WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA Invocation by Ann M. Wolf
WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA: "May our fields of remembrance be touched with the true beauty of green & red. Green is to remind us to pray for the soul of our nation; and with red, we acknowledge in humble gratitude, those who sacrificed or who gave their life's blood to obtain and secure Liberty." Chaplain Ann M. Wolf - "Wreaths Across America Invocation"
Ann M. Wolf - c 2015 - BMI All rights reserved.
MORE ABOUT "WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA": On Memorial Day, we remember our veterans who have fallen in battle, who have became lost as a POW or MIA, or who have passed from this world. Yet Memorial Day is every day for lovers of Liberty. So, for those wishing to continue to express their hearts for Freedom as well as for our Veterans, all year long, there is an exciting movement already underway, getting ready for a great day of commemoration known as "Wreaths Across America Day," held each year in December. There is a place for each citizen to lend a hand, from raising funds to placing wreaths at gravesites as well as participating in one of the thousands of memorial events which will be held on land and sea, across the USA & even around the world.
THE NARRATION SCRIPT: This narration was originally written by Chaplain Ann M. Wolf as requested by Gold Star Mother, Bernie Wickman Koprince, to be a part of the Wreaths Across America service which was held in Dec. of 2013, Knoxville, TN. Then, in Spring of 2015, Ann joined forces with her producer Tracy Collins to combine the script with one of his marvelous scores in preparing to share this Invocation with America.
Acknowledgments: Thank you to our Veterans for what you have done to preserve Liberty; and to their families who sacrificed as well. Thank you to all the people behind Wreaths Across America from its inception to today. Thank you to Bernie Koprince for inviting me to write a prayer for this great event which got me started on an amazing journey of discovery about more great things American citizens are doing to keep the Spirit of Patriotism, Respect & Honor alive. Special thanks to Tracy Collins for allowing the use of his composition for this project; and also to historian & teacher, Leo Gawroniak for his contributions which helped to make this project possible. Finally, thank you to all the photographers for their special passion which helps keep our history in our hearts.

This KIA Ceremony is a moving collaboration honoring our Fallen, by Songwriter Ann M. Wolf & Combat Veteran, SSG Brad Heun (history & background on the Soldier's Cross by Brad Heun & the narration script by Ann M. Wolf). The unforgettable, soul-piercing musical score is written and produced by Ann's producer, Tracy Collins.
COLLABORATORS: SSG Brad Heun works tirelessly on behalf of Veterans in East TN via the Volunteer Veterans Honor Guard, the VFW, and other area civic groups. Ann M. Wolf is known for her spiritual & patriotic songwriting and narrations. Ann says, "My hope is that with these videos I do, more citizens will come to understand the Price of Freedom and what it has cost the veterans and their families. It is imperative that most of America, (and not just a small percentage), learn to treasure Liberty and what it took to obtain it as well what it takes to keep it. It is also of utmost urgency that our national priorities become re-ordered so that those who serve in harm's way (to include our military and first-responders), receive priority care."

PTSD Through the eyes of a Vietnam Vet - OUR TIME, OUR TURN
Because losing one is one too many...
ABOUT THIS VIDEO: It is "Our Time & Our Turn" to offer our support to our veterans & 1st-responders who are in recovery from service-related injuries. Ann M. Wolf narrates a moving message about the anguish which our soldiers & 1st-responders often endure, whether physical, mental, or emotional, as a result of serving in harm's way. The opening segment was written by VIETNAM VETERAN & PTSD healing & recovery facilitator, Joe Doyle, which is read by Ann M. Wolf to the instrumental track of her BB King-style blues song, "I Feel a Song Comin' On," This composition was arranged & produced by Tracy Collins.
With the USA losing veterans & 1st-responders to suicide daily, citizens are mobilizing and reaching out to our service men & women to offer a hand of fellowship in the form of amazing & creative programs, events & resources designed to promote healing and recovery for those who have endured some of life's most difficult challenges. It is the goal of thousands of activists, that no veteran or 1st-responder feel alone and unsupported.
Following the narration, several innovative individuals and groups are mentioned as examples of the many ways that citizens can become involved or that those who need support can find comfort, genuine friendship, and care as they heal. Special thanks to Marine, Joe Doyle for sharing his beautiful commentary with all of us through this video. To learn more about The Warrior Connection, go to: http://www.warriorconnection.org/

Star-Spangled Banner + Trailer about Legal Voting & Honoring Those Who Serve
ABOUT: Classic orchestration, soaring vocals, and heart-stirring images remind us of the value of Liberty & of those who have defended it, as well as give us a glimpse into history (Battle of 1812), which bring to life the Lyrics of our National Anthem. The brief trailer following the song also emphasizes the importance of our participation in the process of holding to Liberty through legal voting & ongoing education about our Constitution & Bill of Rights.
HISTORY: "The Star-Spangled Banner," was composed after Francis Scott Key saw that an American flag still stood over Fort McHenry and after a night of fierce fighting during the Battle of Baltimore. The song became the national anthem in 1931. The flag, at 42 feet by 30 feet, was the largest in the nation at the time, and today it is on display in the National Museum of American History. "The Star-Spangled Banner" was composed during the War of 1812. However, it was originally a poem called "The Defense of Fort McHenry." After it was written, it was set to a popular melody written by English composer John Stafford Smith for the Anacreontic Society, a men's social club in London.

National Anthem & Lyrics - Ann M. Wolf Singing
THE NATIONAL ANTHEM
(Read & Sing-Along)
Lyrics:
Oh say can you see
By the dawn’s early light
What so proudly we hailed
At the twilight’s last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars
Through the perilous fight
O’er the ramparts we watched,
Were so gallantly streaming
And the rockets red glare,
The bombs bursting in air
Gave proof through the night
That our flag was still there;
Oh! Say does that Star-Spangled Banner
Yet wave!
O’er the land of the free
And the home of the brave.
O’er the land of the free
And the home of the brave.
Author of the Lyrics: The lyrics are originally from “Defence of Fort McHenry”, a poem written in 1814 by Francis Scott Key, and the music came from a popular British song written by John Stafford Smith for the Anacreontic Society.

NEVER BROKEN Honoring Native American Code Talkers with Ann M. Wolf
“NEVER BROKEN” The Video about Code Talkers (A.K.A. Windtalkers): Set to the soundtrack of Ann M. Wolf’s haunting song, "What Will We Leave for the 7th Generation?" she narrates a soul-stirring portrayal of our Native American Code Talkers with special commentary from her friend Larry Montoya, Marine and member of the Hopi Nation.
WHO ARE CODE TALKERS? From the narration script, "Before cell phones, before high-speed internet, before satellite communications...there served a group of Native American Heroes who operated with one of the most efficient & powerful means of communication that our American Military had ever seen. Throughout World Wars I and II, these faithful warriors worked as a highly efficient and secret team, using a special way of speaking that the enemy was never able to understand, having developed a unique “code” in the transmission of vital intelligence that was based on their own language, and one which the enemy was never able to crack.”
ANN SINGS...HONORING OUR NATIVE AMERICAN HEROS, WARRIORS & TEACHERS: As she concludes the reading of the narration, the song opens up with rocket intensity, transporting you to plains & plateaus on "Wings of Eagles" as she sings the poetic verses which reflect her years walking with many Native American leaders, musicians, and teachers. The video then continues by naming over 30 Nations who offered up their warriors to become heroes, serving as Code Talkers throughout WWI & WWII.

"Polishin' Up My Stone" By Ann M. Wolf, c 2013, BMI
Chorus:
Kickin' on down the road
Kickin' on down the road
Ready or not
It's time to learn a lot
And I'm polishin' up my stone.
Kickin' on down the road
Kickin' on down the road
Ready or not
It's time to learn a lot
And I'm polishin' up my stone.
Verse One:
Turnin' my stone over
In my restless fingers
Thinkin' about where it's been
And how it came to be smooth
Turnin' my thoughts over
And all my restless feelings
Thinkin' about where I've been
And my next move...
Chorus:
So I'll be...
Kickin' on down the road
Kickin' on down the road
Ready or not
It's time to learn a lot
Gotta polish up my stone.
Verse Two:
Turnin' hours over
And now they move so quickly
Thinkin' about what I've done
With my days;
So I'm turnin' my life over
Cause times' movin' swiftly
Thinkin' about what's yet to do
And all that's left to say...
So I'll be...
Chorus:
Kickin' on down the road
Kickin' on down the road
Ready or not
It's time to learn a lot
And I'm polishin' up my stone.
Bridge:
Second chances
And Mercy, I need that
So I'm grabbin' my knapsack
Tossin' on my hat...
Chorus:
And I'll be
Kickin' on down the road
Kickin' on down the road
Ready or not
It's time to learn a lot
And I'm polishin' up my stone.
Instrumental break...
Kickin' on down the road
Kickin' on down the road
Ready or not
Still gotta learn a lot
And I'm polishin' up my stone.
Kickin' on down the road
Kickin' on down the road
Ready or not
Still gotta learn a lot
And I'm polishin' up my stone.
Gotta polish up my stone...
I'm polishin' up my stone

LYRICS: "So Full A' Tears"
So full a' tears
Been so full a' tears....
Well, I'd talk to you every mornin'
And I'd talk to you every night
Lookin' for the reasons
Lookin' for "the why"
I could see them still standin'
Staring at me
As I would pass by
Wonderin' what I could give
To stop their sorrow
Or to somehow make things right
So full a' tears, ah oh
Been so full a' tears...
Well I'd reach for you with the sunrise
Still be reaching into the night
It was hard to take a breath
Cause it burned like fire
I had tried everything
I could think of
For someone to cherish me
Giving all that I knew
It was never enough
So I stayed invisible
And...
So full a' tears, ya, ya...
So full a' tears....
Bridge:
But you came for me
Out of a heavenly dream
Just a breath away
Was a place I'd never seen
Beyond my fear and rage
I saw a peace, this world can't give
You took me by the hand
And showed me a new way to live, Ya...
(Short instrumental passage)
So full a' tears
Been so full a' tears
Now I sit with you every mornin'
And I walk with you all the day
I still don't have all the answers
Ooo, but love is here to stay
I can feel your strength fill me
Movin' through me
Healin' all my shame
When I think of the way
That you love us
My tears they fall like rain
So full a' tears, Ya..
So full a' tears, Ya...
So full of tears....

Flag- Folding Ceremony - Meaning of Each Fold with Ann M. Wolf
DEDICATION: Dedicated to Honor Guards & our Fallen from across America, as well as to all patriots who keep our Veterans, 1st-Responders (& families) in their hearts.
THIS VERSION: This film expresses one interpretation of the purpose & meaning of each phase of the "Flag Folding Ceremony" as conducted at funerals, memorials, & special events. There are likely to be many "versions" but regardless of which one used, the point and principle is to honor, to remember, to respect not only the Flag itself and its meaning but every person who has upheld & defended our Constitutional Liberties & Freedom.
SOUNDTRACK: Ann M. Wolf narrates this moving, traditional script to the background of her song, "Can We Bring Those Days Back Again." This is an interpretation which she discovered is widely used by Honor Guards in her area of the USA.
DISCLOSURE: THIS "VERSION" OF THE FLAG FOLDING CEREMONY CONTAINS MENTION OF GOD. If this is offensive to you, please do not click play or share; rather, I suggest you do a google search for a different interpretation which expresses your views. (In addition, all citizens are welcome to design a Ceremony which reflects their viewpoint).
DISCLOSURE: The use of the Bible or mention of God in this version of the Flag Folding Ceremony Script is NOT to exclude or deny any other faith on the planet or to disrespect those who are atheists or those who have no specific faith; it is simply a gesture of love from my heart to yours. Veterans, First-Responders & their families being honored in this ceremony suffered and/or died so that I would have the Freedom to perform this ceremony and so that any listeners could choose to watch or walk away, according to their views. This version has been adapted (from the TN Volunteer Veterans Honor Guard Version) by myself as a Judeo/Christian Chaplain, and it is my gift of thanks for the sacrifices which obtained my freedom & help to maintain my safety. When I perform this Ceremony, it is offered out of love & respect to the Veteran community and their families (regardless of their race, denomination, culture, political views, etc.) who "paid the price" and a price I could never repay except to use my Freedom to try and help or encourage others. Thank you and sincerely, Chaplain Ann M. Wolf - Now, back to the film . . .
FLAG CODE: Though there is a "Flag Code" offering information about the care & folding of our Flag ... details of the origin of this traditional version of the Flag-Folding Ceremony are unknown.
Special mention is given to Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard for East, TN, as well as to other contributors of images, music & sponsorship, also from the East, TN area.

Time In The Journey of the Soul
ABOUT: Soft in voice, yet full in message; this delta-blues/folk & stylistic piece reminds us of the joy in our journey as we travel through life, learning as we grow as souls. Written & sung by Ann M. Wolf, arranged & produced by Tracy Collins, this song represents the "softer side" of the otherwise rockin' "Nothin' But the Blues Without You" CD by Ann M. Wolf.

LYRICS:
“Time In The Journey of the Soul”
Chorus:
Fire is hot
And ice is cold
We start out young
Then we grow old
But the only thing that matters
I’ve come to know
Is the time in the journey of the soul
Ah Oh…
Is the time in the journey of the soul
Verse One:
“Mama, mama,” asked the child
Why does it hurt when I cry?
All these changes goin’ by
Where is a peace that I can find?”
Chorus:
She said…
“Fire is hot
And ice is cold
We start out young
Then we grow old
But the only thing that matters
You’ll come to know
Is time in the journey of the soul
Ah oh…
Is the time in the journey of the soul”
Verse Two:
“Daddy,” cried the little one
“I start out happy; then I get glum.
I can’t hide and I can’t run
I can’t hang on to a drop of sun!”
Chorus:
He said…
“Fire is hot
And ice is cold
We start out young
Then we grow old;
And these are answers you’ll come to know
When you walk in the journey of the soul
Ah oh…
When you walk in the journey of the soul.”
Instrumental Break…
Verse Three:
Glory, glory…
I’m that child
Sometimes I find
My soul gets tired…
I hear those words
When I am quiet
Then I can stand again…
Chorus:
I hear…
“Fire is hot
And ice is cold
We start out young
Then we get old
And these are the answers we come to know
When we walk in the journey of the soul
Ah oh…
When we walk in the journey of the soul.”
Fire is hot
And ice is cold
We start out young
Then we get old
But if we seek, we’ll come to know
That’s the promise that we’ve been told
Ah oh…
Peace for us to know
Ah oh…
When we walk in the journey of the soul
When we walk in the journey of the soul…
When we walk
In the journey
Of the soul…

What Will We Leave for the 7th Generation
Video Description: "What Will We Leave for the 7th Generation?" ( With Lyrics)
On wings of soaring eagles and to the heartbeat of soul-stirring & rhythmic music, journey deep into the world of Native American spirituality; this video explores the question stated in the title of the song. Ann sings about our life's purpose with regard to leaving a legacy of love & good works which future generations can benefit from, a mission which would include the preservation of our beautiful planet as well as becoming responsible & caring stewards of all resources.
"In every deliberation, we must consider the impact on the Seventh Generation." Iroquois Teaching
Ann was profoundly influenced by this statement many years ago during her years with Native American events, leaders, artists, & elders; and this eventually led to the writing of the "7th Generation" song which was first recorded in the late 80s becoming the title cut of an album by the same name. Having re-recorded the song this Spring (2016), it holds a place in the lineup of tracks in her album, "Redemption."
"NEVER BROKEN" VIDEO: The extended version of this song is the soundtrack for the video, "Never Broken," dedicated to Native American CODE TALKERS, honoring them for their invaluable contribution to Freedom.
WATCH: "Never Broken" about our Native American Code Talkers, found on Ann M. Wolf's YouTube Channel.
Ann also recognizes two of her Native American teachers in this video, Twylah Nitsch & Sun Bear whom she walked & served with, among other leaders, in her earlier years as a songwriter & spiritual teacher.

WHAT IS A HERO? Blues/Rock as delivered by Ann M. Wolf singing her original "For Every Tear I Cry." With soulful urgency, she drives the message through about the heroes all around us, often serving in harm's way or doing the extraordinary. Ann's friend, Sgt. Jack F. Keller says, "Heroes are like stars all around us, some shine bright and others you may not see, but they are everywhere, not seeking recognition or re-payment." Special thanks to Nolan Wright for sharing his Huey Sounds with us for this video of which Mp3s were also featured in the Video, "After Vietnam, The Healing."
