Paul is in prison again. Yes, again. This poor guy is suffering like a champ! While Paul is in prison, he gets word that there are some pretty bad, false teachers spreading a twisted message of the gospel- you know, the kind that's half-true. In fact, Jesus, Himself, while He was alive criticized the church in Laodicea for trying to be "progressive" and watering down the word of God with man's laws and traditions. Jesus called them LUKEWARM. It can be really hard as a brand-new Christian to know the difference between what's right and wrong when it comes to the Word of God. That's why Paul pays special attention in his letter to this church. In this letter, he give the people special instructions to stop teaching the WRONG way of being a Christian. We'll share what he said in this video today.
