FOSSA - Deadly Carnivorous Cat From Madagascar
The fossa is one of the most formidable carnivores in the country of Madagascar. It is active during the day and the night in the forests in which it resides, both in the trees and on the ground. The animal is very good at climbing trees and hunting. It is also a skilled hunter. It effortlessly moves up and down the trees as well as along the branches. It is also capable of moving quickly across the land.
There was a time when people believed that the fossa was some kind of cat. Despite possessing a body with various traits that are similar to cats and a muzzle that is similar to dogs, researchers have finally concluded that it is connected to mongooses. Madagascar is the only place in the wild where fossa can be found. The population of the animal is considered to be in a fragile state by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), which attributes this status to the animal's habitat being destroyed or severely fragmented. If nothing is done to reduce the number of causes that are hurting the population size of these animals, they will most likely become extinct.

BASKING SHARK - Deadly Shark or Gentle Giant?
Despite their fearsome look and vast size, which startle neighboring swimmers or divers, basking sharks, sometimes known as “bone sharks”, pose no threat to people or other aquatic creatures. These sharks, much like whales, filter large volumes of ocean water through their teeth to consume plankton and other microorganisms, which are their primary food source.
When foraging for food, they may often move around the surface or even float there with their jaws wide open. They are the only shark species outside the great white and the basking shark that subsist only on plankton, making them the second biggest known species of shark.
