I thought it fitting that the first video uploaded to Rumble should be the first one I ever shot. It is a nature documentary about the Flint River in Georgia and its path. "The Waters Of The Flint River" is a captivating documentary that explores the hidden world of freshwater in Georgia. This stunning film takes us on a journey through the Flint River, from the hilltops where it begins to the valley where its waters gather. Even though only 3% of Earth's water is fresh, the Flint River demonstrates freshwater's incredible power and beauty. This film captures the raw power of the river's unimpeded flow and its ability to shape the landscape and create new ecosystems. From towering cliff faces to crystal-clear springs, the Flint River provides a home for a diverse range of species. The film showcases the freshwater gastropods and blue herons that thrive in the river's ecosystem and how they adapt to the river's ever-changing flow. This documentary is special because it focuses on the Flint River as our first film-making attempt. Despite our lack of experience, we were determined to capture the beauty and wonder of this hidden world and bring it to a broader audience. Through trial and error, we learned how to use cameras and edit footage, resulting in a stunning piece of work showcasing nature's raw beauty. "The Water Of The Flint River" is a testament to human curiosity's power and ability to learn and create something beautiful from scratch. It is an inspiring example of what we can achieve when we set our minds to something and work hard to make it a reality.
