Flush trim bit action
A little trim bit action today with some Elm and Black Walnut. Of all the things I do in the shop, this is the process that scares me the most. So hold on tight and enjoy the ride.

Crosscut Sled
Earlier this week I built this crosscut sled because, well, I wanted/needed one and I knew this large cutting board was on my list. Cutting this elm board and gluing it up as an end grain board. I'll post that when its done. In the meantime this sled is exactly what I needed.

Using template and bow ties from @slabstitcher
Today was bow tie day. Using template and bow ties from @slabstitcher I added bow ties to the elm slabs I have been milling to create console tables. Once inserted I cleaned them up with @mirka_usa @mirka_abrasives devos sander. "note to self" - always have vendor name right side up LOL.

Soft Close, Face Frame Hinge Installation
n this video I discuss what soft close hinges I like to use, the tools that I use for the installs and how I try to make my life a little easier when installing the hinges and installing the doors onto the cabinet. If you stay to the end I have posted pictures and links of the items that I talk about in the video. I have also posted them below. I forgot to mention in the video the Texas canvas Wear apron that I am wearing.
This is not a sponsored video however the Amazon links are affiliate links which help pay for the time I use to create these videos. The Rockler link is not an affiliate.

Blum undermount drawer slides
Today I am installing @blum_usa Tandem plus BLUMOTION 563H/563 for the first time. These are the easiest and best drawer slides I have ever installed. They allow for full drawer access from front to back. They make removing and reinserting the drawer easy.

Leveling sled
I upgraded my 1” flattening bit to the slab slayer 2 1/2” flattening bit to improve the process. I am using the @triton_tools 3 1/4 HP router on my sled. With the bit installed, just hold on when you fire this baby up. With this sled, router and bit, nothing is impossible. This elm was no match for the tool today

Unique Table Pedestal and Flush trim bit action
Never discount the value of a good template and a flush trim bit. This 1 3/4" maple put the bit to the test but with a little muscle power, these legs ended up pretty sweet. I am building a Maple table with a unique pedestal on each each end. Thank goodness for a solid table from @jessemtoolcompany, @boschtoolsna and an awesome @amanatool flush trim bit from @toolstoday

Childs Adirondack Chair made with Eastern Red Cedar
We've been building Adirondack Chairs for over 10 years now. Our adult sized chairs are favorites for their curved back and wide arms. They're perfect for relaxing on the back porch while the kids play.
Once we had grandchildren, we started making a child size Adirondack chair. The kids love these because they fit them so well and Mom and Dad love them because it's a sturdy chair that doesn't tip over easily, even when they roughhouse!
We've put together this post so you can make your own chair. Follow along or download the plans - https://baynecustomwoodworking.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Child-Adirondack-Chair-Plans.pdf
If you're in the Nashville area, we're happy to make them for you. Just contact us info@baynecustomwoodworking.com
