Prophecy Update 2009/2010; How Close Are We to the “Last Days”?
This video teaching was originally recorded on December 30, 2009. It is re-released here to assist the Christian wondering about the timing of the last days. Many reject the idea of the soon coming of Jesus because people have been naming dates of Jesus’ return for over a century. Obviously, they were wrong. Why were they wrong? Is it possible to know the season of Jesus second coming since He told us, “Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”? Luke 21:28 NKJV
Pastor Kevin answers these questions in a ways that are just as applicable today as they were in Dec 2009.

Deuteronomy 18:15-22; July 17, 2022; Him You Shall Hear!
This week, Pastor Kevin reviews God’s commands in Deuteronomy 18:9-14 to shun abominable occult practices using a contemporary example: a congregant testimony about a witch that lived for a time with her family in New Mexico.
Then, in Deuteronomy 18:15, Moses proclaims God’s promises to someday send another prophet like himself (Moses) Whom the people are to “hear” (listen and obey). New Testament scriptures prove that Jesus was “that prophet like Moses,” fulfilling this key messianic prophecy. Chapter 18 concludes with God’s warning about the false prophets who would come and gives the key instruction on how to identify them.

Deuteronomy 24:5-22; Sept 25, 2022; Children Are Not To Be Put To Death for the Sins of the Parents
This week, we look at the various civil laws in Deuteronomy 22:4-22, which address exemption from military service for newlywed men; laws that protect a person’s privacy and their ability to earn a living; and laws that prohibit oppression of the poor and provide opportunity for them to work for food; the death penalty for kidnapping, which restrained this evil practice in Jewish society. In contrast, today’s justice system is increasingly lax towards criminals, and human trafficking, especially of women and children, has become rampant in our land and throughout the world. Pastor Kevin shows how the law’s requirement to isolate the leprous person applies to us today, not just physically, but spiritually as well since leprosy typifies sin in the Bible. Of special note, Deuteronomy 22:16 clearly states that children are not to be held responsible for the sins of their parents. Pastor Kevin explains, with reference to other verses in the Old and new Testament, that this clear principle belies Augustine's doctrine of “original sin.”

Hebrews 6:1-15; Mar 12, 2023; Let Us Go on to Perfection
Today’s message covers one of the most often-misunderstood passages in the Bible, verses 1 through 15 of Hebrews Chapter 6. Pastor Kevin explains how important it is to understand the original audience of this epistle and its historical context in order to properly interpret this passage. The audience comprised Jews who had professed belief in Jesus but still clung to the religious traditions of Old Testament Judaism, including temple sacrifices. Pastor Kevin likens them to people today who have learned about God’s way of salvation through faith in Jesus and have professed belief but are unwilling to completely surrender to Jesus and acknowledge Him as the only way of salvation. Today, many refuse the narrow gate (Matthew 7:13), seeking instead the wide gate of compromise for the sake of a false unity. Pastor Kevin exhorts believers to diligently persevere in allegiance to His Name, Yeshua (God’s Salvation) and pleads with those who still have not trusted in Jesus to do so while there is still time. Difficult days may well lie ahead for believers until Jesus takes us home, but by enduring, we will obtain the promise, even as did Abraham.

James 2:14-26, Understanding Faith and Works
Today’s topical message addresses the roles of faith and good works in the life of the believer. Drawing on Scriptures that can seem self-contradictory, Pastor Dustin shows how these passages actually complement each other when taken in context and exhorts believers to make the most of every opportunity to work for Jesus while there is still time. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10 NKJV).

Exodus 17:8-16, God Will Utterly Blot Out Those Who Hate Israel
Continuing their journey from Egypt to the Promised Land, the Israelites encounter the Amalek people who come out to fight them in Rephidim. Pastor Kevin shows how the Amalekites and their descendants continued to threaten the Jewish people throughout their history. They are also a type of all peoples to the present day who are inspired by Satan to hate and strive to destroy the Jewish people, and only the complete destruction of Israel’s enemies will bring lasting peace. Although still future to us, we know that one day, God “will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven” (Exodus 17:14).

Duet 15:1-18, June 5, 2022; God’s Law provides Compassion to All
Deut 15:1-18, June 5, 2022, S-1491-DC
This study is guided to clarify some of the misconceptions and misunderstandings often applied to God’s Law in the Old Covenant.
When properly understood the fairness and compassion of God’s heart for not only His chosen Israel but the stranger and the foreigner too, leap off the page of God’s Word.
Some of the focal points taught in the study are The Lord’s Release which ensures quality of life for the servant, the widow, the orphan, and the foreigner. It also provides a stop gap for a man, whom with Godly discretion, is obligated to lend financially for a hardship and not be tempted into a sinful heart caused by greed. Generosity to the poor is a character trait expected to flow from the heart of man if that man is in correct communion with the True and Living God.
Another focal point is the relationship between a bondservant and his master. How God instructs the master to, by Law, allow freedoms in the life of the bondservant, to provide richly to the bondservant once released, and also a provision which assures a lifelong relationship between a bondservant and his master if love, care, and compassion are paramount between not only the two of them but the families as well.

Deuteronomy 19:14 – 20:20, July 31, 2022; He goes before us in battle
Deuteronomy 19-14 – 20-20, July 31, 2022, He goes before us in battle.
In this teaching we cover three important topics: Property Boundaries, The Law concerning witnesses, and Principles governing warfare.
God takes boundaries seriously. He has given land as an inheritance to Israel equipped with boundary lines and landmarks. These lines were given as a marker for each tribe to adhere to and were decided by casting lots. These lines were to be respected and not moved. Even today the world is trying to move the boundary lines of Israel’s promised land which will continue to cause a stir until Jesus comes back!
By two or three witnesses an accusation may be established. This law provided a safety net for man’s propensity to sin and accuse falsely. If a false accuser were found out then he must suffer the same fate as the accused. This shows God’s fairness in a matter and how serious He takes the offense to accuse a brother falsely.
God gave certain exemptions to the men of Israel when fighting battles. He shows His grace and understanding to His people. Likewise, He shows grace and understanding to His church when she fight’s her battles. We are to go in battle in His strength and not of our own. If God is for us, then who can be against us? As we stay tuned in to the Holy Spirit, we learn to let Him lead the way and fight our battles for us.

Deuteronomy 21:1-14, August 7, 2022; Provide Atonement O Lord, for Your People Israel
This week, Pastor Kevin expounds on God’s commands in Deuteronomy 21:1-14, which describe how the people are to deal with unsolved murders (v. 1-9) and how they are to treat women taken captive in war (v. 10-14). The time-consuming and costly process for dealing with unsolved murders highlights how much God hates the taking the life of men and women whom He
created in His image. How might our society be different if our leaders took murder as seriously as God does? The washing ceremony, to signify the cleansing and innocence of those who found the body, and sacrifice of a heifer to mark the spot of the slain person both point to Jesus, who was also slain to cleanse us from sin and dead works.
In stark contrast to the customs of that day, and to the present in many cases, God's law protected captive women from the horrible abuses of their conquerors, provided them time alone to mourn their losses, and then allowed them to marry the man and become part of the Jewish community.

Luke 16:13 – 31; July 3, 2022; They have Moses and the Prophets
S-495-KL
In this week's topical message, Pastor Kevin takes a break from our Deuteronomy study to reflect anew on the certain truth that one day, each one of us will die a physical death. As we were reminded last week, in the sudden passing of a beloved member in our church last week, our own death day could be any day, even today. In our passage today, we learn some important truths: for believers in Jesus, only what we do for the Lord in this life matters for eternity; for unbelievers, there is no opportunity to repent after you die. Those who reject Jesus will spend eternity in torment, separated from God for ever. Are you ready to die?

Deuteronomy 21:15-22:12, August 14, 2022, He Who is Hanged is Accursed of God.
This week, we look at the commands in Deuteronomy 21:15-22:12, which address inheritances, rebellious sons, hangings, and various other rules governing everyday life. Considering the cultural context and underlying purposes of these rules, we see how these laws benefited the Jewish people and how they apply to us today. Because of the Law, the Jewish people were miraculously preserved until the birth of Jesus, fulfilling God's promises to Abraham that all the world would be blessed through his family, and until the present day. Of special note, Pastor Kevin shows how Deuteronomy 21:23 applies to Jesus as explained in Galatians 3:11-14

Exodus 16:1-36, Jesus is the True Manna
Exodus 16 relates the familiar account of God’s provision of manna for the Israelites to sustain them on their journey from Egypt to the Promised Land. Pastor Dustin draws parallels between this physical “bread from heaven” (Exodus 16:4) and Jesus, the “true bread from heaven” (John 5:32, Whom God provided 1500 years later as our Salvation and Sustenance. As God tested the Israelites to see whether they would obey Him, so He tests believers today. May we obey God’s command to trust Him completely, even more so as the days grow darker until He comes.
