Troubleshooting and Fixing No Power Issue with the KC Cobra Kiddie Ride at Colonie Center Mall
I first started having problems with the K.C. Cobra Kiddie Ride (R7548) at Colonie Center Mall around August 26, 2021. The ride had no power for some reason. I used a continuity checker to verify that there was still power at the mall receptacle to rule that out as a possible problem. After spending a lot of time troubleshooting and tracing the wiring on this kiddie ride, I finally found out that the problem was a faulty timer in the ride that had stopped working. After removing the timer and bypassing it, the ride started working again, at least for a little while anyways.
I went back to the mall for something else a few days later and noticed that the K.C. Cobra Ride was down again with no power! I spent more time trying to troubleshoot what was wrong with it through September and October, including meeting up with my Regional Manager at the time to have him help me try to figure out what was wrong with this kiddie ride. We finally narrowed it down to it must be a problem internally with the EMI Filter/Fuse/Switch box at the back of the ride along the frame where the power cable plugs into it from the mall power.
So, I contacted CTM Group, Inc. Technical Support and ordered a new EMI Filter/Fuse/Switch box for the K.C. Cobra ride. Once I got the replacement EMI Filter/Fuse/Switch box from CTM, I then had to transfer over the original wiring harness and Molex connector from the old EMI Filter/Fuse/Switch box to the new one so I could plug it back into the power supply cable in the ride.
But, the saga doesn't end there! It turns out that for some reason, the new EMI Filter/Fuse/Switch box that CTM Group sent me wouldn't fit into the original mounting hole in the frame of the kiddie ride! The new box was just slightly wider than the original box and I couldn't get it to fit in the original mounting location!
After facing numerous obstacles and plot twists over several months, can I get the K.C. Cobra Kiddie Ride working again? Watch this video to the end to find out what happens...

Problems with the Plucky Ducky Crane RC432 at Via|Port Rotterdam Mall - 02/11/2022
I noticed that Mall Maintenance had put an "Out of Service" sign on the Plucky Ducky Crane Game on the kiddie ride platform at the Via|Port Rotterdam Mall in Schenectady, NY. So, I did some testing on it to see what the problem was with the crane. It looks like the claw solenoid is bad in it and not working properly, so I will need to order a replacement claw head unit to replace the faulty one in this machine.

Pet City at Colonie Center Mall - January 30, 2022
I was working at Colonie Center Mall on Sunday, January 30, 2022 servicing my vending machines and I had just finished up collecting from the photo booth down by the Barnes and Noble and Macy's when I started hearing this weird noise coming from the other end of the mall by the Macy's. So, I started walking down towards Macy's to investigate what was causing all the noise. I know from working at this mall for several years now that there is a pet store down at that end of the mall just off to the side of the entrance to Macy's, so I figured that had to be from where the noise was coming.
Now, as I mentioned, I have been working in Colonie Center Mall for years, often late at night after the mall and all of the stores are officially closed. In all my years of working there, I NEVER recall hearing noises like these coming from the pet store there at the mall. I'm assuming that this pet store routinely has puppies for sale there, but I have never heard any puppies yelping and whining like this before whenever I have been working in the mall. So, I'm thinking something had to be wrong for these puppies to be yelping, whimpering, and carrying on like this.
It looks to me like someone left a bowl of dog food on top of the "puppy aquarium" where these two puppies were being kept. Did an employee forget to feed these two puppies before they closed the store and left for the day? Were the puppies crying and yelping for attention because they were hungry? I'm not sure what happened that evening, but it certainly looked to me like these puppies were distraught over something. After filming this, I talked to one of the security guards in the mall about it, but it seemed like there wasn't really anything he could do about it. I'm guessing the security guards don't have keys to access the gates for the individual stores? The guard just kind of shrugged it off and said whoever opens the pet store on Monday morning will have to deal with it.
What do you think happened? What would you have done if you were in this situation? Let me know in the comments below!

Microphone Audio Comparison - Corsair Void Elite Gaming Headset vs RODE Stereo VideoMic
Microphone test comparing the recorded sound quality between the Corsair Void Elite Surround Premium Gaming 3.5mm Wired Headset with 7.1 [Simulated] Surround Sound and the RØDE Stereo VideoMic X/Y On-Camera Condenser Microphone.
I realize that this isn't really that useful of a comparison since a gaming headset isn't really a substitute for a professional microphone, but I just thought that I'd see how good the built-in microphone is on a $80 gaming headset compared to an expensive $250 professional condenser microphone.
