Finding cycling loads for the AR15 to make a ladder set
This is testing loads to make sure the powder and load cycle the gun. Then I can make a ladder round set to test the various loads for the best load to use. A good shooting cartridge is not any good if it will not cycle the gun.
Ladder set failure and making this cycle test is posted on my blog here.

9mm Cast Hollow points with 7/8 Bhn hardness
This is a test of using wheel weight lead cut with pure lead to reduce the hardness and try and get better expansion and still keep accuracy. I am thinking it works fairly well, but I need to practice with the Glock more. I don't shoot it enough and am just more comfortable with my 1858 revolver.

Paper cartridges for cap and ball revolvers
This is a very easy cheap way I learned two years back from Dave Berken on YouTube. I do mine using his method but vary based on not making the squishy wads and also needing vegitable wads also.

Ozone closet to remove scent from hunting clothes
This is the ozone closet setup I made for removing the scent from my clothes. One thing I did not explain in the video is if you have not run this in a day or two, the ozone will be gone. The ozone half life is short and can be gone in a day or two depending on conditions. Sometimes I re-run it when I have not hunted in a while. Such as winter work weeks and hunting Saturday morning. I will probably run it Friday night again. I think fresh ozone on your clothes helps with scent you make while walking in.
This is the unit I used, and purchased from Amazon, for my closet and is shown on the video. This was the original unit they had with their logo on it. They have since switched to a small unit. But this will work for what you need.

Braunschweiger or Liverwurst for 2020
This Liverwurst to some and Braunschweiger to me and others and it is a form of Pâté. I wanted to make Pâté out of Venison livers and saw a recipe by the Drunk chef using pig livers. I ended up adapting his recipe for the size and qualities that would match using deer livers in place. This is the end of that process and my favorite way to eat deer livers.
More explanation and the recipe can be found on my blog post for this. Some times I cover things I forgot to record.

I needed extra shelves in my smokehouse and wanted to try an option for people that do not have a welder. These can't hold a lot of weight although I have put 10 pounds of bologna on one in me Lebanon bologna video.

This was the first run of sausage from out butchering a half a pig and the scrapes from that. This is a nice sausage we like to keep on hand for brats on rolls or for additions to meals.

Maple sausage
This was the left over from a bacon side and pork scrap from butchering half a pig. I did 20# in Sweet Italian brats, coming in another video and this was the 13# left over after that. This is a supposed Jimmy Dean maple sausage clone recipe I was suggested to try. I’ll have to report back more on that later, but the fry test was pretty good.

Lebanon bologna and running the smokehouse
This covers the making of bologna in the smokehouse and a short overview of how the smokehouse works. A more in depth smokehouse video will come later on.
This is my first time making a video since switching to Linux (Ubuntu) and using Open shot as a video maker. Also only recording with an Iphone and no external mic yet, working on that.

Fat content calculator
When making your own sausages, summer sausages or bologna you need to know about how much fat to add into the mixture. Or at least if you are using pork or beef, you should know which cuts of meat to buy and if they need fat or not added.
The proper amount of fat in your sausages can actually make the spices more accessible to your tongue and improve the flavor. Plus no one likes dry, crumbly sausages.
Here is the link so you can download the excel sheet to your own computer to make the calculations and save it for later use.

Chicken feeder, wall mount, no waste
With the dimensions I used this feeder easily holds 10 gallons of feed. The slide ramp at the bottom always keeps the food moving from top to bottom and there is never a place for old food to rest and get wasted. This can hold enough feeder for 20 or chickens all week.
There is a view port to be able to see how full the feeder is and this is mounted on the wall opposite the nesting boxes so we can check feed while collecting eggs.
Here is the link to my blog post on making one.

Larger chicken waterer
This video shows a larger 15 gallon chicken waterer with horizontal nipples that will keep 24 chickens in water for a week.
We normally use apple cider vinegar in it for two weeks and then 1/2 a tablespoon of bleach to 15 gallons to kill algae on the third week. Then back to ACV the next week.
A stock tank heater in the bottom in the winter and these nipples do not freeze as the water cups do, but the chickens waste more water with them, but water is free from my well.

Deer cooler with DIY Coolbot clone
This is a video covering how we made a DIY deer cooler, on the cheap, to be able to hunt and process our deer the next day or a few days later in the hot weather. You could use this to age your deer also in unstable weather as we have in Maryland.
We used two temperature controllers to trick an air conditioner to run at lower temperatures and make a cooler box. The first closes the circuit and tells the compressor to run. The second monitors the coil and opens the circuit and turns the compressor off when the coil starts to freeze up. If you have it set for the fan to run 24/7 it will de-ice the coil and still force cool air into the cooler. If the coil freezes the air conditioner will overload and trip out the breaker, if not burning it self up.

Butchering gloves
This is quick video on how I use cut resistance gloves and nitrile (latex) gloves to make a combination for butchering gloves. The combination keeps the cut gloves from getting very dirty and also acts as an insulation layer to keep your hands warm from the cold meat. It is very helpful for hand mixing meats with spices.

Internal cooking temperatures for summer sausages
There is no need to cook summer, smoked suasages and snack sticks to temperatures that might dry your product (meat) out. You can maintain lower temperatures for specific lengths of time to reach the same safety of your product.

Butchering table with sink, fold up style
I wanted a butchering table that would fold up, hold a sink and be tall enough not to have to lean over so far and hurt my back. Plus at 36” to the top, it is equal to my kitchen island and can be used to expand that for crab feasts or parties.
