From stenciling, to heat treating, to polishing...it takes a lot of steps to go from a billet of metal to a full blown knife! We're proud of what we do. It's a lot of work but it's work worth doing.

Our single burner propane forge is back to work again. This time we're heat-treating our newest design of blades intended for utility use. These knives will have to reach very specific temperatures in order to be successfully heat-treated. Interested in our products? Bandsaw's are a huge help for this process. Its easy to control you cuts and depending on the saw you use the blades can be fairly inexpensive.

Sometimes you have to get creative with this stuff. It used to take me hours to clean all the little holes in the spikes and knives. The one day my husband said "Why don't you put that in a drill chuck?" Now I do that every time. Saves me so much time.

Putting the bevels on some of these blades can be a real show.

We don't usually get flare up like this but it does happen from time to time.
