We are going to study the beast from the SEA in today's video. There will soon come a day when a clear understanding of end time prophecy will be key to everyone's salvation. That's why I'm presenting these videos. In Matthew chapter 24 verse 24 Jesus warns us that “for there shall arise in the last days false Christ’s and false prophets and shall show great signs and wonders insomuch that if it were possible they shall deceive the very elect”. We don’t want to be deceived! Today's study is very interesting because many people have various opinions about who really is the beast in Revelation 13:1. Some say it’s the Catholic church’s Pope, others say it's the Antichrist, some say it's the same beast as found in Daniel 7… so who really is this beast? In this multi-part video we will identify this beast’s true identity. To assist me in my understanding of the beast in Rev 13:1 I am going to use the prophecies in the books of Daniel and Revelation. We will be looking at Daniel 2… the Metal Man and Daniel 7… the Terrible Beast and a Little Horn Power. We will also be using Revelation 12 to identify the Dragon and Revelation 17: to discuss the Scarlet Beast. We will proceed at a careful pace so that you can follow along and do your independent Bible study to verify my conclusions. The first Prophecy Principle I want to share with you is the symbolic nature of some prophetic text. In prophecy a word can sometimes be symbolic… meaning that the word represents something else than the normal common definition for that word. In other cases the same word may be used and understood as the common definition exists. This is a very simple rule that we need to understand before we can proceed to unlock the prophecies in Daniel and in the Book of Revelation. In this video we will be investigating two key symbolic words [SEA] and [‘Beast’ from the Sea] to find out their true symbolic meanings. Some Bible teachers claim that a Beast in the book of Revelation or Daniel ALWAYS represents a Kingdom. In this video study we will investigate if this prophecy rule is always valid. We will find that this rule is not always a valid rule and will mislead you in the interpretation of Bible prophecy. There are only four different beasts in the Book of Revelation. The first beast is the dragon which represents the devil. The second beast is the Earth Beast in Revelation 13:11 and is really the devil. The third beast is a Lamb that represents Jesus. And finally there is the Sea Beast identified in Revelation 13:1. That's what our study is all about… identifying the Beasts and finding out what they do in prophecy. It will take several videos for us to build a case and determine who is the Sea Beast. In Revelation 17:15 we learn the Symbolic Definition for the word ‘SEA’. The verse reads like this… “the waters [or seas] which you saw are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues”. So the beast in Rev 13:1 that arises out of the SEA means that this beast comes from amongst the People Groups of the earth. We will learn in future studies that just after the first four trumpets of God's judgment are released on earth the 7 headed SEA Beast will be formed and arise from the people groups on earth. This Sea Beast will be a ruling RELIGIOUS power. More on this Sea Beast as we progress in our studies. Let's look at some characteristics of the Sea Beast. • It had a Leopard body • it had Bear claws • it had a Lion's head 1. It had 7 Heads 2. 10 Horns on it’s Heads 3. 10 Crowns on the 10 Horns 4. Blasphemous Names on each of the 7 Heads 5. One Head was Mortally Wounded 6. The Deadly Wound was Healed when the Beast emerged from the water. Remember: This is a foundational study that we will be building upon as we continue with our video studies.
