How to Connect a Retro Console to an AV-to-HDMI Converter and Capture Card to Livestream
Have you wondered how to connect your retro console to a modern TV so you can livestream? Well look no further because I've got the hook-up for your hook-up problem. In this video you'll learn how to use an AV-to-HDMI converter to convert your old signal to HDMI. Then you'll route that signal into a capture card (Elgato HD60X in this case) so you can run that into streaming software for the purposes of livestreaming or game capturing (in this case, OBS). I hope this helps, enjoy!

Nintendo DSi Shoulder-Button Repair
In this video I attempt to repair a shoulder button on a Nintendo DSi that is not retracting after being clicked. The button stays engage which causes problems playing games that use that button. I open the console up and do what I can. *Note* parts of this video had to be re-shot since the first time I opened it I actually worked on the opposite shoulder button. Some things were lost in the process and the edits may not have the best flow.* I hope this helps is you need to fix your DSi shoulder button.

Nintendo Switch Joycon Drift Repair
Does your Nintendo Switch Joycon drift? Come with me on an adventure of repair to alleviate your despair! In this video I open up a drifty right-joycon and even though I mess up at first I'm able to get back into it and have good results. It's a bit of a long video but stick with it and you'll learn what to-do and what not to-do. Here's a break-down of the video:
00:00 - 01:41 Intro
01:42 - 04:26 Opening the joycon
04:26 - 05:50 Removing the Joystick
05:58 - 06:47 Opening the joystick case
06:48 - 08:00 Result of first try (FAIL)
08:00 - 13:45 2nd attempt w/cleaning and disassembly
13:45 - 16:40 Reassembling the joystick case
16:41 - 17:13 Putting the joystick case back in place
17:14 - 18:19 Measuring the joystick case and placing the paper backing
18:20 - 18:59 Reassembling the joycon
19:00 - 22:16 Final result (SUCCESS!)
I hope this is helpful and entertaining. In hindsite, I would recommend you try the paper backing first before you disassemble the joystick case. Otherwise, if you really have to now you know how to do it and what not to screw up (like I did). Enjoy!

Nintendo Gamecube Laser Potentiometer Repair
I found another Nintendo Gamecube that wasn't reading discs. I had already done a video on how to repair these but I didn't use a multimeter to check the potentiometer (pot). I decided to do that in this video and show you the reading. The correct resistance for a working Gamecube laser (or motor, if you will) is between 150 ohms and 250 ohms. Stay tuned for what the number was for this one to work.
By the way, I skipped over the disassembly part of this process. If you want to see me do that then watch this other Gamecube repair video I also have here on Rumble:
https://rumble.com/v2x6aqo-nintendo-gamecube-laser-repair-adventures.html
Also, I the potentiometer range from this video here on Rumble. Make sure you give him some love for his perspective:

Thanks for watching, I hope this helps!

Bill Hybels Sermon: Easter 2013
Here's a sermon that Bill Hybels gave at Willow Creek Community Church back for Easter of 2013. The first 7 minutes are of people telling their story. It works when you're watching the video but as strictly audio it doesn't work very well. I don't know how to crop that out so feel free to jump forward. Here's the time breakdown:
00:00 Guests share their stories
07:17 Sermon Starts
42:37 Sermon pause/guests speak again
45:20 Hybels speaks again
*DISCLAIMER* Bill Hybels got in trouble for sexually harassing a subordinate. He was subsequently investigated and booted from Willow Creek Community Church. That being said, he was a great preacher and this is one of his sermons that I was able to download before it was removed from their website. In light of what he's done I hope this sermon is beneficial to you. Enjoy!

In this video I'll repair a Sega Dreamcast that has a controller port that will not recognize a controller. I had previously addressed this issue in another video using alcohol and ear-swabs. I tried that method with this Dreamcast but it did not work. So I decided to get into the board and change the fuse that gives power to the controller board. Enjoy!

Gameboy Advance SP Power Switch Repair
I picked up a Gameboy Advance SP that was having issues with the power switch; namely that it wouldn't power on it switched on normally but would power on if you played with the switch while in the "on" position. It would also turn off while in the "on" position. I found out how to service it. Check out this video if you have a GBA with a power switch issue.

Sega Dreamcast Repair Vol 3: How to Check the GD-ROM Potentiometer Reading
This isn't really a repair video but it will help if you're having issues with the GD-ROM. In particular, you can use a multimeter to check the reading on the GD-ROM. I checked the potentiometer of the Sega Dreamcast that I repaired in my other Dreamcast Repair Video. This is a short one but has valuable information.
Here's the video where I repaired the Top/Lid sensor on a Sega Dreamcast:

Sega Dreamcast Repair Vol 2: Disc Error Fix via Top/Lid Sensor
It's another repair video for the Sega Dreamcast. In this video I diagnose a disc read error because of the top/lid and the sensor that it's supposed to activate. There are several methods to address this issue so I went through a few of the less-invasive ones before having to resort to tearing the console apart to get to the door sensor. This is a long video so I'll include some time stamps so you can jump around in you need:
00:00 Intro
00:51 Diagnosis
02:28 Lid disassembly
04:13 No-lid test
05:29 Alcohol-on-lid-sensor Method
07:45 Alcohol-on-lid-sensor method test
09:04 Lid adjustment Method
10:13 Lid adjustment method test
11:05 Book on lid Method
12:10 Lid assessment
13:17 Lid-tape Method
14:49 Lid-tape method test
15:38 GD-ROM Screw removal
16:56 Power-pack removal
18:33 GD-ROM Removal and disassembly
24:38 Lid-sensor disassembly
26:04 Lid-sensor cleaning
27:58 Lid-sensor spring oopsie
29:53 Lid-sensor spring oopsie correction
31:32 Lid-sensor reassembly
34:50 GD-ROM reassembly
39:24 Power-pack reassembly
41:00 Final test and End Result
It took me a long time do conduct this repair and to do all the editing. I hope it helps you if you've run across a Sega Dreamcast that is giving you a disc read error. This is one method to correct that error. There's another way, but that's a video for another day. Enjoy!

Sega Dreamcast Repair Vol 1: Cleaning the Controller Port
In this video I have a Sega Dreamcast Controller that doesn't work. There's a simple method to try IF your controller isn't working AND the controller port is full-functioning. If this method doesn't work for your controller then either the controller is bad or the controller port needs repair. At the very least you will have eliminated one possibility. Enjoy!
