A mellow night
Had a pretty smooth vibe with this one, no struggles just on the ground a little bit a traffic but things were moving quite a long so it was good.

Quirky Cover
This the second time I've seen this where the hatch cover has to be picked up using the gears instead of just locking in the covers itself.
what I noticed is that the after side hangs off the cover which is in line with guide that the hatch cover goes between; it's like 2" higher so the spreader doesn't get the signal to lock.
I could however lock into the land side cover. The Fix for that would be installing 20ft size deck space for it to be a easier and I think safer to remove.

So because the boxes weren't perfectly placed it kinda took me a little bit not my usual speed.

Quick discharge
try to land the covers on the other bay but that didn't work out so I put them on the ground instead. The O.O.G (over-hanging-cargo) wasn't ready so I continued discharging, the twistlock bin was also in the way so I had to get crafty and use the container to get it out the way bit. (no damage was done)
after a while it was time to remove the first Flat Racks then it was onto the O.O.G, got that out the way and kept cracking until dawn.

How vehicles are load on a ship
This is a short clip of how cars are loaded on a ship, these type of vessels are called RoRo (Roll on-Roll off) as the name implies.
in another video I'll show you how we load them onto a ship.

Finishing up the triples and now on to the double ups. I later cleared everything on deck and continued with the same process.

Blind sided
Already removed one but the second one was out of my view to the forward, after locking into it I spun around and dropped it on the starboard cover in one go.
pretty neat huh

A short one.... literally
Just a quick 20ft loading in a the cell guide which in this case is usually easy once you have had full control.

Pushing as hard as I can (Liebherr Crane)
Can imagine how long it would have taken me to complete this ship if I didn't prop the crane further away to utilize the space for discharge and loading.
The sense of accomplishment when everything runs smoothly is unparalleled.

On and Off
On and Off
took me about 4 of these flat racks just to get in the groove of handling this little giant, you have to know what you're doing to see the chaos before it happens.
if you look closely at the hook block I wasn't steady it was going crazy. I still did everything safely though.

Raining on the job
A little rain is always welcome when loading, it gives a sense calm awe when at any moment things can go south.

Automatic Twist locks
Just a quick dash of boxes of the ole ship with this monster. Still it takes skill and mental toughness to stay focus without causing accidents.

What I thought vs reality
clearing the deck and watching the hatch cover roll up to my surprise 20fts on the forward side were higher than the after which I haven't seen before.
I was told it was all 20s and in my head I thought easy peezy right NOPE! it always sounds good on paper until you get onto the ship.
The actual audio got corrupted unfortunately.

Counterweights on top!
So on this a floating dry it had two cranes Portside and Starboard, we had the pleasure of getting their counterweights fitted. I believe the lightest one was 20tons and basically all of the boom was used. "

Twistlock and Stacking Cone
This is what locks and locates the each container on a ship in a secured space, whether on deck or down the hold
The first one is the stacking cone mainly used below deck and the other is the automatic lug which doesn't require it to be manually unlocked.
