studios on a 230-acre ranch in the San Fernando Valley and called it "Universal City". The site later became known as Universal Studios Lot and Universal City was considered the first self-contained community dedicated to making films.
In 1950, Universal Studios Lot increased its overall size to 400 acres after Universal acquired additional land at the southern border of the studio. Music Corporation of America (MCA Inc.) bought the Universal Studios Lot in 1958. Universal then leased back its property from MCA until MCA and Universal merged in 1962.
Shortly after the MCA–Universal Pictures merger, accountants suggested that a new tour in the studio commissary would increase profits. On July 15, 1964, the modern Universal Studios tour was established to include a series of dressing room walk-throughs, peeks at actual production, and later, staged events. This grew over the years into a full-blown theme park now known as Universal Studios Hollywood.
Over the next decades, numerous television shows and movies were filmed in Universal Studios Lot, notably at the Courthouse Square and Colonial Street sets. This includes Psycho (Paramount Pictures), Back to the Future (Universal Pictures), The Perfect Storm (Warner Bros.), War of the Worlds (Paramount Pictures/DreamWorks), Desperate Housewives (ABC), and The Good Place (NBC). Today, Universal Studios Lot is one of the largest full-service production facilities. It has continued to modernize and grow with plans to expand by adding additional soundstages and building facilities.
Since 2016, the NBC show American Ninja Warrior has filmed their Los Angeles city qualifiers and finals courses on the lot.
The Studio Tour is a public attraction both as a VIP and at the adjacent Universal Studios Hollywood theme park that offers visitors a behind-the-scenes look at the historic studio lot. The tour first opened in 1915 when Carl Laemmle invited visitors to see the studio in action. The Universal Tour was halted in the late 1920s and revived in 1964. Since then it has evolved through countless iterations, including new tour hosts, movie sets, and experiences.

Time to Ignite the Night - Nighttime Spectaculars Return Disneyland Resort April 22 - TV Spot (2022)
It’s time to ignite the night! Fan-favorite nighttime spectaculars return to Disneyland Resort on April 22.
Disneyland Resort proudly presents the homecoming of four beloved nighttime spectaculars and a new grand finale to the “Main Street Electrical Parade” for its 50th anniversary. On April 22, 2022, the “Main Street Electrical Parade” and “Disneyland Forever” fireworks spectacular will ignite the night at Disneyland Park, and “World of Color” will return to Disney California Adventure Park. “Fantasmic!” is preparing for its return to Disneyland on May 28, 2022.
Since Disneyland Resort reopened in April 2021, guests have been able to rediscover the wonders and magic of returning entertainment – such as Jambalaya Jazz in New Orleans Square at Disneyland and “Disney Junior Dance Party!” at Disney California Adventure. New experiences have been introduced, too, like the Raya encounter in Redwood Creek Challenge Trail and Celebrate Soulfully entertainment throughout the month of February. Each of these offerings highlights the incredible momentum at the Disneyland Resort as part of its phased reopening.
A guest favorite since its debut in 1972, “Main Street Electrical Parade” features cherished floats such as the classic train and drum unit and Elliot the Dragon. With an electronic musical score based on “Baroque Hoedown” by Jean-Jacques Perrey and Gershon Kingsley, this parade was the first to play unique musical arrangements synchronized to each float unit. The lineup of floats has changed over the years, and Disney parks around the world have presented evolving versions of this iconic parade.
To honor the milestone 50th anniversary of “Main Street Electrical Parade,” Disney Live Entertainment will introduce a magnificent grand finale that celebrates the theme of togetherness in an all-new float. This universal theme is reflected in the creative concept of the grand finale sequence, drawing inspiration from the original design of classic “Main Street Electrical Parade” floats and Mary Blair’s iconic art style on “it’s a small world.” The seven-segment float stretches 118 feet in length and brings to life more than a dozen Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios films, making it one of the longest and grandest sequences in the parade’s history. These stories will be interpreted in thousands of sparkling lights and electro-synthe-magnetic musical sound, with unique representations of beloved characters as animated dolls.
“World of Color” at Disney California Adventure brings animation to life with powerful fountains that create an immense screen of water. Combining music, fire, fog and laser effects with memorable animated sequences, “World of Color” floods the senses and immerses audiences in some favorite Disney and Pixar stories, including scenes like WALL-E and Eve zipping through the cosmos, Pocahontas exploring just around the riverbend and Jack Sparrow battling on the sea. The mega-scale spectacular is presented on a massive “stage” of water, color and light that is bigger than a football field and encompasses all of Paradise Bay. Plus, the powerful fountains can send water to heights ranging from 30 feet to 200 feet – higher than the top of Pixar Pal-A-Round!
“Disneyland Forever” fireworks spectacular is a street-to-sky celebration filled with sparkling pyrotechnics and immersive projections that envelop guests in a breathtaking journey with surprising special effects. Main Street, U.S.A., and a few other spots in Disneyland become a magical canvas, transporting guests from an Anaheim orange grove into the worlds of timeless Disney and Pixar stories. “Disneyland Forever” also features two original songs: the theme “Live the Magic” and the inspiring closing song “Kiss Goodnight,” written by Disney Legend Richard B. Sherman.
“Main Street Electrical Parade” and “Disneyland Forever” will be available for a limited time at Disneyland. From April 22 to late spring, “Disneyland Forever” will perform Fridays through Sundays, and the “Mickey’s Mix Magic” projections-only show is scheduled Mondays through Thursdays. “Disneyland Forever” fireworks will then run nightly in the summer. “World of Color” will return to its regular schedule upon reopening. “Fantasmic!” lights the night beginning May 28

Original Earthquake The Big One Universal Studios Hollywood Studio Tour Television Commercial (1989)
Earthquake: The Big One
The Universal Studios Hollywood, Studio Tour tram enters Stage 50 (“the only split level soundstage in the world”), all seems quiet as the film crew is on a lunch break. Then the ground starts shaking…
Earthquake attraction simulates a large earthquake, rated at 8.3 on the Richter scale inside a soundstage, designed to make it look like a San Francisco subway station. They have a "hot set"; (A movie set where nothing should be moved since the set has been used for filming and will be used again for filming.) The attraction features a gimbal that allows it to shake the tram, a burning gasoline truck that collapses through the roof, fire and spark effects (Tesla coils), a derailing subway train, and a 60,000-gallon flood of water. The attraction resets itself within just 15 seconds to prepare itself for the next tram load of guests.
The attraction has been closed twice due to real earthquakes: October 17, 1989, following the Loma Prieta tremblor in Northern California (7 months after the attraction opened) and on June 28, 1992, resulting in a closure for 24 hours for safety checks.
Note: The attraction never featured live performers, except for the purposes of video marketing.
Earthquake: The Big One was built in 1988, and replaced the Tower of London set which stood on the spot. Stage 50 was constructed specifically for this attraction. It’s not an actual soundstage used for production on the Universal Studios lot. However, the attraction has been featured in a small number of films and television shows.

Walt Disney Imagineering TRON Lightcycle Run Walt Disney World (2022)
Our Walt Disney Imagineering project team will soon celebrate a significant milestone on the construction of the TRON Lightcycle / Run attraction, as guests at Magic Kingdom Park will be getting their first glimpses of ride vehicles on the track!
Check out this new video for a behind-the-scenes look from Executive Ride Engineer, Jerold Kaplan, as the team prepares for this important milestone.
Tron Lightcycle Power Run (also known as TRON Lightcycle / Run) is a semi-enclosed launched steel motorbike roller coaster attraction at Shanghai Disneyland and an upcoming attraction at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. Based on the Tron franchise, the attraction takes guests on a ride through the Grid on their own light cycle.
The Magic Kingdom version of the attraction was originally scheduled to open for Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary in Fall 2021, but the opening date has been delayed to 2022, during the 18 months of the 50th celebration. It was first announced at the D23 Expo on July 15, 2017, as part of the unveiling of 23 improvements to Disney Parks, including 4 new rides across the theme parks.
The Magic Kingdom version's official name was revealed as the Tron Lightcycle Run.
The attraction's motorbike-styled vehicles were created by Walt Disney Imagineering as a method of specializing individual rider experience. The ride was then given a Tron-theme because the ride vehicles resembled the light cycles featured in the Tron franchise. When aboard the ride vehicle, riders lean forward and grip a set of handlebars. A pad situated behind the seat secures the rider in place.

Disney MGM Studios Theme Park Opening Television Commercial (1989)
Disney's Hollywood Studios is a theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida, near Orlando. It is owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company through its Parks, Experiences, and Products division. Based on a concept by Marty Sklar, Randy Bright, and Michael Eisner, the park opened on May 1, 1989, as the Disney-MGM Studios (Theme) Park, and was the third of four theme parks built at Walt Disney World. Spanning 135 acres (55 ha), the park is dedicated to the imagined worlds of film, television, music, and theatre, drawing inspiration from the Golden Age of Hollywood.
Disney's Hollywood Studios was initially developed as both a theme park inspired by show business and an operating production studio, with active film and television production services, and animation facility branch and a functioning backlot. Construction on the combined park and studio began in 1987 but was accelerated when the construction of the similarly-themed Universal Studios Florida began a few miles away. To increase public interest and the variety of film representation within the park, Disney entered into a licensing agreement with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, from which the park's original name was derived. The park's production facilities were removed throughout the 2000s, and many of the park's soundstages were retrofitted for newer attractions and guest use. The park's current name took effect in 2008, with the removal of the MGM branding throughout the park. In the 2010s, the park began to distance itself from the original studio backlot intention and entered a new direction of immersive theming and attraction development inspired by Hollywood stories.
The park's icon was originally the Earffel Tower from the park's opening until 2001 when the Sorcerer's Hat—a stylized version of the magical hat from Fantasia—was erected in the park's central hub. It then served as the park's icon until its removal in January 2015. In 2018, the park hosted 11.258 million guests, ranking it the fifth most-visited theme park in North America and the ninth most-visited theme park in the world.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (often shortened to the TMNT or Ninja Turtles) are a fictional superhero quartet of teenage anthropomorphic turtle ninja[a] that appear in a self-titled franchise consisting of comic books, animated children's cartoons, feature films, and other tie-in products.
The Wizard of Oz is a 1939 American musical fantasy film produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Often seen as one of the greatest films of all time, it is the most commercially successful adaptation of L. Frank Baum's 1900 children's fantasy novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Roger Rabbit is a fictional animated anthropomorphic rabbit character.
The Muppets are an ensemble cast of puppet characters known for an absurdist, burlesque, and self-referential style of variety-sketch comedy. Created by Jim Henson in 1955, they are the namesake of the Disney-owned media franchise that encompasses television, film, music, and other media associated with the characters.
Carol Creighton Burnett (born April 26, 1933) is an American actress, comedian, singer, and writer, whose career spans seven decades of television. She is best known for her groundbreaking comedy variety show, The Carol Burnett Show, which originally aired on CBS. It was one of the first of its kind to be hosted by a woman.
Star Tours was a motion simulator attraction at several Disney theme parks, based on the successful Star Wars film series created by George Lucas. Set in the Star Wars universe, the attraction sent guests on an excursion trip to Endor, whilst being caught in an altercation between the New Republic and an Imperial Remnant. The attraction featured Captain "Rex" RX-24 along with series regulars R2-D2 and C-3PO.

Rugrats and Blue's Clues Videotape 90s TV Commercial (1999)
Rugrats is an American animated television series created by Arlene Klasky, Gábor Csupó, and Paul Germain for Nickelodeon. The show focuses on a group of toddlers most prominently—Tommy, Chuckie, Angelica, and twins Phil and Lil—and their day-to-day lives, usually involving life experiences that become much greater adventures in the imaginations of the main characters.
The series premiered on August 11, 1991, as the second Nicktoon—after Doug and before The Ren & Stimpy Show, with an initial installment of 65 episodes spanning three seasons. Production was then halted in 1993 with the last episode airing on May 22, 1994. From 1995 to 1996, the only new episodes broadcast were "A Rugrats Passover" and "A Rugrats Chanukah", two Jewish-themed episodes that received critical acclaim. During this time, after the end of the show's production run, Rugrats began to receive a boost in ratings and popularity due to constant reruns on Nickelodeon.
In 1996, Klasky Csupo Animation began producing new episodes, and the show's fourth season began in 1997. As a result of the show's popularity, a series of theatrical films were released over the next five years: The Rugrats Movie, which introduced Tommy's younger brother Dil, was released in 1998; Rugrats in Paris: The Movie, which introduced Kimi, Kira, and Fifi, was released in 2000; and Rugrats Go Wild, a crossover film with another Klasky Csupo series, The Wild Thornberrys, was released in 2003. The final TV episode aired on August 1, 2004, bringing the series to a total of 172 episodes over nine seasons. The 13-year run (with the 2-year break) ties Rugrats with King of the Hill as one of the eighth-longest-running American animated television series. The show is Nickelodeon's third longest-running animated series, behind SpongeBob SquarePants and The Fairly OddParents. It is one of the longest-running animated series of all time.
Blue's Clues is an American live-action children's television series that premiered on Nickelodeon as part of its Nick Jr. block on September 8, 1996. Producers/creators Angela Santomero, Todd Kessler, and Traci Paige Johnson combined concepts from child development and early-childhood education with innovative animation and production techniques that helped their viewers learn. The show was originally hosted by Steve Burns, who left in 2002 and was replaced by Donovan Patton as Joe for the rest of the series. The show follows an animated blue-spotted dog named Blue as she leaves a trail of clues/paw prints for the host and the viewers to figure out her plans for the day. Blue's Clues became the highest-rated show for preschoolers on American commercial television and was critical to Nickelodeon's growth. A spin-off called Blue's Room premiered in 2004. A revival of the series titled Blue's Clues & You! premiered in November 2019.
The show's producers and creators presented the material in a narrative format instead of the more traditional magazine format, used repetition to reinforce its curriculum, and structured every episode the same way. They used research about child development and young children's viewing habits that had been conducted in the thirty years since the debut of Sesame Street in the U.S. and revolutionized the genre by inviting their viewers' involvement. The research was part of the creative and decision-making process in the production of the show and was integrated into all aspects and stages of the creative process. Blue's Clues was the first cutout animation series for preschoolers in the United States and resemble a storybook in its use of primary colors and its simple construction paper shapes of familiar objects with varied colors and textures. Its home-based setting is familiar to American children but has a look, unlike other children's TV shows. A live production of Blue's Clues, which used many of the production innovations developed by the show's creators, toured the U.S. starting in 1999. As of 2002, over 2 million people had attended over 1,000 performances.

The parade is directed by Emmanuel Lenormand and designed by Olivier Dusautoir and Jody Daily. Daily previously worked on the Happiness is Here! parade at Tokyo Disneyland and Mickey's Soundsational Parade in Disneyland.
Discover the Magic: The opening unit features Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Chip 'n' Dale, and Pluto wearing retrofuturistic costumes. NBC Network Bumpers Station IDs Introductions Logo Animations Movies 1970 - mid 80s
The National Broadcasting Company (NBC) is an American English-language commercial broadcast television and radio network owned by Comcast. The network is headquartered at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City, with additional major offices near Los Angeles (at 10 Universal City Plaza), and Chicago (at the NBC Tower). Along with ABC and CBS, NBC is one of the traditional "Big Three" American television networks. NBC is sometimes referred to as the "Peacock Network", in reference to its stylized peacock logo, introduced in 1956 to promote the company's innovations in early color broadcasting; it became a part of the network's official emblem in 1979 before being modified to its current form in 1986.
Founded in 1926 by the Radio Corporation of America (RCA), then owned by General Electric (GE), NBC is the oldest major broadcast network in the United States. In 1932, GE was forced to sell RCA and NBC as a result of antitrust charges. In 1986, control of NBC passed back to GE through its $6.4 billion purchase of RCA. GE immediately began to liquidate RCA's various divisions but retained NBC. After the acquisition by GE, Bob Wright became chief executive officer of NBC and would remain in that position until his retirement in 2007, when he was succeeded by Jeff Zucker.
In 2003, French media company Vivendi merged its entertainment assets with GE, forming NBC Universal. Comcast purchased a controlling interest in the company in 2011 and acquired General Electric's remaining stake in 2013. Following the Comcast merger, Zucker left NBCUniversal and was replaced as CEO by Comcast executive Steve Burke.
NBC has thirteen owned-and-operated stations and nearly 200 affiliates throughout the United States and its territories, some of which are also available in Canada and/or Mexico via pay-television providers or in border areas over the air; NBC also maintains brand licensing agreements for international channels in South Korea and Germany.

Farnsworth TV & Pioneer Museum 4K Virtual Tour Rigby Idaho (2021)
Did you know the television was invented in Idaho?
The Philo T. Farnsworth TV & Pioneer Museum is part of the Jefferson County Historical Society (JCHS). It is a membership organization with a Board of Directors committed to collecting and preserving the history of Jefferson County - its communities and people. Organized in 1975, it merged with the Farnsworth TV Pioneer Museum on July 7, 1993. On September 25, 1993, JCHS opened in its current location.
It features 14,000 square feet of exhibitions from the pre-electric and early electric era, the history of Jefferson County, and early photography. The first television tube, Indian artifacts, ancient Egyptian artifacts from biblical days, and animal trophies are on display. It also features local writers such as Vardis Fisher, who wrote Mountain Man, which was made into a movie with Robert Redford called “Jeremiah Johnson.”
For more than thirty years, the building operated as Bond Motel and then for a short time as a small mall with various shops and an arcade. The city acquired the building when the venture went bankrupt. The building was transformed into a museum through the efforts of countless businesses and individuals and was funded through numerous donations and grants. Renovations were largely made by St. Anthony inmate work crews. The building is owned by the City of Rigby and is leased for a token amount to the Museum.
The museum receives no funding from Jefferson County and only a small contribution from the City of Rigby. There is no paid staff. All museum workers are volunteers. Operations are funded through donations and entrance fees. To continue our existence for future generations, we need a renewed commitment from the community and your assistance! Make a difference -- donate, become a member of the Jefferson County Historical Society, volunteer.

Philo Taylor Farnsworth (August 19, 1906 – March 11, 1971) was an American inventor and television pioneer. He made many crucial contributions to the early development of all-electronic television. He is best known for his 1927 invention of the first fully functional all-electronic image pickup device (video camera tube), the image dissector, as well as the first fully functional and complete all-electronic television system. Farnsworth developed a television system complete with receiver and camera—which he produced commercially through the Farnsworth Television and Radio Corporation from 1938 to 1951, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
In later life, Farnsworth invented a small nuclear fusion device, the Farnsworth–Hirsch fusor, employing inertial electrostatic confinement (IEC). Like all fusion devices, it was not a practical device for generating nuclear power, although it provides a viable source of neutrons. The design of this device has been the inspiration for other fusion approaches, including the Polywell reactor concept. Farnsworth held 300 patents, mostly in radio and television.

Complete Original Double Dare Show Soundtrack 29 Music Tracks (1986–1993)
Double Dare is an American television game show in which two teams compete to win cash and prizes by answering trivia questions and completing messy stunts known as physical challenges. It originally ran from 1986 to 1993. A revival ran in 2000, and the most recent revival ran from 2018 to 2019.
Hosted by Marc Summers, the program originally premiered on Nickelodeon on October 6, 1986, as its first game show. The series saw many adjustments in scheduling and titling throughout its run. Almost immediately after its debut, Double Dare had more than tripled viewership for Nickelodeon's afternoon lineup, becoming the most-watched original daily program on cable television. The program was a major success for Nickelodeon, helping to establish the network as a major player in cable television and to revitalize the genre of game shows for children. Double Dare remains Nickelodeon's longest-running game show. In January 2001, TV Guide ranked the show number 29 on its list of 50 Greatest Game Shows.
A continuation for syndication premiered on February 22, 1988, later revamped as Super Sloppy Double Dare on January 22, 1989. The program also had a short run on Fox as Family Double Dare, airing from April 3 to July 23, 1988. Nickelodeon continued Family Double Dare, premiering a new version on October 6, 1990. The original series ended on February 6, 1993. The series was revived, hosted by Jason Harris, and titled Double Dare 2000; this aired from January 22 to November 10, 2000. A second revival of the series, hosted by Liza Koshy and featuring Marc Summers, aired from June 25, 2018, to December 20, 2019.
Many obstacles have appeared in the course rotation, often based on body parts, food, and enlarged items found in daily life. Popular elements of the obstacle course have included The One-Ton Human Hamster Wheel, an oversized hamster wheel; Pick It, a giant human nose with a flag hidden inside; The Sundae Slide, a chocolate-covered ramp leading to a playground slide with ice cream at the bottom; and Gum Drop, which required contestants to leap into a giant gumball machine filled with plastic balls and slide out through the dispensing hatch at the bottom.
Theme music composer - Edd Kalehoff (1986–93, 2018–19)
Edward Woodley Kalehoff Jr. (born September 1, 1945) is an American television composer who specializes in compositions for television, known for his work on the Moog synthesizer. Kalehoff composed the musical themes to the game shows The Price Is Right and the Nickelodeon game show Double Dare, as well as for ABC World News Tonight and Monday Night Football.

New Nighttime Spectacular ‘Disney Enchantment’ Inspires Guests to Find the Magic in Themselves
HIGHLIGHT REEL with instrumental music.
Spreading magic across the sky, over a castle and down a bustling street, the new “Disney Enchantment” nighttime spectacular debuts Oct. 1, 2021, at Magic Kingdom Park. This dazzling new show helps kick off “The World’s Most Magical Celebration,” an 18-month event in honor of the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort.
“Disney Enchantment” adds its own new chapter to the storied 50-year history of nighttime entertainment at Magic Kingdom in a breathtaking spectacle of Disney music, stunning fireworks, enhanced lighting and immersive projection effects that extend for the first time from Cinderella Castle down Main Street, U.S.A. It plays out above and around guests in ways never experienced before at The Most Magical Place on Earth.
Inspiring everyone to believe in the magic that lives within them, “Disney Enchantment” features characters, moments and music from cherished films from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios. The show’s stirring soundtrack is anchored by an emotional original song, “You Are the Magic,” written and performed by multiple GRAMMY® winner Philip Lawrence, whose musical career began as a Disney cast member performing in Walt Disney World shows.
Cinderella Castle is aswirl in scenes of wonderment, thanks to state-of-the-art projection technology. Guests set sail across the sea with Moana, soar above the clouds on Aladdin’s magic carpet and more. These projections extend down Main Street, U.S.A., complementing the images on the castle while creating an entirely new immersive and expansive environment for Magic Kingdom.
Guests are invited to join dreamers like Princess Tiana from “The Princess and the Frog,” Miguel from Disney and Pixar’s “Coco,” Rapunzel from “Tangled” and brothers Ian and Barley from Disney and Pixar’s “Onward” as they set out on a journey beyond the ordinary to a magic land filled with adventure, wonder, empowerment and enchantment.
In one spectacular sequence, Joe Gardner from Disney and Pixar’s “Soul” brings guests with him into “the zone.” As he plays his piano, shimmering blue and purple lighting extends beyond the castle, transporting guests into a magical realm inspired by the art of Disney Legend Mary Blair. This dream-like space is filled with characters from Disney classics such as “Beauty and the Beast” and “Alice in Wonderland” to contemporary tales including “Wreck-It Ralph” and Disney and Pixar’s “Luca.”
Through it all, these heroes discover they have only to look within themselves to find the power to believe and make dreams come true, because the magic lived inside them all along. The journey builds to a crescendo as Tinker Bell takes flight and spreads shimmering gold pixie dust over the park, empowering everyone to believe in themselves and the magic all around them.

Beacon of Magic Spaceship Earth EPCOT Walt Disney World Resort
Beginning Oct. 1, 2021, Spaceship Earth transforms at night into a Beacon of Magic with new lights shining across the geodesic sphere’s reflective panels.* These lights connect to one another in a symbol of optimism resembling stars in a nighttime sky.
Walt Disney once said EPCOT “would always be in a state of becoming” as a place that changes with the times. The Walt Disney World Resort theme park is delivering on that promise in a whole new way as it continues the biggest transformation in its history, bringing the next generation of immersive storytelling to life through a plethora of new attractions and experiences.
Beginning Oct. 1, 2021, EPCOT will be unified with four neighborhoods that each speak to important aspects of the world and its people: World Showcase, World Celebration, World Nature and World Discovery. These neighborhoods are filled with new experiences rooted in authenticity and innovation that take guests to new destinations, where the real is made fantastic in a celebration of curiosity, discovery and the magic of possibility.
Spaceship Earth (also referred to as the Giant Golf Ball) is a dark ride attraction at the Epcot theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida. The geodesic sphere in which the attraction is housed has served as the symbolic structure of Epcot since the park opened in 1982.
The 15-minute ride takes guests on a time machine-themed experience, demonstrating how advancements in human communication have helped to create the future one step at a time. Riding in Omnimover-type vehicles along a track that spirals up and down the geodesic sphere, passengers are taken through scenes depicting important breakthroughs in communication throughout history—from the development of early language through cave paintings, to the use of hieroglyphs, to the invention of the alphabet, to the creation of the printing press, to today's modern communication advancements, including telecommunication and mass communication.
Since its 1982 opening, the ride has been updated three times—in 1986, 1994, and 2008. On February 25, 2020, the Disney Parks Blog announced that Spaceship Earth would be closing for refurbishment on May 26, 2020.
The structure is similar in texture to the United States pavilion from Expo 67 in Montreal but, unlike that structure, Spaceship Earth is a complete sphere, supported by three pairs of legs. The architectural design was conceived by Wallace Floyd Design Group. The structural designs of both Expo 67 and Spaceship Earth were completed by Simpson Gumpertz & Heger Inc. of Boston, Massachusetts.
Geometrically, Spaceship Earth is derived from the Class 2 geodesic polyhedron with frequency of division equal to 8. Each face of the polyhedron is divided into three isosceles triangles to form each point. In theory, there are 11,520 total isosceles triangles forming 3840 points. In reality, some of those triangles are partially or fully nonexistent due to supports and doors; there are actually only 11,324 silvered facets, with 954 partial or full flat triangular panels.
The appearance of being a monolithic sphere is an architectural goal that was achieved through a structural trick. Spaceship Earth is in fact two structural domes. Six legs are supported on pile groups that are driven up to 160 feet into Central Florida's soft earth. Those legs support a steel box-shaped ring at the sphere's perimeter, at about 30 degrees south latitude in earth-terms. The upper structural dome sits on this ring. A grid of trusses inside the ring supports two helical structures of the ride and show system. Below the ring, a second dome is hung from the bottom, completing the spherical shape. The ring and trusses form a table-like structure which separates the upper dome from the lower. Supported by and about three feet off the structural domes is a cladding sphere to which the shiny Alucobond panels and drainage system are mounted.
The cladding was designed so that when it rains, no water pours off the sides onto the ground. All water is collected through one-inch gaps in the facets into a gutter system, and the water is channeled into the World Showcase Lagoon.

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort returns Sept. 3 with frightfully fun experiences for guests of all ages through Oct. 31, 2021, with Halloween magic throughout Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. From transformed Halloween-themed attractions Haunted Mansion Holiday and Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark, to sightings of favorite Disney characters and villains, beloved seasonal décor including the Mickey Mouse jack-o’-lantern, and delightfully delicious treats, there is family-friendly fun for every ghoul or goblin to enjoy at the Disneyland Resort. Downtown Disney District gets in the spirit as well, from Sept. 9 through Oct. 31, with delightful décor, seasonal treats, and an all-new Halloween-themed pumpkin hunt, Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit.
Plaza de la Familia adds to the fun with an immersive, limited-time celebration at Disney California Adventure that celebrates the everlasting bonds of family. Guests will enjoy a spirited extravaganza that includes live entertainment, authentic décor, delicious food, and interactive experiences.
Guests encounter favorite Disney characters throughout Disneyland. On Main Street, U.S.A., Mickey and friends show off their Halloween finest with Minnie as a witch, Donald dressed as a pumpkin and the rest of their pals adding to the Halloween family-friendly fun. Other characters found throughout the park include dastardly Disney villains who have come out to cause some mischief.
Guests find festive seasonal décor and pumpkins galore to add to the Halloween magic. The Main Street Pumpkin Festival transforms Main Street, U.S.A., with whimsical pumpkins displayed in store fronts. Guests of all ages will enjoy taking photographs with the iconic giant Mickey Mouse jack-o’-lantern. As guests journey into the park, they find pumpkin statues representing Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Adventureland, Critter Country and Frontierland surrounding the Partners Statue in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.
Befitting the supernatural season, Haunted Mansion Holiday features a merry makeover of the beloved eerie estate. Jack Skellington is behind the mayhem, decorating the mansion with frightfully festive touches inspired by “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.” Dedicated fans of the holiday house look forward to spotting the annual bespoke gingerbread house on its precarious perch on the ballroom table, making its 20th appearance for this collision of two holidays. Other favorite sights await, including Sally, Zero and other characters from the movie.
And every night from Sept. 3 – Oct. 31, in Walt Disney’s original park, guests enjoy a dreadfully delightful treat in the form of “Halloween Screams”, a supernatural projection and special effects show. On weekend nights, “Halloween Screams” also takes to the skies to enhance the mischief with fireworks.*** Guests can view the spectacular from several different locations throughout the park, including Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle and near “it’s a small world.”
At Disney California Adventure Park
Oogie Boogie, from “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas,” looms over guests at the entrance to Disney California Adventure as he uses his magic to create a forever Halloween for everyone to enjoy. Under his spell, favorite attractions are transformed for the Halloween season. Guests will mosey on over to Cars Land as Radiator Springs becomes Radiator Screams, where residents decorate their homes with frights and are ready to greet guests in their “car-stumes” before they race off to go “trunk-or-treating.” Guests can continue the family-friendly fun by taking a spin on popular Cars Land attractions that rev up with Halloween spirit: Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree croons spooky songs to become Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree, and Luigi’s Rolickin’ Roadsters takes guests on a wicked whirl as it becomes Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween.
The façade of Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! sparks a state of total emergency as dusk approaches and the attraction is transformed into Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark, offering an exciting Halloween adventure filled with creepy creatures and thrilling drops. While the Guardians of the Galaxy have successfully escaped The Collector’s Fortress, Groot was accidentally left behind. Guests can successfully complete their rescue mission to save Groot by helping Rocket distract creatures from around the galaxy that have gotten loose. By teaming up with the Guardians, every guest can find their inner hero this Halloween season.
