I really think I inadvertently saved the best recipe for last. This is the 4th and final video in the Baking For The Holidays series. In this video I share with you a savory rather than a sweet. This yeast bread was so delicious I can't even express how good it was! It was so delicate and light and soft and fluffy....just YUM! And, best of all, it was not difficult to make, especially for those who are used to working with yeast dough. Take a look!

This is the 3rd recipe in the "Baking for the Holidays" series, taken from the Gooseberry Patch Christmas book. It seems that every recipe I try from this book just gets better and better. This cake is so rich and so decadent! It is a little more labor intensive, but it is perfect for a special occasion, holiday, or guests. Give it a try!

The other day I had a wonderful "Girl's Day Out" with my sister Becky, my niece Lydia, and my daughter Olivia. It was SO much fun! We went thrifting, went out for lunch, and went to a couple antique/thrift/second hand stores. It was such a blast and I hope we get to do it again soon. In this video I share with you the "treasures" that I was able to find during our afternoon out.

Staying on any kind of healthy eating plan during the Holidays is very difficult! This is also true for the Trim Healthy Mama plan. There are so many things to tempt me, and it has been a STRUGGLE! It was time to make a confession....and to make a plan!

Whew! This was a big grocery haul! It seems no matter how prepared you think you are for a holiday, there are always a ton of "last minute" things that you need to get! My haul from Krogers was moderate, but my Aldi haul was huge (with a huge bill!). I also stopped at Dollar Tree to stock up on some craft supplies, AND I share with you some super fun friend mail!

I don't know if you've been looking forward to watching my Christmas Home Decor Tour or not, but I've sure been looking forward to sharing it with you! I am so happy with how the decorations turned out this year! So, grab a warm drink, sit back and relax, and enjoy!

If you've been watching my channel for any amount of time, you know how much I LOVE creating dioramas. A couple of years ago I created a small diorama of what I imagined the house of a family of mice would look like out of a storybook. It started with a small figurine of a "mommy mouse" that I had purchased at the thrift store. I named the mouse "Molly". Since then Molly's house has grown and changed and become more elaborate. I find this hobby a wonderful creative outlet and extremely relaxing. I love changing the diorama for the different seasons and every season it grows a little larger and I add more and more to it. It has kind of become an obsession! LOL In this video I am changing over Molly's house from fall to Christmas. It was a blast to do and I hope it is a blast for you to watch!

In episode 2 of "Let's Bake for the Holidays", I make a delicious twist on the ordinary banana bread. This Gift of the Magi Bread is like a blinged out banana bread. It is loaded with rich, ooey-gooey goodness. If you like banana, chocolate chips, coconut, pecans, and MORE, you will love this bread!

This was a super busy, but fun day in the life! It was time for Olivia and my annual Christmas Cookie baking extravaganza! Not only am I sharing our cookies, I am sharing some of the Christmas cards that I've received so far, AND some extra special surprise friend mail! It was a super fun day....come on in and spend the day with me!

This is the 4th episode in my decorating for Christmas series. We will be wrapping up the series next week with my Christmas Home Decor Tour, so stay tuned for that! In this episode I will be doing some flower arranging with milk glass vases and some faux floral. I think it turned out beautifully! What do you think?

I have been SO in the mood to craft and create! I was inspired to take something that I had purchased several years ago, that was just sitting on a shelf, and transform it into something unique and SO adorable! Using items from my craft stash, a few purchases from Amazon, and some of Olivia's crochet creations, I had the most fun I've had in a LONG time! I have had a book in my bookshelf for years called Gooseberry Patch Christmas. I have looked through the book several times but have never made any of the recipes in it. This year I decided to try a few. I have chosen 4 recipes to try and have created a Holiday baking series, this is episode 1. We will be making and trying a different kind of cookie called Coffee Hermit Cookies.

It is time for the end of November grocery haul. I went to a couple more stores than usual this time. I made sure to get all the ingredients that Olivia and I will need for our Annual Christmas Cookie Baking Extravaganza. And, I picked up the cutest thing EVER at Dollar General. Not only have I been spending the last couple of weeks decorating for Christmas, I've been cleaning those "forgotten" areas. Well, in this video I will be tackling one of those areas...and boy, was it ever gross! It's amazing how dirty things can get when they are not at eye level. I am continuing my Christmas Decorating Series by creating a beautiful Woodland themed centerpiece for my family room coffee table. I thought about, worked on, rearranged, and tried multiple different things before I finally came up with the centerpiece that I was envisioning. After I had the rough draft I turned on the camera and filmed putting it together and I share with you my thought processes and where I got each element of the display. I think it turned out perfect. I hope you think so too.

Can you believe it's almost Thanksgiving?? I sure can't. In this haul I share with you what I picked up to prepare for the fast approaching Holiday. I'm sure there will be one final trip to the store for last minute items, but even if I wasn't able to get back to the store, this grocery haul fills in enough of the gaps to make turkey day extra special.

Olivia and I had a fabulous day! This was a day long time coming. We spent the afternoon hitting some of our favorite thrift/antique stores, plus we visited the brand new Goodwill store that just opened up in our town. I've got some big news!

In this video I share with you my beginning of November grocery haul. I went to Kroger, Aldi, JoAnn Fabrics, and Dollar General. Also, for those of you who live in areas that do not typically get fall colors, it is peak color here right now (a little past maybe as the leaves are really falling), so I videoed a little bit of the beautiful colors on the way home.
