KYOTO TACHIBANA SHS BAND - VIDEO CONTEST ORIGINAL MOVIE
In 2018 the Kyoto Tachibana S.H.S Band from Kyoto Japan auditioned, by video entry, to participate in the 2018 New Year Day - Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena California. They had the honor of representing Japan as both Kyoto Tachibana High School and under the banner of the Green Band Association (GBA).
The KT SHS Band was in California for a couple of weeks where they not only marched in the Rose Parade, but did several performances at multiple venues during their stay in the US.
Each year, the Rose Parade marching bands selected to participate in the Rose Parade are also invited to perform at the Tournament of Roses’s Bandfest. Over the course of two days, each marching band performs a field show that showcases their musicianship and unique talents. This annual tradition takes place at Pasadena City College and all are invited to attend this dynamic event.
In this year the Rose Parade Bandfest held a separate online contest in which all the participating bands (both high-school and university bands) could submit a video entry. Kyoto Tachibana S.H.S band received the highest votes amongst all the band entries and were awarded the Grand Champion Trophy and $2,500 prize.
This video is the entry submitted for the Banfest competition by the KT SHS Band.
ENJOY THESE ASTONISHING AND INCREDIBLE BRIGHT LIGHTS IN LIFE!!
