An Awakened World
A big thank you to Patriots everywhere holding the space for people to wake up. It feels like its been a long time. An Awakened World was written awhile ago, but I've just remade the video to post on Truth Social. The song lyrics were inspired by a Hopi elder in a quote that circulated years ago; “There is a river flowing now very fast. It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid. They will try to hold on to the shore. ... The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open, and our heads above water.”

Sweet Forgiveness
Many of us are challenged by the idea of forgiveness because some of the things that happen to us feel really hard to forgive. The reality is that other people are often careless, thoughtless or cruel. That being said, forgiveness is not something we do for them. It is something we do for ourselves, when we can. Feeling our feelings, stating our needs and remembering to breathe can help the forgiveness process. It is up to us to take off the burdens we put on ourselves and the burden of non forgiveness, for both self and others is a weighty one. Forgiveness for ourselves is needed when we keep replaying the times in our lives where we fell short or we fell down. We can choose to lay down our regrets and put our troubles to rest. We can choose to allow forgiveness to be sweet.

Rising Star
We live in trying times in a world that sometimes seems upside down. Perhaps it truly is an optical illusion. Many are waking up to truth. We can help one another rise from the ashes and shine like the stars we are inside.

I'll Take it From Here
This is a song I wrote for my mother on December 16, 2017, one week before she died after a long struggle with Alzheimer's Disease. “I hope I hear your voice, from the other side: that you continue to guide me with your words so strong and wise.” “Bless the endless cycles of grandmothers, mothers, daughters: the babes we make our entrance as, the women we become.”

Waxing and Waning
These past few years have been challenging. In March of 2020- I wrote the lyrics.. "We were always meant to be connected and free to shape things into form. So let's take a deep breath and rebuild the world into a bold new dawn after the storm." I thought at the time, "things" would happen a lot sooner... We are still "Waxing and Waning".. AND I have great hopes for the coming days. Here's a snippet of what those words became.

I'll Take it From Here
A song for those who have lost their mothers. When my mother was ending her journey with dementia and had just days to live, I wrote this song in honor of her, Barbara Winzeler, to remind myself that I carried her DNA and had gifts to give the world that she had made possible by being my mother and bringing me into this world.

I'll Take it From Here
My mother passed on her 89th birthday after several years of struggling with Alzheimer's disease. As her time grew closer, I felt the need to express my deep gratitude of having had the experience of being her daughter. This song was the result of that inquiry.

What If? 432 HZ
Crystal bowls, guitar and vocals shine in this song of possibility written by Gayle Leary and Bentley Kalaway. The lyrics and melody open us up to what can happen when we believe in our dreams enough to follow them; to give ourselves the time and space to unfold our stories of potentiality, to ask ourselves "What If?" We Are The Ones
We are each called to assist humanity in a way that is unique to us.. More importantly, our purpose must be remembered. This song runs contrary to MSM narrative of powerlessness being forced upon all of us.
“The time to heal our world has come.” That is really hard to argue with. “In our hearts, we know we are the ones,” is more personal. Only individuals can wake up to what this might mean in their own lives. We can’t be the ones if we aren’t aware that we came here to be the ones.

Waxing and Waning
Written in March of 2020, by singer/songwriter Bentley Kalaway, "Waxing and Waning" absolutely captures the essence of the precipice we seemed to be standing on. The lyrics tell the story of the hope beyond the isolation, how we as humans are meant to be connected and to thrive. This song describes how the days of early Covid tested our faith; the waxing and waning of discovering the Truths underlying our experience.

An Awakened World
Many of us are praying that the people of the world will wake up to the Truth of what is happening all around us. These song lyrics were inspired by a Hopi elder in a quote that circulated many years ago; “There is a river flowing now very fast. It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid. They will try to hold on to the shore. ... The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open, and our heads above water.” Perhaps they were pointing to this time. May we come together and support each other in creating An Awakened World.
