Jesus went to paradise. Where was that? Not in heaven... He told Mary at the tomb not to touch Him, because He hadn't yet ascended to the Father. But He promised the repentant thief on the cross TODAY thou shalt be with me in PARADISE.

But wait a minute... why would He be coming here if we're all supposed to be dwelling in heaven with Him?

Heaven is not the reward for the believer. Everlasting life on a new earth is the reward.

What was Lucifer's boast in Isaiah 14?

Without fail the first verse people will cite is 2 Corinthians 5:6-9 and I guarantee you they get it wrong. 6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

This is the truth. Centuries of misleading teaching has made "going to heaven" a commonly accepted thing, but it's found nowhere in the Bible.
