This is a short video highlighting machining Subaru compatible adapter plates to facilitate the conversion from a 2011 to 2014 FB25 engine to a 2015 to 2018 FB25 engine without much hassle. The parts in this video are anodized blue after machining. Original Adapter Plates were not anodized. This video shows how to install custom TGV adapter plates for 2016 Subaru FB25 from a 2011 Subaru FB25 to accommodate for the different port shapes. Unfortunately, Joe missed one o-ring during assembly and didn't catch it, so he had to remove the timing chain cover and redo the whole assembly of the customer. Not surprisingly, it was A LOT quicker the 2nd time! Epic O-ring Redo on Subaru Conversion Unfortunately I had to redo the timing chain cover for my FB25 conversion because I forgot ONE o-ring. It dawned on me in the middle of the night and I had to go back the next day and redo the whole thing...that means take the engine back out, take the timing chain cover off, clean off all the sealant (lucky it wasn't super hard) - we talk about the sealant. After that, I had to re-assemble everything and put the engine back in the car.
