In this video I'm making sure my Gecko has a full tummy before dippin' outta my crib for a couple days. By removing the prey items from the food dish one at a time and making them easily noticeable, I can stimulate a feeding response. Many times I will lay them out like a trail of breadcrumbs, while Leopard Geckos do go in reverse they are not great at it. I like to witness my animals taking in a certain baseline of food and water in addition to whatever foods I have available for free feed.

I've given Princess Petunia 48 hours to dry out after her molt, and now it's time to let her test out the upgraded equipment. I like to let my animals out of their enclosures from time to time. It's a big thrill for us both, and it allows me to take some video with good lighting. She is pretty cute for someone who eats their prey alive one mouthful at a time.

I love this little guy, and it may sound weird, but I know he loves me back. I can see it in his eyes.

A Spiny Flower Mantis catching and eating a waxworm with some time-lapse footage. Notice how the Mantis uses aggressive mimicry to surprise her prey. A waxworm is probably unlikely to be climbing around on a plant, but flying insects including pollinators often investigate these beautiful creatures in hopes of a free meal.
